#flashbackfriday to my first 5k race. Not only did I finish, I placed 2nd in my age group! As a non-runner, it was totally unexpected even though I had spent weeks training. Yes, I trained myself even just for a 5k because I wanted to push myself. And since this first race in 2016, I've ran at least 6 more 5k's, a 5-mile, and a 10k. All things I never thought I would do!
