Hey everyone!

So with the obvious changes to Tumblr, there are going to be many blogs shut down or cleared out for having or sharing what Tumblr defines as explicit content. Given that I am not sure what will happen to my blog as well as the blogs of those I follow, write with, and am friends with, I am not certain if I should continue any threads until the dust settles or Tumblr is convinced to change its mind with the outcry of the public. That being said, I would love to still write with others! If anyone would like to share contact information, please leave a message privately for me and I will message you when I get out of work today.

The internet could change next week, and not in a good way

You may have heard about the efforts in Europe to reform copyright law. The debate has been ongoing in the European Parliament for months. If approved next week, these new regulations would require us to automatically filter and block content that you upload without meaningful consideration of your right to free expression. 

We respect the copyrights and trademarks of others, and we take all reports seriously to ensure that your creative expression is protected. We make this clear in our Community Guidelines. There’s already a legal framework that works and is fair: Today we take down posts and media that contain allegedly infringing content when we receive a valid DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) takedown request. We also provide clear-cut ways for people to fight back if they believe their removed content was not a true violation. These instances are monitored and reported and live in our biannual transparency report. 

The suggestion to use automated filters for issues of copyright is short-sighted at best and harmful at worst. Automated filters are unable to determine whether a use should be considered “fair use” under the law and are unable to determine whether a use is authorized by a license agreement. They are unable to distinguish legitimate parody, satire, or even your own personal pictures that could be matched with similar photographs that have been protected by someone else. We don’t believe that technology should replace human judgment. Tumblr is and always has been a place for creative expression, and these new regulations would only make it harder for you to express yourself with the freedom and clarity you do so now.

      Soundwave's mirror-like visor blankly stared, the impenetrable ink-black sheen making it as if the abyss was watching back. Why did this Predacon roll its optics at the spymaster? Had one of his precious Minicons caused trouble? If so, it must have been Rumble. Always the troublemaker, that one.

      Despite the multiple thoughts now whirring through his mind, the drone simply continued to stare, nothing but the subtle natural hum of servos between the two. One of them would move eventually. Soundwave was certain of it.

      However for now, he was content with observing the strange behavior patterns of the Predacon.

Hey there. 

      Gosh, sorry for the super long absence. Ended up moving, getting a new job, getting a kitten, getting another new job, getting super sick, and then finally got another new job that allows me to relax much more and use my laptop at work. I am going to be trying to get back into the swing of Tumblr so I look forward to talking with you all and potentially plotting/writing with you all soon. <3

Woo! Okay! I am finally back after the long hiatus that was honestly very unexpected and I am happy to say that with the new job I just got, I’ll have 3 dedicated days off now so I’ll be here regularly once again! <3

That being said, I’m going to start fresh with all of my threads because it’s been so long so I want to also formally apologize for any trouble or inconvenience! ; v ; It wasn’t my intention to leave like that. Hhhhhh...

Wow it’s been ages huh~? xD So a little update below the cut:

      Work has been keeping me pretty much unable to have any time to have a personal life unfortunately. I apologize about that to all of you lovely muns and muses. My boss for the past three months was out on medical leave due to a ganglion cyst in his foot/ankle which left me as the acting store leader during that time. 

      On top of that, I’ve had some medical issues of my own that I unfortunately have to wait on taking care of because work doesn’t actually give out health insurance upon employment and we have to wait for open enrollment. I just hope it’s not in the summer because I would like to take care of these problems sooner rather than later.

      Furthermore, because of how much I make and how often I work, I had to drop school because I legit make $1 USD too much to get financial aid for my classes however I don’t make enough to pay for school on top of financially supporting myself while living on my own. It sucks but in it’s own way, it works out because I was starting to become disinterested in the degree path I chose. xD

      I just want to say that I miss you all and I hope to find some more time to write with all of you soon. ; v ; I hope the update explains the unexpected hiatus and I seriously hope to have more time to spend with all of you in the upcoming months.

I think Soundwave would travel back to the past with all of the recordings he has of the future to prevent everyone from falling for the same vices. He would want to save Megatron specifically from himself as well.
