Maria to Em - 'I'd much prefer to kill you with witnesses than without....more fun that way'
Maria to Em 'I'd risk everything before you. Do you understand that?....Everything'
Britney Jackson writes the most beautiful enemies to lovers with Em and Maria in Pirates of Aletharia/Goddess of the Sea, I can't wait to see where the story goes in the next book 💙

How is there not a bigger fandom for Pirates of Aletharia/Goddess of the Sea?
I mean dragons, magic, enemies to lovers and lesbian pirates, what more could anyone want?
I for one am hooked and can't wait for the next book, I need more Em and Maria, more of the crew of the Wicked Fate and more dragons 💙

AMC knows who brings in the viewers, hype, excitement and engagement for The Walking Dead. They know who their money makers are and who brings in those numbers.
But Andy and Danai gave us the perfect conclusion and happy ending for both the characters and the fans and a return isn't really necessary. They must be tired from carrying this franchise for so long and I wouldn't blame them at all for not coming back. To be truly honest, I don't think the general TWD fandom deserves them anyway, especially as some people are blaming TOWL for the less than successful first episode of DC s2.
As much as some people hate to admit it, Rick and Michonne are the shining lights of this franchise, the Grimes are The Walking Dead and TOWLs success just proves that even more and whether they return or not it will still be true.
Andy and Danai deserve better and though I'm not against a return, it must be on their terms. They're both booked and busy right now and I love that for them ❤️

It's always so satisfying, amazing and little surprising when a ship of mine gets their happy ending

I can't wait for the audiobook for Goddess of the Sea, I already have the voice of Lindsey Dorcus in my head when I'm reading it and I love the way she narrates and gives each character their own distinct voice.
I hate the fact I've almost finished my second re-through but knowing the audiobook shouldn't be too far away is almost as exciting as reading the book for the first time!

And we are here at the finale of The Ones Who Live. An episode that aired a year ago today that may, or may not be, the final time we see this beautiful family.
As with each and every episode of TOWL, I loved 'The Last Time'. Lots of Richonne being the power couple we all know them to be but also being the loving and devoted husband and wife and parents we adore.
From the very first scene, a very hot, sexy, romantic, intimate and gorgeously shot scene where Rick placed the ring on Michonne's finger to Rick voicing his regret at missing out on so much over the years and then promising Michonne they wouldn't be apart again to the amazing family reunion at the end, I was captivated.
I know there are some people who felt this was rushed, that the CRM was taken down too easily but I have to disagree. TOWL was never about the CRM, they were never the focus, this spin off is about Rick and Michonne, its about their love, their connection, their fight to reunite and get back home to their children. And also the CRM isn't gone completely, it's still there and could still be a threat.
I thought this episode completed these 6 episodes perfectly and their reunion at the end, wow! I had a feeling it was coming but to see it actually happen, to see Michonne reunite with Judith and RJ and then to watch Rick see his daughter again after so long and finally meet his son was just so beautiful. It was perfect and I couldn't have asked for anything more.
As for whether this is the last time we see the Grimes, I have to say I'm perfectly fine with whatever happens. If this is the end then I couldn't be happier, they got their well deserved happy ending and I'd be more than content to say TWD ends here for me. But, it would also be wonderful to see them again, as long as Andy and Danai have control once more. They are the only ones I trust to continue their story.
I want to thank Andy, Danai and Scott for giving us the perfect continuation and possible end to the Richonne story, we have been truly blessed with TOWL and we are so lucky to have such dedicated, caring, respectful and talented ship captains at the helm.
Whether or not we see them again, they have given us everything and I'll forever be grateful and feel so lucky to have found such a beautiful once in a lifetime ship.

As well as it being completely ridiculous, baffling and nonsensical, I find the fact that some people think Andy would return to TWD without Danai truly hilarious!
What story are they coming up with in their heads to make that scenario even the tiniest bit logical or realistic?
Where are Michonne and the children supposed to be while Rick is with Daryl and Carol or even worse Maggie and Negan?
Is Rick just breaking his promise to Michonne about them never being apart again?
Is he just up and leaving the love of his life and their children after being apart for 8 years, despite everything he said in TOWL?
As well as people not understanding Rick and his love and devotion to his wife and kids but I don't think they truly realise how much of a team Andy and Danai are. How close they are, how much they support, care and trust each other and how dedicated they are to telling Richonne's story.
In this franchise, where you find one you will undoubtably find the other, its just how it works and the sooner people accept that the better.

