what did you like the most about london?
The Science Museum, the medicine exihibition especially. And the underground, to be honest 😂 I spent seven months commuting to and from Naples by barely adequate public transport, so the London Tube was a very pleasant experience in comparison.

did london inspire you anything for your fics?
Nothing at all, I was either too tired or too amazed to think about anything other than what was happening in the moment 😅

did you end up liking london? I remember your last asks you were a bit doubtful about the trip
Oh boy, where do I even start.
All in all, 6.5/10. Did I ultimately enjoy myself, more or less? Yes. Would I do it again? Not for a BILLION euros.
I'd actually started typing a rather lengthy reply, but I realized I really don't need to be airing my business on this website (or, well, subjecting you all to me airing out my business on this website), so I'll just say I ate terribly, slept even worse, and did, in fact, spend my whole trip acting as an unpaid Italian-English and English-Italian translator as I'd anticipated, but London's museums are gorgeous and its public transport is unparalled.
If you'd like to know more, anon (= if you'd like to hear me bitching and whining for close to 2k words), you can hit me up in the DMs. I promise I'm going to forget your username in the next 12-24 business hours and your anonymous status will remain untouched.

Feeling nostalgic and troubled so I decided to send and pass this to some blogs, if you keep it on the move, I love you so
Can you tell 5 or 10 things you would have said to a 5 year younger version of you about life? In terms of general advice no buy this specific lottery ticket
I somehow feel some relations have changed and some stuff in my life and would love to hear random advice from random people
Sincerely someone navigating their young adult years xoxo
First of all, sorry for the delay, but lately I've been busy with doing absolutely nothing and I've only now managed to find a moment to answer you.
5 years ago I was about to graduate high school and start university, so the first thing I'd say to myself is: you might think that you've based your decision to study chemistry on a whole lot of nothing, but you're going to realize that it was, in fact, the right thing to do. So, trust your gut, sometimes.
Secondly, I'd advise myself to stop helping and coddling others when they don't deserve it. At this point in your life, you've already started avoiding and/or refusing to do it, but be sure to never falter.
Third: your ability to study patterns and behaviors and predict future events is only going to grow and become better. You should definitely consider changing your name to Cassandra: cursed to speak the truth but never be believed. Your anger over this will never vanish, so maybe try to start weaponizing it and making people listen to you. You're almost always right, and you know it.
On a more practical, less "melodramatic" note, if you will, I'd tell myself to invest in disposable period products already (I did in 2022, but oh, how I wish I did it earlier) and somehow find out about myo-inositol on my own, without needing to wait for my dermatologist to prescribe it for my acne. Oh, and apropos of that, expect to be hit with stress-related acne (or second puberty, maybe?) out of the blue. You've been lucky in your teens, you're not anymore. But at least your period has stopped kicking your ass every 4 weeks.
And lastly: you know yourself better than anyone else. Do the things you like to do, don't do the things you don't like to do. Only engage with the people that resonate with you: you will find them, and in fact, you've found some of them already. "Having to" push your own boundaries and get out of your comfort zone, if not strictly necessary, is bullshit. Ultimately, you're the architect of your own future, and if you stay true to yourself, you're going to live freely and happily.

the let’s know the person game! Copy and send this to some blogs
answer 5 facts about you not many people know, it doesn’t have to be very personal for example “I once puked from eating too much tomatoes” no one will know who you are for sayin that
Thank you for this ask!
1. The most common version of my surname is spelled with a T, but at some point, one of my ancestors thought it was funny to change the T into a D — according to what I've come to understand in my almost 24 years on this Earth, it was done intentionally and was not the result of a spelling error. This is why my family and I are now compelled to specify that our surname is written with a D every single time (and I do mean every. single. time.) we're asked.
2. I cannot donate blood because I'm almost 10 kg below the minimum weight required. This pisses me off so much because, being 0+, I could be useful to so many people.
3. I managed to escape 2 paternal generational curses out of 3: my second toe is not longer than my big toe on either foot and I don't have Gilbert syndrome. However, my right knee is significantly weaker than my left one and I'm sure that something will happen to it in the foreseeable future, as it already did to my paternal grandfather, both my paternal aunts and my dad.
4. Until a couple of years ago, I wouldn't eat ice cream between October and April, as I considered it a late spring/summer food item. I've changed my mind since I started stopping by an ice cream shop near the train station on my way home from uni.
5. I've had my driver's license for almost 5 years and I still can't parallel park. It's not even that I do it badly: I literally can't.

