How Everyone In The Paddock Knows You're Dating : ̗̀➛ F1 Reaction
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
» Max Verstappen
He’s naturally paying attention to you, without even realising that he’s doing it until one of the team nudges his side. The team are well aware of Max’s eyes trailing across to look at you, or switching off to the conversation as soon as you start talking. He doesn’t know he’s doing it, but the team are well trained and constantly have to remind Max to pay attention again. He can’t help but smile whenever he’s looking at you, especially when he watches you walk around the garage with such an interest, showing a genuine enthusiasm for learning as much as you can about where Max works and what he does,
» Lando Norris
He’s like a big kid most of the time, but Lando becomes a lot softer whenever he’s around you, like you make him weak at the knees just from being by his side. The team notice how needy he becomes as soon as he’s in your presence, searching for affection as often as possible. Lando stops focusing on anyone else, the only person that he wants to be around is you. No one in the garage can believe how different Lando is when he’s around you, how he stumbles around, how he giggles uncontrollably, how he can’t bear to be in the same room as you without some sort of physical contact.
» Charles LeClerc
Everyone knows that your Charles because his eyes are always watching you. He loves knowing exactly where you are, forever checking that you’re alright and that you’re safe. When he loses sight of you, Charles can’t help but panic, eyes darting around until he spots you again. There’s a fondness in his eyes whenever he’s watching you, if you’re smiling, he’s smiling, if you’re laughing, he laughs with you, and if you seem upset, Charles gets upset too, heading over to you to see if you’re alright. It doesn’t matter what’s happening at the paddock, Charles loves the feeling of knowing that you’re right there with him, like a comfort right by his side.
» George Russell
No one in the paddock can fault how much of a gentleman George is for you, despite how busy he is, he always manages to make time to do all the little things for you. He holds the door open for you at every opportunity, keeps his arm around you to protect you from the crowd, offers you his jacket whenever he notices that you’re getting cold, anything that he can in order to keep you safe. Before a race George checks up on you, makes sure that you’re warm enough, had plenty of food, and ensures you’re sat where you can see the race in a spot that’s nice and quiet.
» Carlos Sainz
His smile always gets bigger the second he notices you’re around, usually spotting you out of the corner of his eye whilst half listening to what’s being said by the team. When he knows you’re nearby, Carlos is eager for things to be wrapped up as soon as possible so he can go over and see you. As soon as you’re within touching distance, Carlos’ arm wraps around you, with a kiss pressed to the top of your head to greet you, wondering what you’ve been up to whilst he’s been busy. Nobody else needs to look to see if you’re there, they can tell by the excitement in Carlos’ expression that you’re around.
» Oscar Piastri
Every single person in the paddock has listened to Oscar tell some sort of story about you, he loves telling them about you. He talks about you with so much excitement that every single one of them knows just how in love Oscar is with you too, sounding much happier than he ever does when he’s talking about his car. He remembers every last detail about the things that he does with you, and has the world’s biggest smile on his face whenever he shares them with anyone. It’s one thing that he’ll never tire of, forever gushing about you around his team.
» Daniel Ricciardo
It’s the little things that everyone in the paddock notices that Daniel always does for you. It’s the way he passes you one of his caps if it’s particularly sunny or passes you his water bottle to drink out of when you tell him that you’re getting thirsty and can’t get through to get a drink. He’s constantly attentive, despite how busy he’s supposed to be, he can’t help but still pay attention and make sure that he’s protecting you. The whole team knows just how in love Daniel is with you, after all, he doesn’t take care of any of them anywhere near as well as he takes care of you.
» Lewis Hamilton
The team can’t help but admire the way that Lewis looks at you, like you’re the most fragile person in the world that he has to protect. He loves to have you glued to his side when he’s at the paddock, no matter who he’s talking to. Whether it be a team meeting, a chat with a sponsor, or providing some feedback to Toto and Bono, Lewis still has his eyes on you. You don’t say much, not that you can, but when you do speak, Lewis looks at you with such an adoring look that the rest of the team can’t help but admire how fond Lewis is of you.

Halfway Round The World For You : ̗̀➛ Max Verstappen
summary: as the two of you find long distance harder, max comes up with a solution that might just solve your problem of being so far away
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A groan came from you as once again your call went unanswered, the beep of Max’s answerphone your usual greeting. You looked down at your watch again, sure that he would be awake as you quickly did the maths to figure out the current time difference between you both again.
Whilst he was getting himself ready for the day, you were ready to see the end of it. As usual, there was one final thing that you needed to do before falling asleep, and that was to speak to Max and catch up.
Mostly, he agreed to do it as it was his way of checking up on you. When you were so far away from him whilst he was racing, he worried about you. Were you resting? Eating? Not getting stressed at work? He never really knew the answer unless he called you and got to see for himself.
As you were about to give up, your phone rang, making you jump. You glanced across, quickly picking up. “Hi love.”
“Hi, I thought you were too busy for me today.”
“Don’t be silly,” Max grinned, adjusting his phone so that you could see his face.
Your smile turned up as you sat your phone down on your bedside table to free your hands up. As you glanced at Max though, his usual smile wasn’t there, replaced by a frown that had you worrying.
“How’s everything going? Are you all ready for the race this weekend?” You quizzed, excited to see Max back behind the wheel for the start of the new season.
His head nodded, with hardly any expression on his face. “The car is alright, but I’m not exactly confident.”
His voice sounded dejected, the passion that Max usually spoke about work with had gone. He brushed his hand through his hair as he let go of a sigh which you just about managed to hear.
“What’s going on Max?” You asked him, “and don’t say nothing, because I know you too well.”
His heart sunk as his eyes met yours on the screen, noticing just how concerned you were. Although he was halfway around the world, you knew him like the back of your hand, picking up on all the signs that things weren’t right.
“It’s ridiculous, isn’t it? I managed to spend most of the off season with you and I’m already missing you. I just know I’m probably not going to be able to spend any proper time with you again until summer break,” Max confessed.
You smiled weakly as he spoke, “I’ll still come to most of your races Max, and when I can I’ll fly out to Monaco to see you, you know we always make it work.”
“But I’m fed up of having to make it work, this isn’t how I want it to be forever, I’m so fed up of this long-distance thing.”
You didn’t know what to say as Max’s eyes looked down from the phone, staring down at the ground. You could tell this was something that had been troubling Max for some time as he finally offloaded on you. You gave yourself a moment before responding, trying your best to figure out the right thing to say, not wanting to make Max feel any worse than he already did.
“It’s not going to be like this forever.”
Max wanted to believe you, but he just wasn’t sure. It had been two years of back and forth between you both, and it wasn’t getting any easier. If anything, Max found it harder, he wanted to spend more time with you, but he just couldn’t.
“I wish you could be with me, permanently,” Max confessed. “It’s so strange how weird everything feels without you by my side. All the little things, like how we were constantly bumping into each other trying to move around your flat.”
“I miss it too,” you assured, staring around your empty flat. “But you’ve got work, another world championship to win, and I don’t have the money to be able to fly out with you every weekend, or ever afford a place in Monaco.”
Your words caught Max’s attention for a moment as he let go of a hum. You could tell by the way his eyes narrowed that Max was thinking about something, studying him closely as you tried to figure out what exactly was going through his head.
Max knew that Monaco was an expensive place, and not somewhere that you wouldn’t be able to stay by himself, but that didn’t mean that it was somewhere that you could rule out, not completely anyway.
“What about if we did something about that? What if Monaco wasn’t a place where you had to live all by yourself?” Max asked you, watching as you looked at him in confusion.
“What are you trying to say Max?” You enquired.
The way his smile turned up had you worrying, you knew that Max had plenty of crazy ideas, dreading to think what sort of master plan he had come up with this time.
“I’m saying why don’t you move to Monaco, but come and stay with me. You spent most of the summer with me anyway, and work would allow you to stay there,” Max encouraged. “Even if I’m still racing, it means each time I’m home we can spend time together.”
You went to speak, but your voice faltered, struggling to believe what you’d heard. “That’s a huge move,” you whispered, “Monaco isn’t exactly next door, it’s thousands of miles away.”
“But it’s where I am love.”
Your head nodded, you knew that Max had a point, but moving wasn’t an easy thing. There would be plenty of things that you’d have to leave behind, uncertain as to whether that was something that you could do.
“It’s a huge thing Max.”
“I know,” he frowned, worried that he had put his foot in it. “I’m not saying you need to make a decision now; I just thought it would be nice for us to be together properly.
Max was beginning to regret his offer as he noticed the panic in your eyes. You didn’t know what you wanted, you loved your home, but you loved Max too. It was a huge sacrifice, and although you loved visiting Monaco, was it the place that you wanted to live forever?
“You don’t need to agree, or disagree now,” Max insisted, “I’m not saying you’d have to move permanently either. But if you did move to Monaco, I’d help you every step of the way. Moving, sorting work out, finding things for you to do, I’d do whatever it took. The thought of having you there every morning though is like a dream.”
Your hands ran through your hair, your heart racing as you overthought everything. Every possible situation, good and bad, suddenly seemed to rush through your mind as fast as a race car.
“Can you just say something? Anything?” Max whimpered.
Your eyes slowly flickered up to look at the screen again, your heart aching as you looked at Max, knowing that he was so far away from you.
“I’d love to move to Monaco,” you told him, much to his relief. “It’s not going to be an easy move, but you’re right, we can’t carry on like this forever Max.”
“Really? And you’re absolutely sure?” Max asked, wanting to double check.
Your head nodded, sure in your heart that Monaco was the perfect place for you. “If it’s where you are, then it’s where I want to be too.”
“You’ve got no idea how happy you’ve just made me,” Max chuckled, “I love you, I can’t wait to have you with me, to finally make my place a home for the both of us.”
“I love you too, Max.”

