You Barely Know Me
Tumblr media
"Just get out of here then!" I ran to my room and grabbed my duffel bag, throwing clothes inside. "I don't wanna look at you!" I zipped it up and grabbed my backpack. "Pathetic, useless, worthless...." I moved past her and out the door. I couldn't breathe. I could barely see past the tears spilling over. I didn't know where I was going, my feet just moved. Fez looked up when he saw me coming. "Cora? Hey, What the fuck happened to your face?" I couldn't answer. I couldn't do anything but stand there. "Ma's you gotta breathe." I felt my chest tightening over and over. "Cora, baby." He pulled me into his chest. "You're good. I gotchu." He mumbled, tightening his arms around me.
"Why are you always the one taking care of me?" I mumbled into his chest. "Someone's gotta." I realized my hands had gripped onto his shirt and let go of him. "M Sorry." I went to back away, but he still had his arms around me. "Who did that to your face?" He pulled away just enough to look at the bruise starting to form on my jaw. "Uh...I think mom said his name was Devin?" He frowned, "She let him hurt you?" I put my head back on his chest. "this happen alot?" I didn't answer. "Cora," I pulled away from him. "Cora I'm serious." I rubbed my face, "She kicked me out." I mumbled, wrapping my arms around myself. "You can stay with me. Ion want you getting hurt again." I shook my head, "I can't stay with you fez. You barely know me." He rolled his eyes at me throwing his hands up. "Are you fucking serious right now?" I turned back to look at him. "I know you Cora." He spoke softer, "You aint goin back there." I sat down on the plastic chair that sat against the building. "Talk to me ma." I pressed my face into my hands, groaning when I forgot about the bruising. "I'm beginning to understand Rue's situation." He rolled his eyes at me, "C'mon" He grabbed my hand, "What are you doing?" He pulled me up out of the chair. "We are going home." I shook my head, "No Fez-" He grabbed my bags off the ground where I had dropped them. "You twist your fingers when you're nervous." He mumbled opening the car door. "You try to hide your face with your hair when you blush." He closed the car door after I had gotten in, going over and getting in the drivers side. "You hate crowded places, but you like the idea of being included." I frowned, looking over at him as he drove. "You touch your face when you're stressed." He kept his eyes on the road as he listed things about the girl sitting next to him. "You don't smile." I opened my mouth to protest but he cut me off. "You give those fake polite smiles to make people happy." I closed my mouth, sitting back in the seat. "When you really smile though...that shits contagious." He glanced over at me, "You are like one of the strongest people I know." He put the car in park and turned to face me. "You're like one of them goddess girls you see in the movies."
He carried my bags into the house. It was late so I figured Ashtray was asleep in his room. "I can sleep on the couch." He started, but I shook my head. "You're taking the bed," He ignored me going in his room to drop my bags on the floor. "Fez-" "Cora." He turned and looked at me. "Thank You." I mumbled, looking down at my hands. I heard him sigh and walk over, pulling me into his arms. "I gotchu." His hand rubbed up my back, causing me to tense. "Cora-" "It's fine Fez." I went to pull away from him but he caught my shirt in his hand. He glanced at my face before lifting the shirt just enough to see the scattered bruising along her side. "Fez," I mumbled, pulling away and fixing my shirt back. "Did he do that too?" I faced away from him, my arms crossed in front of me as I bit my lip, trying to keep the tears from spilling over. He moved behind me his hands on her hips. "I'm not gonna hurt you." He mumbled, spinning me around to face him. Fez looked at the broken girl in front of him and part of him wanted to go to her house and beat the shit out of her moms boyfriend. The other part of him knew that he needed to stay here and help her and that was his priority right now. He let her put her head on his chest and let her tears slip out. He felt her grasp his shirt in her hands like she had done on other occasions. He felt her start to stumble as her legs shook and picked her up, carrying her over to the bed and setting her down. He went to grab the blanket, but her hands still had a hold of his shirt. "Hey," he spoke softly. "I'm not goin nowhere." She reluctantly let go of him, her eyes fluttering shut as he slid onto the bed next to her and pulled the blanket over the two.

