The game is a muddled as real life religion and politics. People do great and terrible things in the name of any religion. If fans weren't so hell-bent on being pro or anti, we could see that both statements about the church of seiros are true. That's why there are several characters willing to die for Rhea, and at the same time a whole nation willing to start a war and sacrifice soldiers to capture her.

People and institutions can do good and bad things at the same time. The real fault is on fans and fandom being naive and believing any person or institution is all good or all bad, seeing morally grey areas or shifting perspectives in a videogame and relegating it to "bad writing." That simply isn't how it works 99% of the time.

Y'all too busy treating the different routes like sports teams or Hogwarts houses, being diehard defendants that you missed the message of the game as a whole.

I swear, Three Houses can’t seem to decide whether the Church is responsible for everything awful in Fodlan or not.

Half the time it’s like “The Church propagates the Crest system, and forbids all this stuff, and supports the nobility unconditionally, and rules with an iron fist”

And every other time it’s like “Yeah, we don’t actually have that much presence in all of the regions and we accept others for there differences and we disagree with a lot of the shit nobles do but we can’t really stop the way things are right now so we just do what we can and roll with the punches”

The game is as muddled as the community is.

Y'all saying I don't have to play the paid options: it's an advertised romance game. All romance options are behind paywalls. Why play it? Parts of the story, the actual mystery, are left out if you don't pay for them.

I'm just saying: $300 is too much a half finished game that is only going to get more expensive. I wouldn't pay that for a full, finished game. $300 dollars is not only unreasonable, but unattainable.

It's Otome game based, but most Otome games are finished and only $60 at most. They have dedicated followings and fans. Which The Arcana cannot at... $300 for an unfinished game. It's just not very fan friendly.