"I Can't Sleep Without You" : ̗̀➛ Daniel Ricciardo
summary: after watching you walk out after an argument, daniel finds himself unable to settle knowing that you're not there with him
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your eyes found themselves fixated on the ceiling once again, unable to push your argument with Daniel away from the forefront of your mind. It replayed again and again, the things you said, the feelings that surfaced, the hurt that Daniel had caused.
Soon enough you found yourself walking out of the apartment, deciding to spend the night at a friend’s house. You thought it would be the perfect thing to do to forget about it, but you couldn’t have been further from the truth.
Just like you, Daniel laid wide awake, struggling to believe what had happened. The bed felt empty without you, all he wanted was for you to be back there with him again. He couldn’t remember the last night he spent without you, although he knew the reason for it was all down to him.
Arguments were rare between the two of you which was why you were both so overwhelmed. You’d shouted at Daniel louder than you ever had done before, likewise he’d said things you never thought you’d hear come from him leaving you both clashing.
On his chest, Daniel’s phone kept lighting up. Each time he looked in anticipation that it might be a notification from you, only to be left disappointed each time he checked.
No matter how many times he closed his eyes, Daniel soon found them open again as he thought about your argument and the things that he regretted. He knew now the things that he should have said, angry at himself for not saying those things rather than what he ended up saying to you.
He knew the blame landed on him, but that didn’t stop Daniel feeling sorry for himself laying in the cold bed all by himself. The feeling of being without you was horrendous, hoping that you were struggling just as much as he was not being by his side.
As another hour passed, Daniel picked up his phone again, scrolling through his list of contacts. His finger hovered over your name for a moment, silently debating with himself whether calling you was the best thing to do or not.
Your eyes grew heavy once more when suddenly you were disturbed by the vibrations that came from underneath your pillow, reaching your hand under and pulling out your phone.
When you saw Daniel’s name, your immediate response was to answer, that was until you remembered what had happened. You toyed with the idea for a moment, deciding to accept Daniel’s call on the last ring, gently pressing your phone to your ear, greeted by the sound of Daniel heavy breathing.
“Dan,” you sighed, “what are you calling for at this time?”
“I’m sorry, I know it’s late,” he replied, stunning you with how his voice wavered with upset. “I just wanted you to know how sorry I am. I’ve been such an idiot love, and now I’m lying here, unable to sleep without you here.”
As he fell silent, you could hear Daniel sniffing as he tried to fight back the tears. You couldn’t begin to imagine how hard he was being on himself, unable to remember the last time that you heard Daniel upset, let alone crying and wiping away his tears.
“It’s probably really selfish of me to ask, but is there any way that you could come home? I can’t sleep without you, and judging by the fact you answered my call, I'm guessing that you’re the same.”
A sigh came from you as you thought for a moment, as much as you loved your friend’s home, it wasn’t the same as being in your own home and in the comfort of your own bed.
“I’ll be there shortly.”
Daniel muttered a thank you before leaving you to start heading home. You grabbed a couple of your things, writing a note for your friend before heading to your car. You were careful as you drove, keeping yourself composed as you dreaded to think how things would go when you got home.
There was a light on as soon as you pulled up outside your home, locking your car and heading to the front door. You barely opened the door before Daniel greeted you, his face red and blotchy from where he had been crying.
“Hi,” you murmured.
A lump ran down your throat as your eyes met Daniel’s, walking into the apartment and taking a seat on the sofa. The place was a mess from how Daniel had left it, with him sitting on the seat beside you, but keeping a bit of distance between you both.
His hands brushed through his hair as he tried his best to stay composed beside you. “I’m glad you decided to come back,” he whispered, “thank you.”
“It’s fine.”
You were blunter than Daniel had hoped, although it was the least that he deserved for how he had treated you, it still hurt him.
“Love,” he slowly whispered, “I can’t begin to tell you how sorry I am. I should never have said what I said, I was selfish, stubborn, inconsiderate, just an awful boyfriend. “
“You were an ass,” you agreed with a faint chuckle, glancing across at Daniel. “I shouldn’t have pestered you so much though, you obviously needed space and I didn’t give that to you, I probably just wound you up more.”
Despite Daniel insisting that he was fine, you refused to believe him. You nagged and nagged, reminding him that he could open up to you. Daniel’s frustrations only grew though as he told you that he was fine, deciding to deal with things all by himself.
“I wish things went differently tonight, Daniel,” you admitted, “this is our home, it’s where we should be spending every single night together.”
“I agree, no matter how angry we are at each other.”
Despite the early hours, the time apart was exactly what you needed. Both of you had some time to reflect, reminding yourselves just how much the two of you hated arguing with one another.
Daniel’s hand slowly reached across and rested against your leg, shuffling along the seat so that the two of you were sat next to each other again. His smile turned up as your head rested down against his shoulder.
“Can we go back to just being us? To cuddling in bed and falling asleep side by side.”
You hummed in reply to Daniel, feeling his arms wrap around your frame as he lifted you up off of the sofa, resting you against his chest to keep you still.
He didn’t let you go as Daniel dropped down onto the bed, resting you into his side as he pulled the duvet over you both. It felt like home again, smiling at how warm it was again with you right there with him.
“This is much better,” Daniel murmured as he rested his head on yours, allowing his eyes to close once again.
Your smile grew as he spoke. “Don’t ever let me complain about uncomfortable our bed is again, she had me sleeping on the sofa and I think if I’d have spent the night there, I’d have ended up with a broken back.”
A chuckle came from Daniel, “that’s because nowhere can compare to our bed, no one makes you feel as comfortable as I do anyway.”
“That’s true, you’re the best.”

Tying His Tie : ̗̀➛ Charles LeClerc
summary: when charles struggles to tie his tie for the event, he's lucky you're there to help him out and help him look dashing in his suit
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You struggled to hold back your laughter as a frustrated sigh came from Charles once again. Your hands straightened your dress out in the corner of your bedroom, glancing back at the commotion that was going on from the other side of the room.
Charles unwrapped the tie from around his neck again, throwing it down on the bed. His brows furrowed as Charles stared cluelessly at his reflection in the mirror, trying to figure out how for some reason he just wasn’t able to tie his tie for the evening.
You picked the tie up off of the bed, walking across the room so that you were stood in front of Charles. His expression softened as soon as he saw you, resting his hands upon your waist.
“Look at you,” he proudly grinned, his eyes trailing down to the ground and back up again. “I can’t believe I get to go to this dinner with the most beautiful girl in the world.”
“And luckily for you, a girl who can tie a tie too,” you teased, lifting Charles’ collar up.
Charles stood still as you took the tie and placed it around his neck. You stood up on your tiptoes to make sure that the tie was straight before taking the two lengths and letting them hang in front of Charles’ chest, taking the thicker side and wrapping it around the thinner side.
His smile was wide as Charles watched the concentration on your face, wanting to make sure that it was perfect. It was one of the few things that he just couldn’t get the hang of, usually relying on a member of his team to help him to tie it properly.
“Why does tying a tie have to be so difficult?” Charles murmured underneath his breath.
You smiled up at him as you tucked the thick edge through the knot, “it’s easy once you get the hang of it.”
You stood back and looked at the knot you had before tightening it so it sat at the top of Charles’ shirt, tucking the thin piece behind the thick, letting it hang perfectly.
Once you were happy with what you had done, you went over to the bedroom door and took Charles’ dinner suit jacket off of the hanger. His hands reached back as you slipped it on, pushing it over his shoulders. Your smile was wide as you stood back again, taking in just how smart Charles looked dressed in his suit, perfect for the charity event you were attending for the evening.
Charles took a step to his right and looked in the mirror again, twirling around in front of it as he admired how nice he looked too.
“You’ve never looked better,” you complimented, only to watch Charles take the tie in his hands.
“I want to have a go at doing it.”
“Are you sure?” You asked, watching as Charles loosened the knot. “Too embarrassed to admit that your girlfriend had to tie your tie for you tonight?”
“It’s about time I learn how to do it,” Charles told you, unfastening it before tucking it underneath his collar and letting the ends hang either side of him.
“I’ll help you, we can tie it together.”
Charles listened closely as you told him what to do, carefully following your instructions. It took a couple of attempts, but soon enough Charles had his own tie, that he had fastened himself, and a proud smile on his face as he checked himself out in the mirror.
“Good job,” you grinned, pulling Charles towards you by the end of his tie, “you look so handsome LeClerc.”
Charles leant down and pressed a kiss against your cheek before sliding his jacket back on again. His arm snaked around your waist and pulled you into his side, turning the two of you so that you were both staring at yourselves in the mirror.
His eyes were wide as Charles studied you both closely, wondering how he ever got so lucky. He couldn’t wait to show you off for the evening and introduce you to everyone. By far, Charles knew you were going to be the best-looking couple at the event for the evening.
“That’s quite a good tie you’ve got going on there,” you teased, tugging against Charles’ tie. “Carlos will be so proud to know that you tied this all by yourself.”
“That’s the first thing that I plan on telling him tonight just so you know.”
“You’ve achieved all sorts in your career, and yet somehow tying your own tie seems like the proudest achievement of them all,” you laughed.
Charles smiled down at you as your hands pressed against his cheeks, stretching up in search of yet another kiss from Charles, which he gratefully gave you.
“Thank you for teaching me how to finally do it,” he whispered in reply.
Charles slipped his hand into yours, grabbing your bag from your dresser beside the door. He turned the bedroom light off before leading you down the stairs. You grabbed your heels whilst Charles got his dinner shoes, kneeling down to tie his laces before moving across the floor to you.
“I’ve got it,” Charles told you, helping to tie the buckle of your heels before you bent down and did it, not wanting for you to ruin your dress.
You stood still as Charles made sure they were both fastened tight before standing up again. “I don’t think I’m going to be able to keep my hands off of you tonight,” you told him, straightening out his jacket.
“That’s funny, because I was thinking the exact same thing.”
Charles’ smile turned up once again as he grabbed his keys from the side, opening up the door to your apartment. The chill took you by surprise, standing further into Charles’ side in search of warmth.
“Part of me doesn’t even want to go tonight anymore, I wish we could just stay here,” Charles told you, closing the door behind him.
You nodded in agreement with him, “I don’t think the mega rich Ferrari sponsors would be particularly happy about that somehow though love.”
“Screw them,” he chuckled, “none of them are as important to me as you are anyway. Like I want to spend any time with them when I’ve got you.”
“You can brag to them all about how you managed to tie your own tie,” you teased, bringing the smile back to Charles’ face again.
You headed down the elevator of your apartment block to where the car was parked to take you both to the event for the evening. Neither of you were particularly fussed about attending, but for the sake of Charles’ career, you knew you at least had to put on a smile.
Charles grabbed the door, holding it for you to climb in, “did I mention tonight how beautiful you look?”
“You might’ve mentioned it once or twice,” you smiled, climbing into the car.
“And I promise to keep telling you too.”
Charles ran around and joined you in the car, resting his hand over the top of yours as soon as he was seated with his seatbelt fastened. Your head rested against Charles’ shoulder, careful not to ruin his jacket by getting any makeup on it.
“I can’t wait to show you off tonight,” Charles grinned, pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
“Don’t be silly, I know you’ll be showing your tie off instead.”