Pairing: Lip Gallagher x Fem OC
I heard the front door open, "You cooking?" I nodded, putting the pan in the oven and starting the timer. "Listen, I kinda need to talk to you about something…" He rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "Should I be as nervous as you look right now?" He shook his head, "No no…I just.." I looked up as a young girl walked in. "Who's this?" She asked, looking at me. "I'm Ellie." I gave her a smile. "This is my girlfriend. El, this is Xan." He put  a hand on her shoulder, "Could you give us a minute to talk? Go watch tv or something ok?" She nodded and walked into the other room. "So this talk?" He rubbed his face,
"Listen, her mom ditched and her aunt was watching her and she disappeared and now she has nowhere to go and I-I should have called or something before we got here but-" "Hey, hey," I put my hands on his shoulders to get him to stop rambling. "I'm fine with her staying here." He put his hands on my waist, "You're not mad?" I shook my head, "We can get a twin mattress from your place. I have some extra blankets and pillows in the closet." He smiled, "You're the best." He pressed his lips to mine. "By the way. My place is here, with you. I'm gonna call Fi and see if she'll bring us the mattress." I smiled,  as he pressed another kiss to my lips before pulling out his phone to call Fiona. I started washing the dishes while the food cooked. “He’s obsessed with you y’know?” I turned around to see the girl leaning against the wall. “That’s basically all him and Brad talked about whenever I would sit at the shop.” I smiled, “Really?” She nodded, “Well, and Brad’s girlfriend.” I tossed the towel on the counter and turned towards her. “What about you? What do you like to talk about?” She raised her eyebrows, “C’mon if you’re staying here, you gotta give me something.”
“Hey, sorry it took so long. Debbie needed help with something and -” I shook my head, “It’s fine.” I pushed my laptop off my lap and got up. “Where’s Xan?” “She’s asleep. I moved some stuff so she has an actual room look.” He followed me to where the little study was in the apartment. I had moved the desk into the living room and my art stuff was packed away in the closet. I put a railing up between two bookshelves to make a makeshift closet. Her mattress was now on top of some wood pallets. “We went this morning and found the wood pallets and painted them. It’s not much but she seemed to enjoy it.” He smiled, “Where’d all your stuff go?” I shrugged, “It’s in the closet.” He frowned, “Your art stuff?” I nodded, "I packed it up. I can still get to it pretty easy if I want to.” I closed the door to the room so we wouldn’t wake her up. “Her backpacks on the counter, homework and everything is done and inside.” I grabbed a water bottle from the fridge and looked back to see him staring at me. “What?” He shook his head, “Marry me.”  I coughed, covering my mouth. “What?” He nodded, “You once told me that I needed to find what makes me happy and will make me happy for a long time and I’ve found it.” He stepped forward and put his hands on my hips. “You are the only thing in my life that has always been constant. You’ve always been there and you always make everything better.” I looked up at him, jaw dropped. “I love you and I wanna love you for the rest of my life.” I blinked, resting my hands on his upper arms. “I know it’s crazy and I know there’s a lot in your head right now but if you could say something so that I can breathe properly again that’d be great.” I half laughed and bit my lip. “Lip…” He chuckled, “Maybe a little more than that?” I moved a hand up to his face, pulling him closer so I could press my lips against his. “I love you. I do.” I took a breath. “But you don’t want to marry me…” He let go and turned away. “Lip-“ “No, I get it. It’s crazy. Sorry I just-“ “Phillip Gallagher.” He turned back around. “I want nothing more, than to spend the rest of my life with you. Believe me, but you’re not thinking straight.” He ran his hands through his hair. “I’m not saying I don’t want to spend my life with you because I do. I’m just saying that maybe give us a bit more time to pull ourselves together so that when we do get married it’ll be great, because I am telling you right now,” I grabbed his hand, “you’re stuck with me already.” He laughed, “I think I can live with that.”

Not My Friend?
Tumblr media
Pairings: Lip Gallagher x Fem OC
“Alright can I get you guys anything else?” I stood straight and checked on my last table of the night. “Come sit with us.” The man wrapped his arm around my waist. “Sorry guys. Turns out if they pay me I actually have to work here.” I smiled, placing a hand on his shoulder, “Anyway, here’s the check. No rush take your time and if there’s anything else I can get you-on the menu-just let me know.” I slipped out of the mans grasp and made my way back to the counter. “Have fun over there?” Lip asked, sitting at the counter. I rolled my eyes and continued wrapping the silverware. “Should I leave then? Give you some space maybe?” I looked up at him, “Really?” I saw the table get up and gave them a smile as the left. Going behind them to lock the door and turning around to see Lip still making his face. “You’re being serious right now?” I realized he wasn’t joking. “I’m nice to the customers. The customers give me tips.” I held up the 3 separate $50 bills. “Im nice with the men in nice suites and they give me big tips.” I walked over, him avoiding looking at me. “Now, If this extremely jealous friend that I have decides to intervene, I can’t stay at his place because I didn’t get any tips to add to my part.” He smirked, “You know Fi would never kick you out.” I shrugged, grabbing a towel to clean the last table up before punching out. “So I’m the jealous friend?” I waited for him to walk out so I could lock the door behind us. “Wow, SAT’s don’t lie. You actually are smart.”
