Ask Dugong and Tabitha

A blog about many characters, the main characters being Dugong and Tabitha. They are actually brother and sister but also a prince and a princess. Dugong is also destined to kill the ender dragon, the wither, and Herobrine. Dugong was adopted by a an enderwoman. Tabitha lives in the jungle and owns a strip club. I upload fun facts every once and a while. The blog has some other characters too. Accepting all asks.

Do you have any tips for getting your askblog well known if its a sideblog?

Well, the first tip I usually give is if you're just starting out and are willing to make it a second account instead, then do so. But if your blog is already established it's not always the best option for folks since it takes time to transition everything to the new blog!

If your ask blog is a side blog some of the things you can do to advertise it are:

1) Advertise! Well, obviously! This can be just a post to your personal saying your ask blog is open or it can be reblogging your opening posts to a personal. This is usually best done with art to accompany if you do art for your ask blog. If not, possibly commission an image for advertising purposes! And don't be afraid of posting it more than once. But try not to go over twice a day, that can get tedious for your followers really fast!

2) Submit your blog to blogs like this one that list and advertise ask blogs.

3) Hold a giveaway! Not necessarily the "FOLLOW TO GET STUFF" kind but say, if your blog does art, give away 3-5 sketches periodically. People show up for free food, free art, free coffee but they often stay after they see what you've got to offer story/character-wise.

4) Request reblogs in your advertising! See if you can get friends on board with reblogging. Find people willing to share your work with others.

5) Tag Tag Tag! And Tag well! What do I mean by tag well? Well consider how tagging on tumblr works. Only the first five tags show up in searches usually. So make sure your important tags are there! things like Minecraft, Creeper, etc should be in those first five tags.

6) Above all else though? Present a good character and tell a good story. Ask blogs get more traffic when things are happening on them. And the things can be character backstory, events in the character's lives, the character facing some kind of personal challenge, you name it! So don't give up! Keep posting, reblogging, and sharing your work! And don't be scared to get out there and interact just because you're a side blog! Just make sure to note where your ask blog is so they can find you! <3

Hello dear saplings~ For the month of october I take you back in time to discover the history of the pumpkinhead people! As you are told the story, we shall go on a journey through eight memories, all while letting the new characters answer your questions!

Making up the new cast is Scalvaro, Ardor, and Samoni, the mentors of the main cast, and joining them- Samhein- the king of the Pumpkinheads himself!

Why do pumpkins grow with faces pre-carved?

askdugongandtabitha answered: It is an evolved form of self defense. The face scares away mobs that would eat them, giving them a higher chance of reproduction.

ask-cyrusenderman answered: In my thoughts they were always infected with a fungus that rotted away one of their sides to create the face, then the fungus died off.

I have a question I can't seem to find the answer to anywhere and you guys look like you could help. I've seen other blogs make photosets where one asker will ask a different question on each panel relevant to the story (ex. panel 1- "Hello! How was your day?", panel 2- "Oh, that's too bad. What happened?", panel 3- "You'll find your dog again! Don't worry!"). Do you update the photoset with new panels as you get the asks, or does the asker "predict" the responses and send the asks at one time?

A lot of times it's actually because an ask blog gets a lot of similar questions at the same time. For instance, on my blog askenderblock right now I have a lot of people asking about the egg one of my characters just laid. I could take those questions and answer them in a series of panels to advance the story. Other ask blogs I associate with handle these posts in the same way.

Follow the asian game jumper Rikimaru Tsuki and his pumpkin superhero friend on an adventure through minecraft and other places. Mostly a blog with little to no storyline and sometimes rather random and derped up answers and asks. All art is done through a character generator called create.swf due to laziness.

-Skeleton/ Male/ died as 19 years old/ Used to be an adventurer.

- Carries a pair of boots with blaze rods attached, wasn’t very good as an Archer before he died, does not own a bow or arrows, hasn’t been dead for more than a few months.

askcluecreeper: Malign Souls banished to the Nether after their permanent death eventually take on the bodies of Zombie Pigmen as a sort of punishment?

askthepumpkinheads: Nether was previously just inhabited by regular pigmen, which died, rose as zombies. Overworld just has derpy regular pigs 8 I

asktheminecraftbaker: Because the creepers were considered a ‘failed pig’, the creepers saw the pigman as a threat and the pigmen fled to the nether.