End Of The World : ̗̀➛ Lando Norris
summary: you were fine that morning, so when lando suddenly gets a phone call that changes his things upside down, it feels as if his world has come crashing down
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
His heart sunk as Lando tried to get his head around what he was told on the phone. It was a blur of words to him as Lando tried to piece it altogether, tears falling freely down his cheeks. His knees buckled from underneath him as Lando dropped down into a chair, his breath shaky, heart racing as the call came to an end.
He couldn’t quite believe it, your smile the last thing he saw that morning. Yet after being hit on your way to work, Lando’s world suddenly felt as if it was crashing down, hearing that your unconscious body had been transported to the nearest hospital.
“I-I need to go,” Lando stuttered as he stood up from the meeting, rushing out of the building before anyone could reply. Panicked eyes watched Lando, but he was long gone, sprinting as fast as he could out of the building to where his car was parked. The journey was a blur as Lando blinked through his tears, hurrying into the hospital, shouting out your name.
He was stopped by a doctor holding onto his shoulders, noticing how distressed he was.
“Right this way,” the doctor told him, leading him down the corridor to where Lando could find you. “There is one thing that I must tell you first, your girlfriend is not in a good way. There’s extensive damage, most of it physical, which you need to prepare for.”
“I don’t care,” Lando whispered, “I just want to be with her, please.”
As the door to your room opened, a sharp intake of breath came from him. Lando couldn’t believe his eyes as he noticed the cuts and grazes all over your body, the machines around your bedside with cables attached to your body to keep you alive.
“Oh, love,” Lando hummed, rushing to sit down beside you, placing his hand delicately over yours. You were cold, fragile, nothing like the warmth he usually received from you. “I’m here now,” Lando told you, brushing the pad of his thumb over the back of your hand. “She’s going to be alright, isn’t she?”
“She’s stable,” the doctor informed him, standing in the doorway to your room. “The injuries are quite severe; we’re going to have to be closely monitoring your partner for a little while longer before we can make any decisions.”
“Is there going to be any lasting damage? Permanently?”
“Most of her injuries will heal with time,” the doctor tried his best to assure Lando, offering him a weak smile. “It sounds like the driver lost control of their car when they hit your partner’s, she overturned into the road,” he added, watching Lando flinch as he pictured the scene of the crash.
All he could see was your car, with you terrified inside of it. Lando hated thinking about how you felt, how scared you must have been when that impact came, all alone in your car. He could imagine you calling out for him to help you, only he was nowhere to be found.
His free hand continued to wipe under his eyes as Lando continued to study you. He’d lost count of how many marks he found, bruises, scrapes, cuts, not to mention the dry blood that was in your hairline. He wished he could do something, anything, to take the pain away.
The doctor left the room, leaving Lando all by himself with you, giving him the time that he needed. His mind was racing with his own thoughts as his eyes stayed staring down at you, struggling to believe how his life had managed to turn upside down in only a blink of an eye.
“I’m not leaving your side,” Lando whispered as he squeezed your hand, “I promise that you’re going to be alright.”
The lack of response from you sent a shiver down Lando’s spine. Usually you’d laugh, or smile, give him some sort of reaction, but instead Lando was left with nothing from you.
“I hate that you went through this all alone,” Lando added, moving one of his hands to brush over the top of your head through your hair. “I love you, however long you need to I’m going to be there for you. I know I joke about telling you to shut up all the time, but now I really could do with hearing your voice sweetheart.”
The only sound in the room was the beep of the machines, letting Lando know that you were still there. It was a steady beat, which the doctor assured him was a good sign, but the only sign that Lando would take was the one when your eyes opened up.
The hours he spent at the hospital soon became days, turning into a couple of weeks. Lando could hardly remember what the outside looked like as he spent every possible second with you, making sure that you knew that he was right there with you.
When they could, his family and friends would stay with him for a while, even some of the other drivers had stopped by too. Mostly they were there to check on Lando, knowing that he’d no doubt neglect himself as he tried to focus all his energy on you instead.
“There you are,” one of the nurses smiled as Lando walked through the hospital doors again, rushing down the corridor to get to him. “We were wondering if we were going to see you again.”
Lando looked suspiciously across at her, following behind as she walked down to where your room was. “Has something happened?”
“Don’t worry,” she smiled, saying nothing more as they got to the door to your room. “I’ll come and see how she’s getting on in a bit.”
Lando nodded as he opened up the door, placing his phone into his pocket that he held. The regular beeping greeted him, although as Lando’s eyes looked up, his heart stopped as he saw a familiar pair of eyes staring back across at him.
Lando rushed in, taking his usual seat beside you.
“You’re awake,” he whispered, leaning across and pressing a kiss to your forehead. “Are you alright? Do you need anything?” Lando fretted, eyes studying you closely.
Your head faintly shook, the amount of pain you were in evident from the expression that was on your face. “I’m fine,” you whispered, your voice barely audible.
A sigh came from Lando as he heard just how weak you were for the very first time. “You’ve got no idea how scared I was, I thought I was going to lose you, like the end of the world or something.”
There was a look of disbelief on Lando’s face as he held onto your hand, struggling to believe that you were there with him. It would still be a long recovery for you, but it was the start that he had been hoping for.
“You’ve got no idea how many people have stopped by to visit you,” Lando told you, “I always knew that everyone adored you, but I had no idea just how much, they’re all going to be so happy to hear you’re awake.”
Your smile slowly turned up as Lando spoke, your mind was foggy as you tried to figure how much you had missed, still so uncertain as to what had happened.
“You’re going to be alright,” Lando smiled, squeezing against your hand once again. “I’m going to be with you every single second, I promise.”
“W-what happened?” You stuttered, voice faltering as you looked to Lando to try and make sense of everything and fit the missing jigsaw pieces together.
Lando frowned, “your car was overturned, some guy lost control and went crashing into you, but you don’t need to worry about that, everything is getting sorted.”
Your head nodded as Lando pressed a kiss to your cheek. “I love you,” you whispered as his ear brushed your lips.
“I love you too, I’m so glad that you’re okay.”

No More Makeup : ̗̀➛ George Russell
summary: as he watches you doing your makeup once again, george decides it's time for you to see how much you don't need it
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You dropped down onto the stool in front of your dresser, straightening your hands through your hair. You reached across and opened the drawer where your makeup was kept, rummaging through the mess and pulling out the items that you needed.
“What are you up to?” George asked as he walked through into the bedroom, standing behind you and placing his hands gently down on your shoulders. “I’ve never seen so much makeup in your life.”
“It’s all needed,” you responded, tilting your head back to look up at him. “I need plenty of it to try and at least look human.”
George’s eyes widened as you spoke, shaking his head in response. “You must be kidding, you look incredible as you are now, without all of this. This must take an age to do this every day.”
“It doesn’t take too long, I’ve got quite the routine,” you smiled.
“I just don’t get it,” he hummed.
You picked up your eyelash curler, holding it tightly in your hand, turning to face your mirror and curling your left lashes. “What don’t you get about it, George?”
His eyes studied you closely as you then moved to curl your other set of lashes, fascinated as to how such a simple thing could make such a difference. “I don’t get why you feel the need to wear all of this. I look at you and think you’re stunning, but you don’t seem to agree.”
You placed the curler down, picking out your favourite eyeshadow palette, opening the lid up. “George, I love you, but I’m definitely not stunning without any makeup on. I’ve got plenty of marks and blemishes that need covering up, I swear sometimes I still have the face of a teenager.”
George frowned, placing his fingertips underneath your chin and tipping your head back again, stopping you from carrying on with your routine. “You’re beautiful because of who you are, they say it’s what’s on the inside that counts rather than what’s on the outside anyway.”
“I know, George,” you whispered, “I guess wearing makeup is just like a safety blanket, it makes me feel a lot more confident in myself.”
“Then I’m going to help you feel confident without it,” George grinned, reaching around either side of you to take out the drawer of makeup. A squeal came from you as you spun around on the stool, your hands reached out to try and grab George but he slipped out of your hold.
You tried to pick up what fell out of the drawer, knowing you could try and do something with what was left. As you did, George ran out of the room with the drawer, returning a few moments later with a confident smile etched upon his face and his hands free.
Your head shook as George closed the distance between the two of you, kissing against the top of your head. “Did you really have to do that? Where did you even put it?”
“That’s for me to know, and you not to find out,” he sung, wrapping his arms around your waist as you stood up. His eyes looked down at you in awe, studying you closely, admiring how you looked without any makeup on. George knew you were mad, but if hiding your makeup was what he needed to do to show you how beautiful you were, then he would absolutely do it.
Your eyes narrowed in George’s direction as he spun you around, dancing around the room with you in his hold. As mad as you wanted to be, you knew that George’s intentions were sweet, even if he had an annoying way of trying to prove his point.
“I’ll get you back for this,” you warned, hitting against his chest. “I need to start getting ready, with my makeup.”
“You already are ready for the day, you look incredible as you are, without needing any of that rubbish,” George smiled, pecking the tip of your nose with a soft kiss. “I don’t want you to feel like you keep having to cover up when you’re so naturally beautiful.”
“You’re a smooth talker this morning,” you teased, turning yourself around to try and walk out of the room. “I will find where you’ve put my makeup you know; you’re rubbish at this game.”
George’s head shook proudly back across at you, pulling you against his chest to stop you from getting any further away. “I’m not playing any games; I’m trying to make you see how beautiful you are.”
Your body relaxed, shoulders dropping as you let go of a sigh. “If I promise not to wear makeup today, will you give it back?” You asked George, smiling sweetly up at him to try and convince him to give you back what you wanted.”
“You promise?” He asked, eyes suspiciously looking across at you.
“George, I do listen to what you have to say.”
“So, you see how beautiful you are?” He quizzed, moving his hands from your waist to brush through your hair. Your head slowly nodded, although you were still far from convinced. Although if anyone was going to convince you, it was definitely going to be George.
“You really mean it when you say these things, don’t you?” You smiled, allowing George to carry you across, perching down on the edge of your bed with you.
George nodded straight away, resting the side of his head against your own. “As far as I’m concerned, you are by far the most beautiful person on the planet. I hate the way you always feel to cover up, I want you to embrace you like I do and admire how beautiful you are with nothing else.”
Your hand pressed against George’s cheek, smiling appreciatively across at him. “I’ll remind you of this next time I come with you to a shoot for Mercedes and you ask them to powder your nose a little more.”
“I do not!” George called out, staring across at you in disbelief. “And anyway, that’s only because they have the worst lighting ever at all of those shoots.”
Your head shook as George tried to defend himself, although you’d seen one too many times how keen he was for a little extra help when it came to looking his best on all of his shoots. He loved the attention he got from the makeup artists as they made sure to remove all of the shine from his face.
“Thank you,” you whispered, pressing a kiss against his lips. “I may not always believe you, but I love having you by my side as my biggest cheerleader, always finding a way to make me feel better about myself.”
George leaned forwards, searching for another kiss from you. “That’s because you’re perfect to me.”
“You really know all the right things to say, don’t you?”
“That’s why you love me,” George giggled, “although everything that I’m saying is true, I’d love to know how I ever got so lucky to find you?”
“Stop,” you chuckled, throwing your head back. “I’m going to need my makeup soon to cover my blushed cheeks.”
George’s head shook, “don’t cover it up, I want to see just how happy I make you.”
“You make me the happiest person in the world.”

