art of negotiation gang (as someone who can't learn their names but loves them) complete with:

anime white hair lee jehoon: maximum hotness, tragic past, so op in negotiation he basically has jedi powers of manipulation; tragically employed in the sense he's hated by 127 superiors in the company (fun); every day he walks the line between being a delightful cunt and a good man in a world of greed;

eldest daughter: never clocks out, lee jehoon's character stepped foot in korea and was like 'I NEED MY GIRL (business associate)' and he was right; human calculator, the face she pulls when she needs to interact with humans outside of her plan is the highlight of the scene;

the guy that played the obgyn in hospital playlist so i will always like him in any other roles he plays: he's amazing in this one too, was a prosecutor but now lawyers for lee jehoon's character even if they basically attempt the m&a equivalent of a oceans 11 heist every week; should be paid more; genuinely there to make me smile;

trust fund boy: son of the polycule (business associates), at the same time an idiot and deeply smart, the audience surrogate for all the m&a stuff I have never learnt because I'm probably financially illiterate; can't wait for the gang to find out he's rich it'll be hysterical;

I wish more people would watch The art of negotiation, it was successful domestically but barely anyone else watched it.

It's not a romance nor a crime show but it's very well written and well acted. It seems like a dry business drama at first glance but it emphasizes the human element of striking business deals and how a lot of it is a result of petty, selfish and greedy human nature but also how there is a way where people can succeed and still be treated with respect and dignity. It's superbly direct as expected from Ahn Pan Seok and genuinely engaging. It's as much about the big business deals as it is about the small and important moments of our lives, our dreams, our ambitions and what we deem substantial in life. Hopefully we get a 2nd season.

Trying to recommend The Art of Negotiation to someone who hasn’t already been swayed by the most drop dead gorgeous white-haired version of Lee Je-hoon is so embarrassing. “Noo believe me corporate mergers and acquisitions is interesting!! 95% of the characters are old men in power but the main team has one well written female character!” “It’s like a crime series except nobody dies, every two episodes you have a new mystery in how to solve the negotiation and and it’s really good!! Also Lee Jehoon hot!!! Am i right????” Like why is it good it doesn’t make sense