He rolled his eyes as we started walking. “You know, what if I don’t want to be?” I looked over at him, “What?” We were at the Gallagher house by now and I had no idea what he was talking about. “What if I don’t wanna be the jealous friend?” I turned to face him, “You...don’t want to be friends with me?” He shook his head, “No! Fuck, That’s not what I’m saying.” He ran his hand through his hair, pacing. “I don’t think I’m following?” He groaned, a smirk on his face. “I-I can find somewhere else to stay if-“ “No,Fuck El I’m not saying I don’t want to be friends. I’m saying...” He sighed, “Fuck.” He reached a hand around the back of my neck and pressed his lips against mine before I had a second to register anything. My eyes widened and before I could process I found myself kissing back. We separated, his forehead pressed against mine, hand still on the back of my neck. I could still feel his breath on my face as he watched me, searching for any reaction. "Now would be a good time to say something," I opened my mouth to respond, but no sound fell out. "Ellie..." He let his hands drop to his side. "Fuck." He stepped back from me and turned walking up the sidewalk and into the house, leaving me standing outside. "Fuck," I made my way into the house. "Hey, whats up with Lip?" Ian looked back at me from the couch. I ignored him and jogged up the stairs and to the boys shared room. "Lip," I opened the door but found the room empty. I sighed, going to the open window and pulling myself out and onto the roof where I found the oldest Gallagher brother. He lit the cigarette between his lips as I sat down next to him. "You should be more careful with your wrist." He muttered, looking down. "Lip I didn't mean to-" "It's fine. I basically jumped you." I shook my head, "No, no I was just surprised." He stood up, flicking the rest of his cigarette off the roof and made his way back into the window. I huffed and followed him, not as use to climbing in and out of the window as him because after getting one foot on the floor I smashed my head against the top of the frame. "Jesus," Lip moved my hand off my head. "I said to be careful." He checked my head, "It wasn't my wrist at least." He rolled his eyes, the slightest grin forming on his face. "I'm sorry." I shook my head as he stepped away. "You've been going through all this shit and I just sprang that on you." He moved to close the window, "Lip," "El Can we just forge-" I grabbed his face as he turned around, connecting our lips. He tensed for a minute, oh how the tables turned, before he relaxed and moved to pull me closer to him. His lips moved against mine in sync, one of his hands splayed against my lower back as the other one slid up and to the back of my neck. My hands slipping down to his shoulders as he pressed his forehead against mine. "So we're not going to forget it then?" I rolled my eyes as his lips turned up.
“You forgot the decimal.” I pointed to the dot making Debbie groan and erase her work, starting over. “Debs, do you have my black hoodie?” Fiona came down the stairs. “It’s on the top of the dryer.” She smiled, going over to pull it over her head. “You know everyone here can do their own laundry.” I shrugged, “I needed my uniform cleaned and it made more sense to wash all of them instead of just my shirt.” Debbie handed me her paper and I scanned it over. “You’ve been here a week and I feel like I should be paying you for helping so much.” I smiled, handing it back to Debs  so she could put it up. “I don’t mind, doing my part. I just don’t want to overstep or overstay.” I took a sip of my water bottle as Fiona shook her head. “How many times does it take for you to know that’s not gonna happen.” I hear behind me as Lip comes down the stairs. He has his shirt halfway on and he tugs it the rest of the way down as he walks over grabbing the water bottle and downing the rest of it. “Sure, help yourself.” He grins, tossing it in the trash before leaning over the counter and pulling my face to his, pressing his lips against mine. “I can run by and get the money order for the electric before school if you need Fi.” She leans against the counter, watching us. “Uh, yeah that’d be good.” She reached up for the can and pulled money out. “Here’s for the electric and here’s the water” Lip raised his eyebrows, “Paying on time this month?” She nodded, “looks like it.” She smiled at me, knowing from past experiences that I slipped money in when nobody was in the kitchen. Lip gave me a look but didn’t say anything as he put the money in his pocket and grabbed his jacket. “Coming?” He looked at me, “Yeah, just let me grab my bag.” He smiled, “I got it. In the bedroom right?” I nodded and he went back upstairs. “So.” Fiona looked at me, “When did that happen?” She raised her eyebrows. I rolled my eyes as Lip came back down the stairs. His backpack over one shoulder and my shoulder bag on his other. “Ready?” I got up and reached for my bag but he shook his head. “I can carry my bag Lip.” I pulled it off his shoulder and put it on. “Isn’t that what boyfriends do though?” I raised an eyebrow at him as we headed down the street. “Is that what you are now?” He lit a cigarette and took a puff. “Shit sorry. I didn’t mean we had to-I just...” I looked at the ground as we walked. “Hey,” He grabbed my hand. “I don’t want to uh...you know push you into anything if you’re not ready.”  He gave my hand a squeeze. “I know I can kinda be a fuck up at times but I really wanna do this right.” He tossed the cigarette on the ground. I smiled, “I think I'd be open to that.” He grinned, “Yeah?” He threw his arm around my shoulder and pressed a kiss to the top of my head.