Victim Of A Bad Day : ̗̀➛ Oscar Piastri
summary: after what can only be described as a nightmare of a day, oscar ends up coming home only to take it all out on you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your smile was soft as Oscar walked through the apartment, putting your phone down and rising to your feet. You went over to him, holding your arms out, but Oscar’s head shook back at you.
“Please, no,” he told you, walking straight past you through the living room and into the kitchen.
You turned around as you watched Oscar walk away, debating what to do next. You slowly followed behind as you watched him grab a glass from out of the cupboard and fill it with water. Every movement was done with a sigh, thudding around the place like a toddler running around.
“I’m guessing your day could’ve been better?” You asked, trying to bring a smile to his face.
You stood and waited for Oscar to acknowledge you, but instead he carried on walking around. His head was down as he moved, his eyes not even looking across in your direction, as if you weren’t there.
“Oscar, you know I’m here for you,” you told him, beginning to get concerned with his behaviour. It was unlike Oscar to be so quiet, to close off from you and deal with everything all by himself.
A shrug came from Oscar as he walked out of the kitchen and into the living room, throwing himself down on the sofa. He grabbed his phone, kicking his feet up onto the coffee table, almost groaning when he noticed that you had followed right behind him.
“So, we’ll just spend our evening in silence, shall we?” You asked, perching on the end of the sofa.
“Suits me,” Oscar bluntly responded, still staring down at his phone, ignoring the sigh that came from across the room from you.
Your head shook in disbelief at how cold Oscar was, never had you seen this side of him before. “I don’t know what’s happened today Oscar, but you could try and at least treat me with even the smallest bit of dignity tonight.”
“Just leave me alone,” Oscar requested, throwing his arms up into the air. “Just because I’ve not come home and thrown my arms around you and talked your ear off doesn’t mean I need constant questions. Just take the hint and give me a bit of space.”
Your body tensed up at how loud Oscar’s voice was, not quite sure how to react. “You’re not you Oscar, what would you like me to do? Pretend that everything is fine? I didn’t realise that caring about you was such a crime, next time I won’t bother worrying about you.”
“I don’t need caring for, I haven’t asked you too,” Oscar replied.
Your eyes widened in surprise at what Oscar had to say, stunned by how blunt he was. Perhaps you had been a little overbearing, but all you were guilty of was worrying about him.
“That’s fine then,” you told Oscar, picking up your phone and sitting opposite him. You sat back, stretching out across the sofa, deciding to switch off to the fact that Oscar was even in the room.
His eyes watched you though, shaking his head as you mimicked him. “I don’t ever remember asking for someone to worry about me, you know I’ve survived long enough all by myself.”
Your heart ached as Oscar spoke, the hurt clear on your face as your eyes flickered across to Oscar. As he met your eyes, Oscar’s frustration disappeared, replaced by concern that he was the reason for your disappointment.
“I don’t even know what to say,” you shrugged, shaking your head disapprovingly, full of despair. Rising to your feet, Oscar kept an eye on you as you left the room and went into your bedroom.
Time apart was exactly what the two of you needed as you let the events sink in. You were both full of anger and upset, unable to believe that the two of you could ever have such an argument. It was unlike any other disagreement that you’d had with Oscar, leaving you rather shellshocked as you laid down on your bed.
You found yourself staring up at the ceiling as you replayed the argument again and again in your head. A shiver ran down your spine each time you heard Oscar’s voice in your head, the resentment and annoyance so clear, somehow you being the reason for it too.
After a while, you could hear Oscar moving through the apartment, knowing exactly where he was heading. You picked up your phone to make yourself look busy as the bedroom door opened, with Oscar quietly walking in, sitting on the end of the bed.
You didn’t respond as Oscar turned to face you, laying himself down beside you. His hand rested against your stomach as he tried to get your attention, knowing that he had plenty of making up to do.
“I’m sorry,” Oscar murmured, “the way I behaved then was completely unreasonable and out of order.”
You placed your phone down, brows knitting together as you glanced across at Oscar. His heart sunk as he saw how upset you still were, guilt eating away at him knowing it was all his fault.
“I don’t want to hear it.”
“Please,” Oscar sighed, expecting you to dismiss him. “I shouldn’t have said what I said, I know that you care so much, and that’s one of my favourite things about you. Having you take care of me is the best feeling in the world, I don’t know what I’d do without you around to support me.”
As your body turned slightly to face Oscar, you could see a faint smile on his face. Knowing that you were at least listening to him was a start for Oscar, hardly expecting you to fall into his arms and forgive him as quick as a flash, but at least it was a sign.
“I don’t care how bad your day is Oscar; I don’t expect to be spoken to like that. I was only caring, and maybe I was a little too much, but if you’d have just told me that you needed space then I would’ve known what you needed from me, rather than just being shouted at.”
“I was stupid,” Oscar told you, “there’s no explanation for it, bad day or not.”
You could see the effects of the day in Oscar’s eyes, there was barely any colour there, letting you know just how bad of a day he must’ve had.
“Everyone has good days and bad days,” you whispered, “including me, but yours are not my fault. I don’t want you to shut me out Oscar, I want to be able to help you, even if there’s very little I can do, at least it’s something.”
His head nodded, pressing a kiss against the top of your shoulder. You were spot on, you were the last person to blame for how Oscar’s day went, you just so happened to be in the wrong place in the wrong time.
“I’m always here for you,” you reminded Oscar, “it doesn’t matter what’s happened, you know I’m always going to be with you, right?”
He continued nodding as you spoke. “I’m sorry I made you feel like I don’t appreciate you being with me today, because I do appreciate it, more than anything.”
“Will you remind yourself of that next time you come home after a bad day?”
“I promise that I’ll never forget it.”

Jealous And Pregnant : ̗̀➛ Lance Stroll
summary: with your hormones through the roof, all the little things send your jealousy skyrocketing
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your heart sunk as you watched Lance be fussed over by the makeup artist, her hands repeatedly brushing through his hair. The smile that was on Lance’s face had you feeling uncomfortable, almost as if you were the one intruding on the two of them.
There were people everywhere as they prepared for the launch of the new car, with you blending into the crowd, Lance had no idea that your eyes were on him, concentrating on getting himself ready.
The look on your face though caught Chloe’s eye as she walked through, taking a seat beside you as you placed your hands against your bump, trying your best to stay as comfortable as you could.
“Just ignore him,” Chloe told you, following your eyes to see where you were looking.
You wanted to, but the sound of Lance’s laughter pulled you straight back in again. Chloe placed a hand on your shoulder, watching Lance too with a shake of her head, surprised by how close the makeup artist was.
“She’s always been a little flirty,” Chloe tried to defend, not wanting you to worry. “She’d flirt with a fish if you put one in front of her, I swear.”
You smiled appreciatively back at Chloe at her attempts to try and make you feel better. “I thought he’d do a bit of a better job of telling her to stop, he almost looks like he’s enjoying it with her.”
Chloe didn’t quite know what to say as she saw the smile on her brother’s face, part of her wanted to march over and drag him away, but she knew she couldn’t leave your side too with you heavily pregnant.
“He adores you, he’s probably just being nice,” Chloe whispered, nudging against your side. “Don’t overthink this too much, it’s not good for you right now getting stressed.”
You wanted to relax, to enjoy watching Lance get ready, with all the excitement to launch the car for the new season, but now you were on the edge of your seat, terrified about what could happen over in the makeup chair.
“Lance is too nice to tell anyone to get lost, sometimes I wish he’d grow a backbone.”
Chloe couldn’t help but chuckle as you spoke, “I bet if I went over and told him that you were upset right now, he’d be absolutely mortified, he’s just oblivious to people and their feelings sometimes.”
“Maybe I should just go, before I end up hurting myself.”
You stood up from where you were sat, walking out of the room to the front reception of the centre. It was much quieter than the bustle of the makeup room, giving you a chance to sit back and relax and try to forget about the lingering thoughts of what was going on with Lance at the back of your mind.
Once he was finished with hair and makeup, Lance stood up from the chair, his eyes immediately searching for you. When he found Chloe, he walked straight over to her, noticing the disapproving look that she wore as soon as she saw him coming over to her.
“You’re an idiot,” she scolded, hitting against his arm. “You could’ve made it a little less obvious that you were getting your hair done by that stupid stylist.”
“Where is she?” Lance frowned, letting go of a sigh. “I wasn’t enjoying it, but it’s just got to be done. I should probably go and find her and fix things, right?”
“She’s pregnant Lance, she can’t help how she feels.”
Lance rushed out of the room and around the centre in search of you. He flew through every room, eyes darting around for you. As he got to the front of the building, he finally found you sat in one of the office chairs, staring out of the window.
He slowed down as he approached you, grabbing a chair and pulling it over to sit beside you. You didn’t react when you felt Lance’s presence beside you, continuing to look out of the window, pretending that he wasn’t there.
“Honey,” Lance whispered, placing his hand against your shoulder to get your attention.
Lance could tell from the look on your face that you were upset, your body was tense, your brows slightly furrowed, breathing much heavier than it usually was.
“I’m sorry if what happened back there upset you,” Lance added, “I didn’t think anything of it, but I can imagine how it probably looked from the outside. She’s got a bit of a thing for my hair, she keeps fluffing it, I actually find it quite annoying.”
Your eyes slowly turned to look in Lance’s direction, “are you just saying that?”
Lance’s head shook as he offered you a reassuring smile. “Honestly, I can’t really stand her, but she’s got a job to do. I don’t know what else you think happens between the two of us, but I promise that that’s it.”
“I probably look stupid, don’t I?” You sighed, resting your hand against your bump once again. “These stupid hormones leave me never quite sure how I should be feeling these days.”
Lance nodded understandingly; he’d been on the receiving end of enough of your mood swings to know that you were struggling. One moment you were smiling, the next crying, never quite knowing how to feel.
His hand moved up to rest over yours against your bump, brushing the pad of his thumb against the back of your hand. Admittedly, Lance knew that he wasn’t the smartest when it came to seeing other people’s intentions, never meaning to upset you like he did sometimes.
“There’s no need to be jealous of her,” Lance told you, leaning across to kiss your cheek. “You know that you’re the only person for me, there’s never been anyone else.”
Your head nodded as you tried to stay composed, feeling your eyes begin to well up. Your hand quickly reached up to your eyes, wiping underneath them, which Lance quickly caught onto.
His expression softened as he watched you, pulling you closer into him. As a tear rolled down your cheek, Lance quickly caught it with the back of his hand, wiping it away.
“Please don’t cry,” he softly smiled.
“I don’t mean to.”
“I know, hormones,” Lance chuckled, knowing exactly what you were like. “All you need to know is that I adore you, and that there’s no reason to be jealous. If you want, I can see if I can get someone else to do my hair and makeup for the shoots from now on.”
Your head shook as you leaned against Lance’s shoulder. “It’s ridiculous that I’m even getting jealous about something like this, you’re at work, and I know that you’ll always be professional. I can’t wait to have this baby so I can just feel normal again, without constantly feeling like I’m some sort of whirlwind.”
“It’s alright,” Lance reminded you, “you don’t need to justify anything or explain yourself; I know how you’re feeling, even though it might not seem so.”
Your eyes flickered up to Lance, “would it be easier if I just went? You’ve got enough on your plate today without having to worry about me.”
“No, I want you here,” Lance assured you, “you’re a part of the team here and I want you to see the car, you’ve heard me talk about it enough times.”
“I don’t want to be in the way Lance.”
He tightened his grip around you, “you’re not in the way, I want you here more than I want anyone else here. I’ll make sure you and Chloe are sat together; she’ll be able to look out for you.”
“And I promise not to get jealous,” you teased, “although from now on, the only person who gets to touch your hair, is me.”
“My hair is all yours my love.”

