This makes me want to consider a position(?) swap, like how they would act in each other’s positions. Taylor is not a militant perfectionist and rule follower like sayeon is, but they do both have a drive for efficiency and results above everything. Sayeon probably wouldn’t get involved in the undersiders, but if she did she would dive in head first just like taylor did and might have even less moral objections to the whole thing. Taylor would take her results oriented mindset and probably excel in the corps, much to the detriment of her mental health (as seen in her wards era). She is just as much of a manipulator as sayeon but much more prone to improvisation, and considering she doesnt really give a shit about social position she would be throwing herself into fights out of a desire to “save people” like she did with lung. The worst part is that the corps would encourage her ruthless behavior because it works, and they dont give a shit if some aberrant loses their eyeballs in the process (seriously taylor two is a pattern what is your beef with eyeballs). Ryujin would instantly spot that she was a freak (affectionate) as well.

i think a big difference between taylor and sayeon is that where taylor might worm her way around certain problems, finding weird and creative solutions to stuff or maybe even start second guessing herself, needing to be SURE that she's making the right decision, sayeon will double down. we love freaks in glasses but taylor thrives in finding cracks where sayeon likes to jump between plans, always having plan B and C on hand. sayeon considers every option, taylor pulls shit out on the fly.

This is super interesting because they both have like a ton of angst in regards to mothers and motherhood. Like we see in steph that she fears being unable to protect her child because her mother failed to protect her from her father. She gives up her child because she wants it to grow up better than she did, and i think that would carry over into her adulthood.

Cass meanwhile has no mother figure in her life to speak of until barbara comes in, and her main interactions with her birth mother is Shiva trying to kill her. Her father was super abusive and stuff, but she at least has bruce and barbara to help her (idk how healthy they are as examples cuz they have their own complexes going on)

Steph x Cass Headcannon - Motherhood

Oddly enough, this is something I’ve never thought about until today for Steph and Cass. Not that I think they would be bad mothers or anything. It’s just something that has never crossed my mind, Headcannon wise.

Which is strange because I’m usually a huge fan of lesbian couples becoming parents. Fate and Nanoha adopting Vivio. Catra and Adora with Finn. Amity and Luz with Ayzee. Even Kim and Shego in a little fanfiction I’ve been penning.

Still I think it would be fun to image what Steph and Cass would be like as parents. Would make for some adorable angst as I explore both thier issues with fathers a little more, maybe creating that perfect family dynamic for them without shall we say any male influence. I’ll have to play around with it some more.
