Hi! I’m Cheels, or UnluckyDoor, as I am on Ao3. My current interest is in Mega Man. I am 21 years old, use she/her, and I like to draw!

In the future, I plan on expanding my Mega Man AU. I’m unsure if I’m continuing to call it the Alien AU or the Moth AU. It originally started as Halloween drawings but expanded. The story is in development, but any asks sent about the story will be answered, which will help it to develop. This will have its own blog in the future.

The day system is a farce!

I’ll put days and say that this is for Halloween but I’ll be honest , this is pure self indulgence and I’m not about to turn self indulgence into work.

Anyway here’s “day” 11. It’s Hornet Man! He’s already an atypical type of guy so making him an alien thing was both simple and hard as you could probably guess from my work in progress post ideas on my other blog, @my-strange-anime-ponderings. I think he looks pretty cute here but maybe I’m just tooting my own horn.

Additional point: hexagons are very hard to draw…

The internet abyss deleted my first attempt at making day 9…

So I also had this drawing sitting around on my iPad during day 10… sorry! Anyway, today, it’s another cool guy.

It’s Freeze Man! What do you mean he looks almost identical to his original design? In truth, Freeze Man is actually almost entirely ice here! See, how he’s translucent? Anyway, Freeze Man’s true form is the core in his midsection. He created his body by freezing the air around him, and does this every day. If Freeze Man wants to look the way he does, we should leave him be. Another in class sketch doodle will be under the cut.

Sorry about the (very) late Day 8 post. Motivation escaped my grasp, reignited, and then fizzled out. This doodle has been sitting on my iPad for a bit…

Ice Man! He’s very fluffy alien monster because I translated the hood of his coat into long fur. As a bonus, the sketches I did in class are under the cut.

Guess who’s getting lazy? Me! I’m getting lazy with my colouring so here’s flat art of Enker as an alien (not so monstrous he’s too cute) for day 7. I based his redesign off a Eurasian harvest mouse, and I was at one point going to make his tail the spear, and at another point, was going to make him hold the spear with his tail (he can still do that since this mouse has a prehensile tail).

Enker’s reclusive attitude fits well with this mouse that lives as a solitary species, not to mention the fact that it can be found in Japan. I’ve decided that the Mega Man Killers need to be fluffy because Mega Man likes animals, and would probably lower his guard against a cuter, fluffier opponent.

I’ve done something unique for day 6, where I’ve drawn all of the Mega Man 6 Robot Masters as alien monster things

Tomahawk Man is a bird thing, Flame Man is a lizard thing, Knight Man is a fish thing, Wind Man is a cloud thing, Yamato Man is a beetle thing, Blizzard Man is a snow monster spider thing, Plant Man is a plant which is probably to be expected (he was hard to alter) and Centaur Man is a centaur (obviously) mixed with a hippocampus. I had fun doodling these guys and if ever requested I might do a proper drawing but for now they’re doodle sketches.

That moment you realised you’re late in posting for day 5 AND the drawing is still WIP… so here’s Punk as an alien thing for day 5, I was inspired by a hedgehog so he looks fluffy.

As you can see I made design changes and reversions based on the line art.