Wedding Nerves : ̗̀➛ Lando Norris
summary: it's the night before your wedding and lando can't bare to spend it all alone
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your head shook as another knock at the door came, knowing exactly who was on the other side. You tried your best to ignore it as you unpacked your suitcase, but they were ever so persistent, knocking once again.
“Lando, you shouldn’t be here,” you called out, walking over to the door. “You can stand there all night long but I’m not opening the door. The boys will all be wondering where you are.”
“I don’t care abou them,” Lando replied, leaning against the other side of the door. “I just want to see you one last time before tomorrow, just a couple of minutes, that’s all that I’m asking for.”
Your eyes closed as you leant on the door, hearing Lando sigh. His voice was desperate as he tapped on the door once again, letting you know that he was still there. You could only smile at how determined Lando was, refusing to go without seeing you.
“You’ll get to see me forever after tomorrow,” you tried to assure him, “it’s only one night away from each other, we’ve done it hundreds of times before.”
Lando’s head shook, “this time it’s different, it’s our wedding morning tomorrow.”
“Why are you here Lando?” You groaned, beginning to think that there was more to things than he was letting on. “Something’s not gone wrong, has it?”
His head shook, remembering that you couldn’t see him. “I spoke to George and he said Carmen told him that you were feeling nervous. I wanted to come and see you and make sure that you were alright, I don’t want you to be nervous, you should be excited.”
“I am excited,” you responded, dropping down to the floor, “tomorrow is just such a big deal, and there’s so many people going to be there. I hate having all that attention on me, that’s all.”
Lando remained where he was, only wanting to see you more now that he knew how you felt, keen to settle your nerves and reassure you not to worry.
“Let me see you and just give you a hug,” Lando requested, tapping the door once again. “We’re fine to see each other, tradition is only tomorrow morning, not that either of us really care about that anyway.”
The sound of the lock turning made Lando jump up, watching as you opened the door slightly. It was wide enough for Lando to see you, but not open enough for him to be able to reach in and hold onto you.
“Lando, I promise you that I’m absolutely fine. Go and enjoy your evening.”
“I can’t see well enough to be sure,” he grinned, refusing to give up quite that easily, trying to push the door to fit his hand through it. “What’s the point of just letting me see a bit of you, why not just open the door all the way?”
“Because once you’re here I know you won’t go away,” you chuckled.
Lando’s eyes widened at your assumption, shaking his head in reply to you. The smile on his face told you otherwise though, you knew exactly what he was up to, and once he was in, there was no way that he was going to be walking back out again.
You tried your best to keep the door shut, but Lando was far stronger than you were, digging his heels into the ground and pushing the door open, stumbling over his feet and falling straight into your hotel room.
“Serves you right,” you grinned, offering your hand to help him up.
Lando stood himself up and straightened his clothes before heading in your direction. His arms wrapped around your frame as he tightly held you against his chest, pressing several kisses against the top of your head, refusing to let go now that he had a hold of you.
Lando kicked the door to your hotel room shut, keeping you in his hold as he walked you both over to your bed, dropping down in the middle of it with you by his side, making himself comfortable like he was there for the night.
After a few moments, Lando’s hand trailed along your back. “There’s no need to worry about tomorrow you know, it’s going to be perfect, I’m sure of it.”
With all the efforts you and Lando had put in, you knew there was no reason to worry, there was no chance of anything going wrong. You had the perfect place, perfect theme, and everyone who you wanted to attend was doing so, there was nothing more you could ask for.
“Maybe if you are nervous, it might be a good idea for me to stay here,” Lando added, catching your eyes roll. “I mean we both know how much it helps when you sleep next to me when you’re worrying, so it makes perfect sense, right?”
“I’m not going to let you stay,” you said, quickly shutting Lando down.
Lando hummed in reply to you, “we both know how this is going to work, I’m going to wear you down until you say yes, you know that, don’t you?”
“Nope,” you laughed, “I refuse to cave tonight, you’ll be gone soon.”
“You’ll have to get rid of me,” Lando told you, “and judging by your hand against my chest, I’d say that you’re pretty happy for me to stay a while still yet.”
You quickly moved your hand off of Lando’s chest, shuffling across the bed to create some distance between you both. Lando looked at you in surprise, trying to move back towards you again, only for you to move back too.
“It’s going to be a pretty rubbish stag do if you’re not there,” you reminded him, standing up from the bed. “Plus, you only said that you wanted a couple of minutes of my time.”
“I don’t need a stupid stag do, not when I could spend my night with you instead,” Lando sighed, sitting up in the middle of the bed. “Do you really actually want me to go?”
You tried to ignore the little voice in your head telling Lando to stay, nodding your head. You didn’t want him to miss out on his stag do, the party that he had been looking forward to for so long.
“I should probably go,” Lando pouted, sliding off of the bed. His shoulders hung low, his feet dragging along the floor dejectedly. “But all you have to do is give me a call and I’ll forget all about the boys tonight and rush straight over here to be with you instead.”
“Go on,” you grinned, opening up the door. “I’ll be alright without you for one night.”
Lando stood in the doorway, turning back to face you one final time, letting you see just how disappointed he was that you were making him leave.
“In five years, I think this is the first time you’ve declined to spend the night with me,” Lando mused, “and the night before my wedding too.”
“I’m not declining to spend the night with you,” you protested, “this is what we agreed on, you’re going to be stuck with me for the rest of your life after tomorrow anyway.”
“I can’t believe it,” Lando smiled, “the rest of our lives together.”
“Only if you go,” you teased, pushing Lando out of the door. “Go and enjoy your evening, I’ll see you tomorrow Lando.”
“I can’t wait to marry you sweetheart.”
“I know, me too Lan.”

Paddock Naps : ̗̀➛ Charles LeClerc
summary: when you and charles fall asleep in the paddock, team ferrari are on hand to tease you both about it
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The weekend was weighing down on Charles as he tucked himself up into your side at the back of the garage, feeling his eyes immediately shut. Your arm wrapped around Charles as he made himself comfortable, resting your head on top of his as you soon found yourself drifting off into a dream as well.
You weren’t quite sure how long you slept for, unaware of the members of the team who kept walking past you, smiling down at how adorable the two of you looked curled up together.
Several of them made sure to take pictures too, knowing they could get Charles with it later.
As Carlos arrived where you were with Fred, they both decided to take a seat, glancing across at you both. “Do you think if we had the team meeting here, he’d wake up and realise?” Fred asked him.
“He looks like he’s in a happy dream,” Carlos commented, as he noticed the faint smile on Charles’ face. “He’s as useful asleep as he is awake in a team meeting though.”
Carlos leant forwards as he pulled his phone out from his back pocket, leaning closer towards you both. As he went to open his camera, the phone slipped out of his hands and went crashing to the ground, the sound making you flinch as your eyes opened.
“Sorry, sorry,” Carlos hurriedly said, reaching down to pick up his phone.
“It’s fine,” you whispered, rubbing the sleep from out of your eyes. “I didn’t realise that I drifted off, I was just going to sit here whilst Charles had a rest.”
To your side Charles was still fast asleep, unaware of anything that was going on around him. As your eyes glanced down you had to bite down on your bottom lip to hold back your laughter as you noticed his lips slightly parted from where he was heavy breathing.
Your hand reached across and brushed his hair back out of his face, your touch nice and gentle to make sure that you didn’t disturb him.
“Has he missed much?” You asked Carlos, stretching your legs out as you tried to wake them up again. “He said something about a meeting but I don’t know when it was.”
“Don’t worry, you’ve not missed anything. We can just let the precious baby sleep for a little while longer.”
Your head shook as Carlos sent you a grin, unable to stop himself from teasing him. As you spoke, Charles began to stir, but his eyes remained shut, blocking out the noise from around the garage.
“Don’t let him hear you say that,” you warned, knowing exactly what Charles would do if he knew what the two of you said about him when he wasn’t listening.
A groan came from beside you, “what am I not supposed to hear someone say?”
Slowly, Charles began to sit himself up, stretching his arms up into the air. His smile faded as he noticed and Carlos both looking at them, heads shaking at the sigh that he let go of before dropping back down into your side again.
“Morning princess,” Carlos joked, feeling Charles’ eyes narrow in on him. “Nothing like a nap at work to get you through the day, right?”
Charles’ eyes flickered around, a gulp running down his throat as he realised where the three of you were sat, hidden away at the back of the garage with the rest of the team working around you.
“Of all the places to sleep, a noisy car garage is where you choose,” Carlos added, smirking at Charles as he buried his head into your neck, hiding away from it all.
Charles stirred once again as he sat himself up, smiling across at you. As a couple of engineers passed by, they smiled across at Charles, his smile in reply innocent and unaware of the photos that had been taken of him.
“I hope you know what you’ve just put your poor girlfriend to having to have your weight resting on her for the past hour,” Carlos warned him, pointing across in your direction.
Charles muttered an apology across at you, but you shook him off, assuring him that you didn’t mind. Knowing that he was resting was the most important thing for you at least.
“At least you’re awake for your meeting,” you smiled across at him.
Charles threw his head back, “I was hoping I might’ve slept through and missed that thing.”
“Fred isn’t that nice,” you joked, nudging Charles’ side. “Plus, meetings are quite important for the races, remember?”
Charles’ eyes rolled as you stood up from where you were sat, extending your hand out for Charles to take so that he could stand up and get moving too.
“Do you think many people saw us?” Charles whispered into your ear as Carlos went ahead of you.
Judging by the looks on the teams’ faces you already knew the answer, slowly nodding your head in response to Charles as another groan escaped him.
“I think you might want to show your face in as few places around the garage as possible this weekend,” you told him, “but if this was Carlos, you’d be the exact same, you two are as bad as each other sometimes.”
Charles went to reply but another yawn came from him, still exhausted and wishing that he could just go back and rest at the hotel with you.
“You’re not much good driving your car if you keep yawning.”
“I’m just knackered, I don’t know what to do.”
Your hand rested against Charles’ shoulder, understanding just how tired he was. It had been a long couple of weeks of racing nonstop leaving Charles on the go wondering when he might finally be able to get some rest.
The only bonus of it all was that you were there travelling with him, offering your services as his personal pillow whenever he needed it, giving him some time to forget about the stress of the race for a little while.
“We’ll be able to head home soon,” you reminded him, straightening out Charles’ top for him. “Two more days of racing and then we’ll be free.”
Charles’ smile slowly turned up, “I can’t wait to sleep in our own bed again and just cuddle, forget about work for a little while.”
The comfort of being able to go home soon was the only thing keeping Charles going, he wasn’t quite sure how he ever used to get through triple headers without you if he was honest, relying on you to keep him motivated and as well rested as you could.
“Don’t go sleeping during your meeting,” you joked as you stopped outside of the team room door. You stretched up onto your tiptoes and placed a kiss on Charles’ cheek, feeling him pull you back towards him though as you tried to pull back away.
Your head shook as the door opened to reveal Fred, hand on his waist as he waited for Charles to enter. You already knew he was late as he sleepily made his way up to the room, with the rest of the team glancing across at him expectantly through the doorway.
His sad eyes looked across at you, “wait for me until I’m done,” Charles asked you, “I might need another nap after listening to these guys bang on for an hour.”
“I’ll be right here, promise.”

