Announcement for Fates Network

Hello again, everyone, and sorry for the long absence of the network blog. With that said, however, the moderators are here to deliver one announcement for the network: 

Effective Sunday, October 30th at 12PM EDT (GMT-04:00), the Fatesnet Skype group will close. At that time, all members will be expelled from the group chat by a moderator. Further explanation will follow below, for those who would like to read. 

We have allotted for a little over a week’s grace from this announcement to allow members of the Skype group time to contact each other and send contact requests or form smaller group chats. There is nothing stopping members from forming said smaller chats, but please keep in mind that these chats will not be part of the net itself. This means that the moderators cannot pass judgement on anything that goes on within them, save for if a member is a victim or perpetrator of harassment, should it be reported. 

The Skype group is being shut down due to a small number of reasons. First of all, it is largely inactive, and has been for a good number of months (nearly half a year). Secondly, we have been contacted by concerned members in regards to 1) a desire to leave the chat that conflicts with a fear of doing so in the view of other members, and 2) discomfort with the behavior of some of the members of the chat. 

Finally, the status of the group: 

Fatesnet itself has not been shut down; however, it is now officially inactive. 

The blog will stay up, and the ask and submit boxes will remain open for those who wish to contact the moderators.

are we going to be doing anything soon? like, another group chat? i havent seen anything like that on my dash in months, is all! im worried youve been doing chats etc and ive been missing them.

The lack of activity was due to finals and school, but fatesnet will be back on track shortly!

While we don’t have any public events going on, we do have a Skype group chat. Come off anon, tell us who you are in the net, and give us your Skype username and we can add you in ASAP!

The mods are planning an event soon so look out for the announcement post!

Since school is over and the summer is upon us, fun times will resume, no worries~

i hope this is alright to ask, what happened to our mods, takumi and leon?

After some observation during the first few days, we decided it would be in everyone's best interest that Mod Takumi and Mod Leon create and become moderators for our sister network, FireEmblemFatesNetwork, for members who are 18+ and aren't as comfortable with minors.

There were no issues with individual members or ill feelings that led to the split, rest assured!

If you are interested in applying to that net, please read all rules and regulations before sending an ask to the blog itself.

It’s definitely possible! Applications are set to open sometime in the near future, though no definite date or time has been set yet.

Hi, sorry if this was explained somewhere and I missed it, but why are some characters who aren't on the Members list unavailable on the members form?

Some spots have been vacated by members who left the network, and, our of respect to them, the spots have not yet been reopened. However, they will open in the near future (as will applications).

Announcement regarding asks

With the White Day Event and other things now completely over with, the net moderators are about to answer a queue of asks whose answers were being postponed until now. We apologize to everyone who has had to wait and hope to reply to everyone as quickly as possible.