I'm being very gossip ass, but what can I say my dash of Acotar is quite dead now, and I'm loving this convo, what cities you visited from those countres and what you liked the most?
Well, I have nothing important to do now, so I can say I'm loving this conversation as well 🤣
I went to Spain when I was 10 and only visited Barcelona, but I'd love to go back to Barcelona first and then maybe some other big cities like Madrid or Seville.
I touched Croatian soil (Dubrovnik, specifically) for just a few hours because I was on a cruise, but again, I'd love to go back, either to Dubrovnik or other places.
The same cruise brought me to Corfù (meh), Mykonos (beautiful) and Santorini (stunning), and then I went back to Greece on a school trip: our hotel was in Anavyssos, and we departed from there to visit Athens, Delphi, Micene, the theater at Epidaurus and the isthmus of Corinth.

and do you look forward seeing some famous in books, movies and series places in London?
Honestly, no, I'm planning on doing the usual touristy things 🤷‍♀️ (Even though I haven't made an actual plan yet)

and do you want to visit Ireland or Germany after reading Acotar? As it was ispired by places there
I would've rather gone to Ireland than London, especially since we had to get passports to enter England as the UK is now out of the European Union, while our carta d'identità would have been enough for Ireland 🙃 Germany, I'm not sure, but speaking of European countries, I would love to visit Romania!

how long is a master there? Specialized or is a general one?
A master's degree typically takes two years and is more specialized compared to a bachelor's. For instance, for my master's I'm choosing organic chemistry/biochemistry, but you could also choose inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, macromolecular chemistry...

Note
have you thought on doing th masters in the same place? or you want to check in other country? what do people tend to do there, in mine you change
I'm definitely doing my master's here; matter of fact, I'm starting in September. My uni, University of Naples Federico II, while not the best equipped and, shall we say, not the most modern of Italian universities, has been churning out enviable chemists for ages, and I can now confidently say that we study as much as (if not more than) any other Italian chemist-to-be. And also, my friends are all here, and I'll be damned if I let them slip out of my grasp, they're too precious for that.
Foreign countries have no appeal for me, both because the Italian curriculum (while certainly outdated and much too stressful) is way better and more comprehensive than any other and because I despise travel — my family and I are going to London in April for a week and I'm already dreading it, especially since I'm going to spend my whole trip basically working as an unpaid Italian-English and English-Italian translator. So, no master's abroad for me, either.

did you party as much as you expected? did you find as many love tales as in movies? were the classes what you expected from movies? if too personal ofc don't answer
1. I don't party, never have and never will. But if I did, I'd expect parties to be different than those potrayed in your typical American college movie.
2. I only know about one "love story" between one of my (female) classmates and a boy one year younger than us (who also happened to be the son of one of our professors), which ended recently because of irreconcilable differences, I guess; also, as I heard through the grapevine, the boy has come out as gay.
3. Seeing as I've mainly watched American movies and I'm an Italian girl who went to an Italian university, no.

nothing to do with the other anons, but having finished bachelor's what are things you would say to your younger self now? things that surprised you for best or worst
That's such an interesting question, thank you so much!
There haven't been so many surprises in these years at uni, to be honest; what I experienced is what was written on the tin, more or less, on both the theoretical and the practical level. But I would certainly tell my younger self that she would change her mind about studying with other people, because meeting and befriending those few select people, @daliathedragon above all, is what got me through this purgatory and helped me retain my mental health. I even got to graduate the same day as one of them, which was just fantastic.

I saw the answer of daughter-of-lethe, confirmation she is Johanna Mason in the Arena, and Acotar is a Hunger Games Arena
@daughter-of-lethe Come take your compliments 🤣❤️

and sorry that what you said neither of you or your co-writer have met a cool user here, Acotar might be hard but I think is also a bit more welcoming, is like a Hunger Games Arena, hard but with some allies here and there
Oh, but those two people I mentioned in a previous response are from the ACoTaR fandom; there are a few even in the TSC/TLH fandom as well, even though they mostly interact (used to, at least) with @zoyalannister ☺️