Forgotten Thing : ̗̀➛ Max Verstappen
summary: you know just how busy max is, and you understood too, only now you're starting to feel like the forgotten thing in his life
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The sound of light snores greeted you as you walked into the apartment, unable to stop your eyes from rolling. Your heart raced as you slipped your shoes off, dropping your bag to the ground with a loud thud, not caring about the figure asleep in your living room.
“Max,” you called out, standing to the side of the sofa with your arms folded across your chest.
The sound of your voice had him stirring, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. A smile was on his face for a moment until Max noticed how nice you looked, eyes going wide in horror when he remembered that he had promised to pick you up from work.
“That was a lovely walk home,” you sarcastically told him, taking a seat on the end of the sofa, “at least you got some rest though, that’s what matters, right?”
The frustration was clear in your voice as you found yourself let down by Max again. It was becoming a pretty normal feeling for you, to be given empty promises and assured of things that you knew that Max wouldn’t be able to follow through.
“Don’t be mad, please,” Max asked of you, sitting himself up. “I only planned on closing my eyes for a few minutes, and then I just lost track of time. I mean, all you had to do was walk home from work, it’s hardly the most difficult job in the world.
Your head shook at how dismissive Max was. “The walk home didn’t bother me Max, it’s the fact that you promised you’d be there. You keep promising and not delivering, it’s like I’m some forgotten, unimportant part of your life.”
Max brushed his hands over his face as he tried to wake himself up, not quite understanding what you were so fed up about. “I’ve been so busy at work recently I obviously just needed the sleep. We can’t all have a job like yours, some of us are working nonstop.”
“I see, because my job is a walk in the park, isn’t it?” You scoffed.
You couldn’t quite believe what you were hearing from Max, he’d always seemed to be supportive, but now you weren’t so sure. It was like the two of you were in competition, with Max clearly feeling like he was winning.
“It’s not the same, how hard I work and how hard you work is very different. I’ve got a flight to catch early tomorrow morning and you’ve got the next two days off, so I’d say I’m slightly more important,” Max argued.
Your mouth went wide in shock, letting go of a gasp. You didn’t recognise the man in front of you, the man who usually was so caring and sympathetic had turned into someone who couldn’t care less about you.
“I’ve always looked after you Max, done absolutely anything for you. It’s a shame you can’t do the same for me. I might as well just leave, that’s how you make me feel,” you spoke.
Max’s eyes widened once again, his body tensing up. You stood up, feeling Max's eyes watching your every move, slowly backing towards the front door.
“You wouldn’t actually leave,” Max sniggered.
“Why not? What is there to make me stay anymore?” You challenged, your voice getting louder. “Why shouldn’t I go somewhere where I actually feel valued and appreciated rather as if I’m nothing.”
“Love,” Max whispered, brushing a hand through his hair. “I’m sorry that I’ve made you feel that way, it’s just been so hard for the past couple of weeks. I really did intend on picking you up, I set an alarm and everything, but I must’ve just slept right through it.”
“If you were tired or stressed Max, you should’ve told me, I’d never have expected you to pick me up if I knew,” you sighed, walking back into the room again.
“But you’re right, I do keep making promises that I can’t keep, so I wanted to pick you up to prove to you that I care.” Max tapped the space beside him on the sofa, inviting you to sit beside him as his hand rested against your leg.
“I know that you care about me,” you assured him.
Max’s head shook, “but I’ve not shown you that, when you’re constantly here caring for me, I just take it for granted, we’re supposed to care for each other.”
You smiled weakly across at Max, knowing better than anyone just how hard he worked. For all his faults, you could never fault how loved he made you feel, even if his mind was elsewhere sometimes. Your hand reached out and pressed against the side of his face, lips pressing against his cheek, unaware of the way Max’s heart raced with relief at the feeling of your lips on him.
“If you’re free this weekend, do you fancy coming to the race?” Max asked you, “I’ll make sure that we can spend some time together when I’m not needed at the garage. We can explore, have a proper look around.”
Your head nodded at his suggestion, excited by the thought of being at a race again. It had been a while, you were never quite sure if Max wanted you there or not, but now he couldn’t imagine himself going to the race without you.
“You don’t need to do this, I know how hard race weekends are,” you assured him, squeezing against his hand, “I don’t need anything to be made up to me.”
“But you do,” Max defended, knowing just how badly he’d treated you. “I want to make sure you know that I care, I’m going to make sure that we have the best weekend together too.”
Max moved his free arm around your frame as he pulled you into his side, pressing several gentle kisses against the top of your head. The hold he had on you was more loving than anything you’d felt from him in a while, letting you know just how sorry he was.
Once he was done, Max kept his head resting on top of yours. “Whatever you want to do whilst we’re there this weekend, we’ll do. I’ll even drive you around and pick you up from the paddock.”
“Max,” you whispered, but he quickly shushed you, knowing what you were about to say.
“Don’t tell me that you understand that it’s alright, because it’s not,” he laughed, reading your mind perfectly. “I’ve been a terrible boyfriend and that needs to be put right.”
“I do understand, you work so hard.”
“And so do you,” Max responded, “I never should’ve made it sound like your job doesn’t matter, because it does, you’re the hardest working person I know. I’m sorry.”
“Stop apologising,” you grinned, pressing your head further into Max’s side, “I know how sorry you are Max.”
A hum came from him as he leant back on the sofa, cuddling you into his side as he draped his legs over the top of yours.
“Let’s sleep for a bit,” you suggested, placing your hand on his chest, “I know how much better you sleep when you’ve got someone to cuddle.”
Max nodded in agreement with you, “you can’t be telling anyone how much I love being cuddled to sleep, people won’t think I’m cool anymore.”
“Leave me stranded at work again and I might just reveal all your secrets,” you teased.
“You wouldn’t,” Max challenged, watching your head nod out of the corner of his eye.
“You wouldn’t want to find out.”

Paddock Surprises : ̗̀➛ Logan Sargeant
summary: all prepared to race alone, logan is unaware of a surprise waiting for him back in the garage
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The noise grew louder in the garage as Alex and Logan returned after the race, applause coming from all around. In the background of the team, your smile was wide as Logan walked through, unable to hide his happiness after achieving his first points of the season.
Several engineers walked over and patted Logan on the back, congratulating him on his race. Your heart was racing as you watched, full of pride, knowing exactly how hard Logan had worked to get to this point, despite how many people assured you that it would never happen.
The closer that Logan got to you, the more excited you got, feeling nerves course through your body. He placed his helmet down and began to strip down, tying his race suit around his race. Logan grabbed a drink from his bottle before spinning around, walking through the garage.
As he did so, he noticed a few sceptical eyes looking around the place, with everyone exchanging glances. Logan looked between the two of them, his brows furrowing as he tried his best to figure out what was going on, following one of their gazes to figure things out.
The first time Logan looked at you, he didn’t even notice it was you, offering a weak smile. However, as his eyes moved past you, you could see the moment the realisation hit him, his eyes turning back again to realise that it was you sat there, waiting for him with open arms to congratulate him.
Logan dropped everything as he ran through the garage, scooping you up off of the worktop that you were sat on. Your head buried into the crook of Logan’s neck, feeling the vibrations of his laughter against your cheek, knowing just how wide his smile was too.
“When did you get here?” Logan laughed in disbelief, “you’re supposed to be working, not all the way out here.”
“I managed to finish up early,” you explained, pulling back and cupping your hands against his cheek. “I thought I’d come out here and support you, and I’m so glad that I did.”
“I got my first points...can you believe it?”
You leant forwards and pressed a kiss to Logan’s lips, full of adrenaline. You knew how much it meant to Logan, to prove so many people wrong and show them that he could do it, no matter what anyone else thought. It was the race that he had dreamt of for so long, as the pieces finally came together to fit to make the perfect race.
“You’re amazing,” you smiled, brushing Logan’s sweaty locks back and out of his face. “I’m so glad I could be here to see it in person. Those overtakes were amazing, you just had everything nailed today.”
Logan nodded in agreement with you, unable to quite believe what he had just done. “You know, when I crossed the line the first thing, I thought about was you, and how gutted I was that you weren’t here to see it in person. Yet here you were all along, and I had no idea.”
Your plan had worked perfectly, all thanks to Alex and Lily, helping you to arrange everything whilst making sure to keep Logan away from every spot that you hid in the paddock. There were a couple of near misses as you tried to avoid him, but luckily in the end it all worked out.
“I must’ve known something amazing was going to happen today,” you grinned, allowing Logan to place your feet back on the ground. “I’m so proud of you, I always knew that you’d get those points and show everyone just how incredible of a driver you are.”
“Thank you,” Logan whispered, pecking against your lips once again. “I never would have got to this point today if it wasn’t for you and all the support you give me.”
“I didn’t do a thing,” you laughed, “this is all on you and the hard work that you’ve been putting in for so long.”
Logan’s head shook as his arm wrapped around your frame and pulled you into his side. He wished more than anything that you knew just how big of a role you played in his career, the one to encourage him even when no one else did. Even without you there he knew exactly what you’d be saying to him, using it as motivation to get him over the line.
“What are your plans tonight?” You asked Logan, smiling across at some of the engineers who passed you by. “There’s got to be a party, or something. Heading out into the city perhaps?”
Logan’s head shook in reply to your question, “that was going to be my plan, but not anymore. Turns out I’ve got a better offer of being able to spend my evening celebrating with my best friend.”
Logan pulled you in tighter to his frame once again, squeezing onto you as he pressed a kiss to the top of your head. He was still overwhelmed, in a state of shock, not just from the result of the race, but the fact that you were there to celebrate it by his side too.
After sorting himself out, Logan slipped his hand into yours and began to lead you in the direction of his driver’s room. “I was thinking we could head back to the hotel and just hang out. You’ve not got your own room, have you? Because obviously you’re spending the night with me tonight.”
“I only booked for last night, I was kind of hoping that my handsome boyfriend would want to spend the night with me, so that’s a relief.”
Logan chuckled back at you as he opened up the door. “And there I was thinking that I’d have to sleep in that big, cold bed all by myself tonight.”
“Not anymore,” you grinned, throwing yourself down into one of the chairs in the room. “You can’t be in here anyway, haven’t you got media to do? I’m sure they all want to talk to the man of the moment and congratulate you.”
“I’d rather stay here with you,” Logan whispered, taking a seat down beside you. “Do you think they’ll notice if I just don’t show up?”
Your head shook as Logan tried to pull you into another hug again, only for you to squirm away and push yourself away from him, shooting a glare in his direction.
“I’ll be right here waiting for you when you’re done,” you promised, pointing to the door. “Go and speak to them all, it’s about time you got to do interviews for a good reason.”
“Don’t move a muscle,” Logan warned you as he reluctantly stood up, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. “I promise I’m going to be as quick as I can so that we can hurry up and get out of here.”
Your smile turned up as Logan fixed his race suit back up again, grabbing a hat and placing it on top of his head. “Enjoy it,” you told him as Logan opened up the door, “you deserve this more than anyone else I know.”
“Thank you, sweetheart,” Logan grinned, “try not to miss me too much, won’t you!”
“Don’t worry, I’ll miss you terribly.”

