One of my earlier embroidery animations, this was my second one. I made sure that the designs were very simple, since I wanted this to be fairly long. The tangled thread is just purposefully messed up French knots.

this is a blog to collect and appreciate cat portrayals in art, the artists who are inspired by cats, and, of course, the feline muses themselves.

a curation of visual art, photography, gifs and stills from film and animation, passages from literature, poetry and prose, music, artisan crafts, design, fashion and other pieces of creative expression (except ai work) related to cats, big and small.

all uploads will be credited and linked to the original artist or source. if i can find the original on tumblr, it will be reblogged directly from the artist's blog.

in honor of my own cat zappel ("TSAH-pell") who left this world on the last day of february 2025 after 18 and a half wonderful years. he continues to live in my heart and inspire me every day.
