So, it’s Friday, and I’ve been watching lots of make up vids in an effort to improve my own purdy mug 🥴 I was halfway through putting this on when I realized two things.

1. We are still in a pandemic

2. There ain’t nowhere to go

So I wiped it all off.

One day I’ll be able to do a proper drag look. That’s one of my New Years resolutions for 2021, actually! Well that and to be more openly out out even in the face of a small town Muslim community. Meet Neela Pahard, y’all!

My drag name/persona at this point is influenced by where I grew up, the Blue Ridge Mountains of TN, and my Pakistani roots. Neela Pahard (knee-la p’har*) actually translates to Blue Mountain in Urdu. Because of my EXTRA large size and personality I feel like a mountain of a person as well. There’s a bunch more layers that go into that name, but that’s why my icons are Beyoncé (so I can feel a lil like Blue😅) and Shrek (cus I’m like an 🧅 ) .

Anyways I don’t have any platforms that don’t have gossipy brown aunties on there who can’t help but phone me up and harass me for my sexuality. So I decided to use this ol thing, because I’m too damn old for tiktok. I’ll just wait till the next big app comes, by then I’ll hopefully have more than just make-up, a corset, and some heels.

Until then I’ll start posting more of my exploration into drag on here! Maybe share a few stories and experiences? Idk 🤷🏽‍♂️ we’ll see y’all, I need to get better about organizing my life outside of technicolor first. So far I’ve done “full drag” out once here in LA but we’ll see if the Abbey opens up how I’m looking by that time. 🧐