First Newborn Moments : ̗̀➛ Charles LeClerc
summary: the first moments for you both after the emotional arrival of your daughter
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
No words could describe how you felt as your eyes glanced down to the little girl in your arms, everything that you had ever wanted. Charles was sat by your side, leaning across with wide eyes, studying the features of your daughter in awe.
“Can you believe it?” You whispered across to Charles, unable to hide the smile on your face. “She’s just so perfect, so small, and beautiful, more than I could’ve ever imagined.”
Charles nodded in agreement with you, brushing his hand over the top of her head. He didn’t know where to look as he took it all in, her brown eyes, the little dimple in her cheek, the way her mouth was slightly parted as she slept, it was all too much like a dream.
“I feel like someone’s going to come in soon and wake me up,” Charles spoke, “tell me this is all some sort of dream, I feel so lucky right now to have all of this.”
“I promise you that it’s all real,” you whispered, resting your head down against Charles’ shoulder.
It was the moment the two of you had talked about for so long during your pregnancy, wondering how it would be and how overwhelmed you’d feel. Neither of you had prepared yourselves for quite how incredible it would feel though to finally have your daughter with you.
“Can we swap for a moment?” Charles asked, desperate to have a hold of your daughter too. You nodded, watching as he nervously stretched his arms out to take her. “What do I do?” He grinned as you placed her down, scared for you to let go and let him hold her alone.
“Just make sure you support her, body and head,” you told him, placing his hands exactly where they needed to be before letting go. “See, you’re a natural.”
As you moved away, Charles’ eyes were still full of worry, slowly bringing her in towards his chest. “She looks so frail and tiny, like she could break at any moment. I can’t believe I’m actually trusted to take care of such a little human being.”
Charles had made no secret of the fact that he was scared, terrified of messing up or doing the wrong thing. You’d spent many late nights wide awake talking about his worries together, with you constantly being on hand to reassure him, reminding Charles that you both would be learning for some time, after all, no parent was perfect.
Your smile was wide as your eyes stayed with Charles, admiring how fondly he looked down at her. “She’s already relaxed in her daddy’s arms; you must be doing something right.”
“Beginner’s luck,” Charles sniggered, momentarily looking up and across at you. “I can’t wait for everyone to get here later, my brothers are going to crazy when they see how beautiful she is, they’re already slightly obsessed.”
“She has no idea how lucky she is, does she?” You chuckled, watching as your daughter’s eyes fluttered shut. “She’s got the most loving family in the world, and yet she’s got absolutely no idea who any of us actually are yet.”
Charles leant across and pressed a kiss against the side of your head. “I’m going to make sure that she grows up knowing exactly how incredible you are and how hard your body just worked to bring her into this world,” he proudly told you.
To say things didn’t quite go as well as you expected was an understatement, labour had been nothing short of a nightmare for you both. It had left Charles terrified, constantly wondering what was going to happen as midwives ran around you until your daughter arrived.
“I wish I could sleep like this,” Charles chuckled, “without a single care in the world.”
“I feel like I could sleep as well as she is right now, I’m absolutely exhausted.”
Charles’ concerned eyes immediately looked across at you, weakly smiling as he met your eyes. He could tell how sore you were, even if you weren’t going to admit it, wanting to savour every moment that you could of having your daughter there with you.
A sigh came from Charles as you let go of a yawn, trying your best to disguise it behind your hand. “Why don’t you rest? I’ll wake you if anything happens,” Charles suggested, nodding in the direction of the pillow behind you. “You need to be looking after yourself right now, you’re just as important as this one is.”
“I’ll get some rest soon, I promise. I mean, we should probably get used to the lack of sleep now, right?”
A quiet chuckle came from Charles, not wanting to disturb your daughter. His worried eyes still watched you, only relaxing when you propped yourself up and rested in the bed again, stretching your legs out to try and wake your body back up again.
“I can’t wait to take this one to the paddock, show her all the cool things that her daddy gets up to.”
Your smile was wide as Charles’ eyes lit up, excited for all the things he had to look forward to with her. “She’s going to be absolutely spoilt by everyone at that paddock, I think you’ll be a forgotten man when we take her, no one will want to pay any attention to you, just to her.”
“I wouldn’t mind,” Charles proudly shrugged. “Just as long as she knows that no matter how much anyone in that paddock tells her they love her, they don’t love her anywhere near as much as we do.”
“Trust me, with the way I know you’re going to spoil her, she’s definitely going to be a daddy’s girl,” you teased, resting your hand against Charles’ shoulder. “I can already tell from the look in your eye that our little girl is going to have you absolutely wrapped around her little finger.”
Charles nodded, there was no doubt about it that your little girl was his new weakness, knowing that he would never be able to say no to her.
He couldn’t believe what he did to get so lucky, not just to have his daughter, but you as well. It was the sort of thing Charles always dreamt about, but knew would probably never come true. Only for him, it did, and it was better than he could have ever imagined.
As your daughter settled, Charles leant over once again and pressed a kiss against your shoulder. “Thank you,” he whispered, taking you by surprise. “Thank you for everything, for loving me, taking care of me, and giving me the greatest gift in the world. Nothing will ever be good enough to show you how appreciative I am that you’ve just made me a dad.”
Your smile was wide as you glanced back across at Charles, “you don’t need to thank me Charles. I should be thanking you for being here, right by my side, and getting me through the last nine months. I love you.”
“I love you too, more than you’ll ever know.”

Not Your Average Caddy : ̗̀➛ Carlos Sainz
summary: rather than caddy around, you decide to show carlos how you really play golf
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I don’t think I’d be half bad at this you know,” you proudly told Carlos, watching as he climbed out from the golf cart, grabbing a club from his golf bag. You followed behind as Carlos went over to the start of the hole, looking out to where the flag was.
Carlos’ eyes looked across at you, struggling to hold back his snigger. You could tell straight away he doubted your golfing abilities, only adding to your determination to prove him wrong.
“If you showed me the ropes, I think I’d be as good as you,” you proudly suggested, smacking his arm when Carlos scoffed.
He took a step closer towards you, offering his golf club out to you. “You really think you’re going to be good at golf.”
“I’ve watched you play it enough times, how difficult can it be?”
Carlos nodded as he placed his hands on your waist, lining you up with where his golf tee was. He made sure you were stood with your feet apart, lining them up with your shoulders. As he did so, Carlos pressed a kiss to your cheek, trying his best to catch you by surprise.
“Amor, here’s your club,” he smiled, passing one of his clubs across to you. Carlos placed both of his hands over yours to show you how to hold onto the club, placing one just above the other. “Now, keep that grip nice and tight otherwise the club will go flying.”
“How mad will you be if I break one of your clubs out if interest?” You couldn’t help but tease.
Carlos’ head shook, “I’ll deprive you of sex for a month.”
Your eyes widened at his threat, suddenly tightening the grip that you had on the club to make sure that you didn’t let it go.
“So, first thing you want to do is swing backwards, get a bit of power behind you,” Carlos instructed, showing you how it was done.
You swung the club backwards, keeping your eye on the golf ball that was lined up on the tee. However, as you followed through and swung forward, the club completely missed the ball, leaving you swinging into thin air.
You knew without even having to look that Carlos was smirking beside you, confident that golf wasn’t quite as easy as you thought.
“I’ve changed my mind,” you huffed, going to walk back over to the golf cart, only for Carlos to take a hold of your hand and pull you back into his side, refusing to let you give up so easily.
“For a first try, that wasn’t actually too bad,” Carlos encouraged, kissing against the side of your face, tickling against your side. You smiled appreciatively across at Carlos as he tried to reassure you, standing you back in position again to have another go.
You lined yourself up once again, holding back onto the club like Carlos instructed. Your nervous eyes looked to him to make sure that you were doing the right thing, relieved when he proudly nodded, letting you know that you were doing a great job.
As you went to swing back, Carlos walked over to you, moulding his body against yours. His hands rested over yours as you swung back yet again, keeping a hold of you as you swung forwards.
“Look at you go,” Carlos cheered as the club hit the ball sweetly, sending it flying up into the air. Your eyes lit up as you watched how far it travelled, barely able to see where it landed as it thudded back down to the ground.
Your body spun around as you came face to face with Carlos, a proud smile etched upon your face. His grin was much wider this time too as he saw how happy you were with your attempt, even if Carlos had helped you with it too.
“I told you that you could do it,” Carlos grinned, taking the club from you as he took his shot, making it look effortless.
Your head shook in disbelief as you watched him make it look so easy. “How do you even manage to hit the ball that far?”
“Sheer strength,” Carlos teased, flexing his bicep as you both got back into the golf cart, driving down the hole to find where your ball landed.
When you found your ball, you grabbed the club once again, remembering what Carlos had taught you to do. You stood lined up with the hole, deciding to take a few practice shots before stepping up to where the ball was. You swung back, only for the club to once again fly straight over the ball and leave you stood cluelessly.
“Try again,” Carlos quickly told you, a wide smile on his face. “Take your time and I know you can do it.”
You ended up with Carlos guiding you again as you hit your ball all the way down to the green. Carlos putted his ball in like it was the easiest job in the world, passing it across to you so that you could have a go too.
“Just think like you’re playing mini golf now,” Carlos instructed, taking a step back to watch you.
Your head nodded, having played mini golf plenty of times before with Carlos, you were sure that you could get it in this time with no problem at all. For one final time you lined yourself up, taking your practice shot first.
Once you were confident, you gently tapped the ball, not wanting to hit it too far this time, watching it roll along the green. You were almost confident for a second, however as the ball got to the hole, you managed to miss it by a matter of millimetres.
You threw your arms up in disbelief as Carlos smiled, struggling to understand how one person could be so unlucky. Your eyes landed on Carlos, looking to him for some sort of answer as to how you ended up missing the hole.
“You tried your best,” Carlos laughed as he closed the distance between the two of you, “but maybe it’s best if you stick to being the golf cart driver from now on, that’s a job that you excel at.”
Your head nodded as Carlos kissed against the top of it, placing his hand against the small of your back. “Maybe playing golf isn’t quite as easy as I thought it was.”
“You did better than I thought you would,” Carlos smiled.
You walked over and tapped your ball into the hole, grabbing it out and passing it to Carlos. He took the club from you as you loaded the golf cart back up to head down to the next hole.
“I think I prefer being a spectator anyway, it’s not fair how one man can look so good hitting a golf ball,” you complimented, resting your hands against Carlos’ shoulders.
“I was thinking that it’s getting a little hot with the sun,” Carlos spoke, reaching down and holding the hem of his shirt. “You wouldn’t mind, would you?” He quizzed, lifting his top up and taking it off over his head.
“Oh no, they’ll be no complaints from me.”

