The Banshees of Inisherin Review

Ok so I just got done finishing this film, and in the light of how busy I ahve been I’m gonna keep this short but I swear I have a fun horror project and futurama projects soon but getting back to the film at home

It was such a good movie, the performances are great throughout with Collin Farrell giving the best performance of his career. It has overall fantastic cinematography and direction that just lays the cherry on top over Martins beautiful script.

Although fantastic it’s not a fun film, I reared up once and it’s not because it’s particularly sad it’s just because for lack of a better term it hurts, this movie is miserable up until the very end, the ending scene is one of the best of all time but it’s not a happy film and it cna be kind of disturbing.

All in all I highly recommend it was soooo good!! Absolute masterpiece… 10/10

THIS EPISODE WAS SOOOO GOOD OMG

first off one thing that i think is kinda overlooked is the show and especially this episode was really really funny just like charming and funny

ok so i love prismo, i always have and he just slayed here sm, i love how like defeated he is like that seems to be a theme with simon, fiona, and prismo they are all defeated so i’m looking forward to them fully going into that because there’s no way it’s just a coincidence. i also love the whole fan fiction in ice kings head with prismo thing, it’s so clever and works really well and is so in character

i think fiona and cake and then kinda coping was done well, like they said they realize they were made up by a lazy wish master for funsies but to decide to ignore that and try to have fun in a fantasy world, there’s a moment i really like where they are running around in the cube but they realize they can’t get out, they keep running in circles, they can’t escape from prismo. it wouldn’t surprise prise me if that comes back later as thematically it seems to be pointing to a story of the two having to “escape” their reasoning for existing and their purpose in life as made by prismo, and try to become their own people

i love how defeated simon is here, he totally gives up on betty and just refuses to do anything until fiona reaches out her hand which is such a sweet moment and then ofc the last line gave me chills

ok not much thoughts on this episode, i love how like at the very end cake had realized that she sorta like messed this little villages life and ofc simon ATE any time he was on screen but other than that the episode was fine

AKSJDKFIFIDIFITIT I LOVE SIMON

he’s like idk very relatable for me personally and i’d love to get into that, idk i might decide to write like paragraphs abt that to post later lol

finn was a wonderful addition i loved the cameos and i love how finn was like for sure more mature but also his like kind dumb playful self i loved it

the ending collision sorts shows that the are intro eps to the prologue, a prologue of sorts which means the real pilot is next week, ugh i have to wait two days

Fiona and Cake episode 1 thoughts: I really like fiona as a character, i think that it wouldn’t have worked as a good opener ep if it weren’t for the og series but it was pretty great i loved marshal lee and i love fiona so im really interested to see if we spend more time with those specific characters in this series since it’s about like reality hopping

idk hi!!!! I just got a new computer and decided to sign up to tumblr. Well laptop but computer nonetheless. Actually for a laptop it can run some games pretty smoothly like I'm playing through Fallen Order and I had good graphics with a good framerate. I've always wanted to journal and stuff but I never did so ig this is my chance.
