concept: shiro and keith are parabatai. they live in the institute that allura runs along with her godfather, coran (she took over after alfor perished in a particularly grotesque scuffle with some galra demons). hunk and pidge first stop by the institute to accompany matt who wants to introduce his friend, shiro, and since then the two visit very often to hang out and train. lance is keith’s formerly-nephilim werewolf boyfriend who fights alongside him. as time passes they grow closer and closer and become like a little family, fending off dark creatures and rogue downworlders like a well-oiled machine.

i’m always seeing positivity posts like “it gets better. one day you’ll wake up and roll over and the love of your life will be lying there and..” and i was just thinking that that must be really shitty if you’re aromantic. so here’s a post for my aro friends who are feeling a little down:

your eyes flutter shut as tyler joseph's soft voice lulls you into slumber, the vague and distorted sounds of teenage boys sharing crude jokes and pompous bitches bragging about their latest autumn haul no longer of your concern. free period is one of your favorite times of the school day, since you can just sit in the corner of the school yard where greens grow the lushest and vulgar adolescent banter is not that audible. you usually listen to your 'avoid pretentious idiots' playlist as well. just as you're about to fall asleep, a sudden rustling of leaves startles you, and suddenly, one of your earphones is being ripped away from your ear, cutting off your favorite verse from 'lane boy'. "oi, what do you think you— oh. oh." your cheeks heat up when you notice the pair of familiar light cobalt irises, flecks of green and silver visible near the pupil. luke hemmings shoots you a lopsided smile, before putting in the little white speaker into his own ear. you've never really talked to luke, even though you have been fancying him for a while. it's not a major crush, but his presence is definitely enough to send a rampage of mutant butterflies gnawing at the insides of your tummy. now he's sitting here, in your spot, probably judging your music taste. luke smirks when he notices your slightly confused stare. "you looked a little lonely, so i decided to join you. great taste in music, by the way. i love twenty one pilots." you nod silently, your lips quirking upwards in a shy grin, because luke fucking hemmings says he loves tøp oh sweet jesus and he's staring at me oh my god oh my god why is he so attractive oh my— "did you just call me attractive?" he laughs, leaning into your side the slightest bit, and you bite your tongue lightly to keep in a noise of frustration. you really need to keep your head from floating into the clouds sometimes. "it's okay. i'm flattered." luke says, and he's looking at you with those hypnotic feline-like eyes, and wait, is he leaning in? your breath catches in your throat when luke's supple pink lips are hovering just an inch over your own, and you swear your heart melts when luke asks quietly, "consent?" "yeah. yeah. one hundred percent yes," you murmur with hooded eyes, and not a second later, you feel a sweet warmness that tastes like peppermint on your mouth, and wow luke hemmings is a great kisser. he's so gentle with you, moving his lips against yours slowly and only slightly feverishly, his calloused fingertips painting soft circles onto your hip. he's a tease, as well, only grazing his skilled tongue on your bottom lip every so often. finally, you pull away, because you are humans and oxygen is stupid, but luke has the biggest smile on his face and he's looking at you like you're made of pure silver and you can't help but smile too, because your first kiss was indeed, wonderful.