Early Arrivals : ̗̀➛ George Russell
summary: whilst you catch up on the highlights from the race, your very own highlight makes a very special, early appearance
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A cheer escaped as you watched George’s car go over the line with yet another podium in the bag. You’d been on the edge of your seat as you watched the race from home, unable to attend for once due to work, barely able to watch with your hands over your face.
You’d forgotten how much more nerve wracking it was watching the race from home, watching most of it through your fingertips. You’d never been more relieved to see a race come to an end, knowing you had the podium celebrations to look forward to too.
Your smile was wide as George went up onto the podium to receive his P3 trophy, watching as Max claimed the victory. Soon the race was over, and you found yourself laid out on your sofa, scrolling through your phone. As ever, you soon entered a loophole of content from the racing, relying as usual on the fans to capture some of those George moments that you missed.
The minutes turned to hours, and soon enough the sun had gone down and you were still scrolling. Although he was your boyfriend, you were still such a fan of George. You couldn’t get enough of watching content about him, interviews, fan interactions, anything that you could get your hands on.
It had been hours since you last moved, finding yourself laughing and smiling the more you watched. George knew you loved to scroll and find clips of things that you might’ve missed, with many of them reminding you exactly why you were so in love with the man.
“Is this really how you’ve spent your evening?” A voice suddenly asked, leaning into you from behind the sofa.
Your head nodded as you listened to the voice, your eyes soon widening when you realised the voice wasn’t coming from your phone, but from beside you. Your head snapped around, smile turning up as you saw George stood behind you, proudly holding onto the trophy that he had won in the race.
“What are you playing at?” You shrieked, dropping your phone and standing up from the sofa, rushing around and entering into George’s arms.
“I managed to get an earlier flight home,” George grinned, pulling you tightly into his chest. “The team suggested heading out to celebrate, but the only person that I want to celebrate with is you.”
You pulled back from George so that you could get a proper look at his trophy, twirling it around as he passed it across to you. “I’m sorry that I couldn’t be there to celebrate it with you properly over there., I can’t remember the last time you got a podium and I missed it.”
“It’s alright, I know you’re busy, apparently watching an endless number of videos of me,” George assured you, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “I’m home now and back with you, and that’s all that matters to me.”
“I didn’t think I was going to speak to you tonight so I thought I’d watch some videos of you celebrating,” you explained, watching as George’s smile widened. “Not to mention the fact that you did an awesome job today.”
George took a hold of your hand as he led you over to the sofa, dropping down and pulling you into his lap. “I’m so happy to be home,” George whispered, kissing against your cheek. “You’ve got no idea how much I missed you this weekend, it felt so empty there.”
“It’s been weird for me too,” you told him, placing his trophy down on the seat beside you. “There barely showed your radios, and most of the time focused on the front of the race, I barely got to see a thing.”
George smiled back across at you, “I take it you won’t be offering to work on race weekend again then?”
“Absolutely not,” you quickly replied, without any doubt in your mind. “I’m going to make sure that I’m free every weekend so I never have to miss you.”
“Even Lewis said that I didn’t seem right this weekend,” George shamefully admitted, “he said I kept moping around the garage which I just refuse to believe.”
Your hand pressed against George’s cheek, “did you really miss me that much? Couldn’t even survive three days without me there with you?”
“You know any second I’m away from you I miss you,” George proudly confessed.
As sweet as George was, he meant every word too. He was so used to having you there to give him a kiss before he got into the car, or make sure that he had a change of clothes ready for the end of the race, but instead this weekend he had to look after himself, missing all the little things that you did to help him out when you were there.
“This is the perfect celebration for me, in the comfort of my own home, cuddled up to my favourite person in the world,” George whispered, “who even needs a fancy party anyway?”
You couldn’t help but chuckle as George spoke, knowing that he did enjoy the party too. When Toto let him know their plans though, there was only one place that George wanted to be, and when he heard there was an earlier flight available, he jumped at the opportunity to be on it.
“Is there anything else you want to do? Have you eaten today?” You quizzed, “I know what you’re like for remembering to eat on a race day, you’re rubbish at it.”
George nodded in reply, “don’t worry, there were a few members of the team who felt sorry for me that you weren’t there so they stepped in and helped me out.”
“They make it seem like they can’t function without me.”
George shrugged, arguably he couldn’t. He relied on you more than you ever realised, even just having you there was enough. “It sounds silly, but I really did miss you at the race this weekend, I know it was only a couple of days, and we’ve spent much longer apart, but it was such a horrible race being there alone.”
You stretched up and pecked against George’s lips. “I get it, I missed you as well, but you’re home now. And rather than watch videos of you for the rest of the night, I get the actual you instead.”
There was nowhere George would rather be, even if the rest of his team were out celebrating his podium on the streets of Barcelona, he knew he would never have enjoyed it as much as he did being cuddled up to you.
As you snuggled in closer to George, his grip around you tightened, relaxing further into the sofa. George stretched his legs out and tangled them in with your own, tickling gently against your sides as he glanced down at the smile that was on your face.
His heart was full, not only had it been another successful race with the team, but now he was back with his best friend who he knew would be happier for him than anyone else.
“You know, although I was well fed at the garage, I wouldn’t say no to ordering,” George whispered, “I’ve got the taste for pizza.”
“I’d say that’s the least you deserve after the day you’ve had today.”
“I should get on the podium more often in that case.”

Little Boy Growing Up : ̗̀➛ Daniel Ricciardo
summary: you can't contain your emotions as your son attends nursery for the very first time
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As the car came to a stop, a lump ran down your throat as you studied the building that you had toured a couple of weeks ago. Next to you, Daniel was just as nervous, knowing what was about to come, not quite sure he was fully prepared for it.
“Shall we go in?” You smiled, turning back in your seat to look at your son. “This is the place where you’re going to be staying today sweetheart.”
“Let’s go!” Your son cheered, hurrying to get out of the car.
Daniel climbed out and walked around to help him get out, unfastening her seatbelt and lifting him out of her seat. “I can’t believe my baby boy is growing up.”
“Daniel,” you chuckled, climbing out of the car too and giving your son a hug. “He’s only going to nursery, he’s not going to prom or anything just yet.”
Since you agreed to start taking your son to nursery, Daniel had been relatively calm. But now that he was here, he was struggling to contain his emotion and not let it get the better of him.
“Baby,” you whispered, pulling your son closer to you. “Do you think you could go and give daddy a really big squeeze, I think he’d love that right now.”
Your son did as you asked, sprinting over to Daniel and leaping into his arms. “Are you excited?” Daniel asked him, forcing a smile onto his face. “What am I going to do without you by my side today?”
“You’ll have fun too,” your son assured him.
Your eyes were drawn to the tight hold that Daniel had on him, refusing to let him go. “Come on, we can’t stand out in the car park all day,” you tried to tell them both.
Daniel reluctantly let your son go as you took his hand, Daniel deciding it was best for him to wait in the car. A member of nursery staff was immediately at the door with a warm smile, especially as she saw how excited your son was.
“Hi sweet boy,” she chimed, kneeling down so that she was at his height. “It’s lovely to have you here with us.”
Your mouth opened to say goodbye, but your son was already off and beginning to explore the place. You handed his bag over, standing in astonishment at how easily he took to nursery, quickly finding the toys that he liked and talking to the other children who were with them playing.
“It’s nice not to deal with tears for once,” the staff member joked. “I’ll make sure to keep an extra close eye on him today and see how he settles in. If we have any problems, I’ll make sure to give you a call.”
You waved goodbye before heading back across to the car. As you opened the door, Daniel quickly wiped underneath both of his eyes before smiling across at you.
“Everything good?” You asked, watching Daniel closely. His head nodded, but the look on his face told you a completely different story.
You stayed still for a moment before reaching across and taking a hold of Daniel’s hand, silently reminding him that you were right there with him.
“I didn’t think I’d find this so hard,” he admitted in a whisper, “especially as he’s found it all so easy.”
“It’s nice to know he’s excited,” you responded.
Daniel hummed in agreement, “I’m glad that he was looking forward to this, I guess I just wasn’t looking forward to losing him.”
“You’ve not lost him Daniel, you’ll see him in seven hours.”
The two of them had always been undeniably close, when Daniel was home every second was spent with your son, hanging out, doing whatever they wanted to do, making as many memories together as possible.
Daniel had worked hard on preparing your son for nursery, prepping him with skills, conversation starters and teaching him about sharing too. Daniel wanted his son to be liked, he knew that he would be popular, he was a mini Daniel after all.
Your hand squeezed against Daniel’s tightly, “I bet he would want for us to enjoy ourselves whilst he’s at nursery you know Daniel.”
Daniel’s eyes widened, “I can’t believe I have to spend my day with you now, can’t I go and get him back and hang out with him instead?”
“Excuse me, we’ll have a great time together.”
Daniel’s eyes rolled as you hit against his arm, encouraging him to put his foot down and get driving. You knew that he was only messing with you, but at the same time, you knew no one could fill the void that your son left in his life when he wasn’t around.
“He’s going to learn a lot being at nursery, he’ll grow as a person,” you told Daniel.
“There’s plenty that I could teach him though,” he argued.
Your head shook as Daniel continued to protest. Although he had taught your son plenty, there were some things in life that a parent couldn’t teach their child.
“He’s going to be around kids his own age, not around stinky drivers who are sweaty and gross,” you teased, “and it means we get more time together too.”
Daniel’s eyes narrowed back across at you, “there’s nothing wrong with hanging out with racing drivers, we actually happen to be pretty cool guys.”
“I know, I was stupid enough to marry one of them.”
As the two of you pulled out from the nursery, you could see Daniel arguing with himself. There was a small part of him that wanted to run in and take your son, but he knew that he couldn’t, eventually listening to you and driving away, as much as it killed him.
Despite his protests, Daniel knew that nursery was going to be good for your son, it was a chance for him to see more, do more, meet new people, everything that Daniel had ever wanted for him.
After a few minutes he began to relax again, leaning back in his chair as he focused on the road, trying to forget about the fact that he had lost his little man for a few hours.
“What are we going to do now that it’s just the two of us?” You asked him.
Daniel’s eyes flickered across to you, “well, seeing as I’ve essentially just lost a child, there’s a bit of a void in my life now that needs to be filled.”
“You’ve not lost your child, he’s just growing up, that’s what we all do Daniel.”
His shoulders shrugged, but still his eyes looked suggestively across at you. Now that your son was growing up, the two of you had more time on your hands again, and Daniel definitely wasn’t happy just settling on having one child.
“We’ve been blessed with one incredible child; would it be so bad if we thought about another one?” Daniel quizzed, offering you a wide smile. “Doesn’t now seem like the perfect time to start thinking about these things, like you said, we’re not getting any younger.”
“How long have you been planning this?” You chuckled, shaking your head across at him. “We’ve just said goodbye to one child for the day and now you’re planning the next one.”
Daniel’s shoulders shrugged, an innocent expression etched upon his face. “I’m not necessarily thinking about having a child straight away, but it’s important that we get lots of practice in for it beforehand.”
“Is that really where your mind is at? You’re impossible sometimes Daniel Ricciardo.”
“Hey, look at you! Can you blame me?”
