i enjoy watching the show but not completely. like at times I can't be completely immersed in the drama and keep getting pulled back. idk why and what's missing.

oh the wedding attire is damn gorgeous

interesting wedding rites! never seen a full table before in cdramas wedding rites. i think in the book they don't have this table set up.

oh oh the lord did not do his part during the rites! does that mean their marriage is not valid? clocking this for possible future catalyst to conflict!

oh it's a wedding but everyone is as grave as in a funeral. if i was xiao qiao, i would have stayed in my room till the end of my days but then there will be no cdrama of it lol

was watching chicago med to feel something and it made me realize

the lack (or the absence) of background music in The Pitt is totally the best thing ever.

I was watching the chicago med bcs internet keeps saying it's one of the most accurate medical drama out there. The depiction of medical procedures seemed believable enough for me, yet it did not feel grounded enough. i didn't feel the gravity of the medical problems and when they were solving it, it did not feel gripping (?) enough somehow.

In my frustration, i went back to rewatch the pitt (it's probably already the 60th time i'm doing this) and i realized the jarring absence of background music.

the music in chicago med told me what to feel (like laughter sfx in comedy shows) while the silence (and occasional beeps/sfx) in the pitt incited these feelings and emotions.
