***** ToG Spoilers *****
I know we mention a lot that the phrase “nameless is my price” is used by a lot of people / things when referring to Aelin, but tell me how I never realised and haven’t seen anyone talk about how in Crown of Midnight when Celaena goes to ask Yellowlegs about the Wyrdkey riddle that even Yellowlegs says nameless is my price, and then tries to kill her.

***** MINOR TOG SPOILERS *****
So part of this ToG series re-read is being able to pick up on things that I never noticed before / didn’t realise the ironicness of a situation or the foreshadowing because I didn’t know the outcome before. When i tell you there is too much foreshadowing to mention everything I mean there is. so. much. foreshadowing. and. hints. EVERYWHERE. and they aren’t even spoiler foreshadowing or hints, they are just small things like subtly hinting at Celaena’s heritage both book 1 & 2 or the foreshadowing of Kaltain’s death a book beforehand, so on, so forth.
One that I’ve just read and hadn’t put together even after the few re-reads i’ve done, is after Nehemia has died and Celaena has been placed in the dungeon. Chaol and Dorian are having a moment on the servants steps when Chaol is telling Dorian about the events leading up to Nehemia’s death, specifically when Chaol doesn’t understand how Celaena could run faster than a horse and before Celaena goes to the warehouse she describes her ‘killing calm’ and that even Arobynn didn’t realise how calm she could get when she went over the edge.
Tumblr media
My theory is that when she slips into the ultra ‘killing calm’ (not just her regular killing calm), she somehow unlocks part of her Fae heritage and while the dampen on magic means she can’t fully shift, somehow a little bit of it seeps out and makes her vision better, her breath more stable, legs faster and stronger - basically everything she would get from the shift but on a smaller but still noticeable scale that allows her to run faster than a horse.
Side note - don’t get me wrong she is still strong, fast and more than capable of killing without it (i mean she’s a highly trained assassin for gods sake) but it’s just enhances her

**Semi spoilers**
I’m re-reading the Throne of Glass series and it’s well known that Sarah J Maas has a lot of foreshadowing even as early as the first book for things that will happen in the last book. However I’m currently on Throne of Glass and just read the first time Celaena is seeing the black clock tower in the castle garden. She’s asking Chaol when it was built and the conversation that followed (see photo for snip of convo).
They literally hint at us that the Kings name is Dorian even if they don’t remember or realise. Just purely by saying “This king?” because if there was no other recent nobility named Dorian, why would that even be a question.
Anyway, just being shocked at the true mastery that is this series.

Chaolaena
So I’m re-reading the Throne of Glass series for the umpteenth time, and I feel like something that we forget as a fandom is how in love Chaol and Celaena were in the second book. Don’t get me wrong Aelin and Rowan - Chaol and Yrene are end game and they are my ship for those characters, there is no one else, but when it was still Celaena not Aelin, her and Chaol were planning their futures together, Chaol on one specific occasion was even planning their wedding, married life and children together. They were so heavily in love and I just feel like we always forget how intense it was. But again while I personally believe that Celaena needed Chaol (it should have been Sam) Aelin and Rowan - Chaol and Yrene are 100% end game

So I’m rewatching Prison Break for the 100th time and I feel like I come to this conclusion every time I watch it. Michael is a genius we all know that, and the other guys have so much faith in him with good reason, but I wouldn’t want to be Michael, only because everyone always expects him to know what to do, if something unexpected happens they expect him to have a new plan in 2 seconds, and when he doesn’t they get angry, and I understand that it’s usually because they are in stressful situations but still no one likes to have that amount of pressure on them. I mean in season 4 Michael had to keep thinking of everything and planning everything even though he had a brain tumour, I get that his mind automatically does some of it but still it takes a lot of brain power to do what he had to do, and with the amount of pressure that was on him to get it done...

THE PEVENSIES
To people who keep arguing that when the Pevensies got back to England they had lost their ability to do the things they learnt in Narnia. Just because you loose the ability to do something doesn’t mean you don’t remember the feeling, the movement. They might not have the muscle memory anymore but they would remember what the clang of swords felt like vibrating through their bones. How swimming in the clear ocean water felt like flying or how their hair always annoyed them when it got just a little too long. Just because you can’t do something anymore or it isn’t there doesn’t mean you don’t remember

Okay I just need to get something off my chest. I love it when people draw characters in books I love the fan art but if you are drawing anyone from the ACOTAR books that have wings just remember these wings are HUGE!!!! They are powerful muscled things, they sprout at their shoulder blade area and are so big that they can drag on the ground!!!!! They aren’t tiny wings!!! Also they need to be able to lift a muscled human body (occasionally two people) off the ground.
Thank you for your attention.

Okay but imagine if Azriels Shadows tell him that one of the girls is on their period and so for the next few days he is extra nice towards them, he gets them their favourite food maybe buys them the dress or paint they’ve been eyeing for a while, he never asks for recognition and always does it discreetly but the girls know it’s him and Cassian, Rhys and Lucien all pitch in in making the girl feel awesome, and if she’s having a rough time or in any pain you better believe those guys are right there for anything she needs.

Okay hear me out, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban right. When they have their first class with Lupin and they are turning the boggart from the thing they fear most into something funny, did anyone else catch the look in Lupins eyes, like he wasn’t watching the line but then he sees Harry is up and in another life Lupin would’ve been family to Harry so you can see the war start in Lupin to protect Harry as he would his own family but he can’t just act like Harry is family because Harry wouldn’t understand and so he is forced to act like his teacher instead of someone who knew and grow up with his father, mother, god-father and would’ve been an uncle to him. And do you ever just cry!!

The Pevensies
But can you imagine for a second if one of the Pevencies, say Lucy married into the British royal family. I understand that everyone but Susan died, but just imagine with me for a second. Lucy marries into the British royal family, and everyone is astounded by how easily she “learns” everything, and how quickly she adapts her speech and mannerisms. They start to joke that she was born to be royalty. Little do they know the reason behind her easy ability to adapt, is because for quite a few years of her life she was a Queen and had to know these things. The royal family actually find that occasionally she’s better at being a royal than they are, and every so often, they’ll find Lucy in a forgotten wing or an empty room in the palace, looking sad, and like she’s searching for something, she never talks about it and she never tells them the thing she’s looking for, hoping for, is to find something, anything that will take her back to that magical land.

The Pensevies
Okay I just had this thought so bear with me... I along with many other are sad that the Pensevies children (except Susan) died at a young age, I mean Peter was 22, Edmund was 19 and Lucy was 17, they had barely lived, but then I remember that they lived for 15 years in Narnia, which means that when they went back to the normal world, Lucy would have been 23, Edmund would have been 25, and Peter would have been 28. So I kind of find it a little comforting think that even if they didn’t get to grow up in the normal world they at least got to grow up in Narnia.

So I don’t know if I’m the only one who noticed this but... in Prince Caspian when the battle moves from the field to the river and you see Edmund, I noticed he has two swords, meaning he’s ambidextrous... I also noticed that they are different from Peters sword. Peters sword is big and broad, used for more force. Whereas Edmunds swords are smaller and pointer, and are therefore more useful for quick and fast movements. Also at the start of the movie Peter isn’t the one to prove they are the Kings and Queens, Edmund is. EDMUND IS THE BETTER SWORDSMAN.
