i hope this isn't a weird question, but i was curious what you meant by the comment about your latest fic 'patrick ball supporting our delusions?' has he spoken more on kingdon? i don't actually put much stock in actors opinions on fandom/shipping, so it doesn't sway me either way if he has. (btw im glad i saw your posts bc it seems i have quite a few kingdon fics to read very soon!)

pball used to refer to the relationship between mel and langdon as “sisterly” and “mentor-mentee” in earlier interviews but has in the last week or two started referring to them as “kindred spirits” multiple times (amongst other things!)

#so like imagine w me for a min ok#it’s about a year ago and you’ve somehow ended up jaded af about fandom and fanfic and everything surrounding that#and you’re in this FUNK and cannot find a way out of it#and then your best friend who does not read rpf is like hey you gotta read this fic#its called epiphanies and its a BANGER ok#and then after you get past the initial shock of That you read like maybe the best fic you’ve read in like years ok#and then through that and just finding new fandom w friends again somehow you grow to rlly love fandom again in a way you had kinda#forgotten was possible ok#and then you’re minding your own business#reading fic about your new comfort medical drama bc it is MILES better than the greys stuff you read as a teenager#and it’s about characters originally written by John wells so like DUH#and then the writer whose stuff pulled you out of that funk a year ago is suddenly there and they’ve written this masterpiece#of a thing for the new ship you can’t stop reading about#like IMAGINE#tags too long now but like this was so wonderful and had such a strong voice and so much color to the whole story#it’s writing like this that reminds me why I’ll never leave this place bc i love fanworks so damn much like I’m so grateful to the ethos of#it all man (via @tirednotflirting)