Romance in books doesn't tend to land well for me most of the time, but Em and Maria from Pirates of Aletharia are an exception.
A dragon riding witch and an infamous pirate captain, what more could you want? Their chemistry leaps off the page and I absolutely adore them ❤️
The third book can't come soon enough!

'Become', the fifth episode of The Ones Who Live season 1 aired a year ago today. An episode I see as the 'Say Yes' of TOWL.
Rick and Michonne are well and truly back together and Rick is doing everything he can to make it up to Michonne after what happened in the previous episodes. This is Rick Grimes pretty much back to being his usual self, obsessed with, doting on and utterly head over heels in love with his wife and we love to see it!
Obviously, his love for Michonne never faded, ever, but the CRM did a number on him and his fear and terror at losing her had taken over but after the previous episode, Michonne was able to help her man through the bs the CRM had implanted in head and brought him back to her.
I love this episode, I could have done with one less Jadis and Gabriel scene but overall it was a great episode. Rick was determined to shower Michonne with as much love and devotion as he could, from the toothpaste, to the bracelet and then what has become one of my favourite Richonne scenes ever, the proposal/vow renewal, Rick was on it and his characteristic lover boy status was clear for all to see. I also love how we got a throwback to their canon episode and confirmation of what I already knew, that Rick was in love with Michonne before that night on the couch.
Speaking of the proposal/vow renewal scene, I do see it more as a vow renewal rather than a proposal. Rick was already referring to Michonne as his wife before this and I think they pretty much saw themselves as married long before the bridge. The proposal/marriage for me came in 'Say Yes', this scene was more a renewal of those vows and what vows they were.
The most beautiful, romantic and heartfelt vows I've ever heard onscreen. When someone tells you they're yours until their last breath, you know you've found the one.
Andy and Danai really know how to treat Richonners, they know what we like and I love the fact that what we like and want is also what they like and want for the characters too. We really lucked out with them as ship captains, I've never won this hard with a ship before.
This episode also saw the end of Jadis, I can't say I was sad to see her go, I was never a fan of her especially as she was the one who took Rick from his family all those years ago, but I thought her death was well done and at least she got to give Rick the ring, so she did one thing right!
Episode 5 is full of Richonne, much like 'Say Yes', this had a honeymoon feel to it. After the previous episodes, full of high emotion, tension and a rift between Rick and Michonne, this one felt a little lighter, as light as an episode in this franchise can be despite Jadis's death, and it was amazing to see Richonne back to their usual selves and it set up the finale perfectly.
Richonners were well and truly fed with TOWL and this episode is home to many of those feasts, a romantic road trip, presents, secluded cabins and a vow renewal in the woods, what more could we want? Well, maybe a reunion with their kids but that may have to wait until the next episode!

Genuine question, did we ever get an explanation as to why the 'Say Yes' extended van scenes will likely never be released?
I've only been watching for about 4 years and only found out about their existence a couple of years ago so I'm wondering whether there was ever a stated reason why they are so closely guarded.
I did hear Andy and Danai may have got a little carried away and may have shown a little more than they were supposed to so are they not comfortable with them being released? I'd totally understand if that was the case and would hope they would then never be seen but if they're fine with it then is it something else?
Does it have something to do with GN, he directed the episode so was he not happy with them or was is something else?
I love those few little snippets we got in the episode but I've always wondered what else there was and why it's such a closely guarded secret. Maybe we'll never know and it will remain the big mystery but it does intrigue me as to just what they were doing in that van for those tapes to never see the light of day

I hate even writing his name but the amount of people I see defending Negan in this fandom is highly concerning.
How anyone can side with him over Maggie, the woman whose life he totally destroyed in beyond me.
Not only that but the attempt at justifying what he did to his 'wives' is insane, so many people don't see what he was doing. They think that just because he gave them a 'choice' then that was them giving consent so it's fine.
I know lack of understanding and comprehension in this fandom is worryingly lacking at times but come on. This man has shown us his true colours more times than I care to see and yet people are still blind to it all.
How you can have empathy for a man like that yet want the worst to happen to Maggie is crazy, I'm sorry but it's things like this that really makes me hate this fandom sometimes.

I’m about to get on my soapbox for a second. The entire Annie/Negan storyline was so deeply vile from start to finish. They were trying to redeem Negan so they had him randomly pop back up with a pregnant wife whose entire character was reduced to knowing all the evil shit he’s done and not being bothered by it bc she loves him and thinks he’s nice now. She was given zero development besides humanizing him. Then when it’s time to start the spinoff they can’t be bothered to include her or develop her at all so they simply dispose of her by having her get raped and beaten and just sent off into the void along with her child so that they can shipbait her husband with someone he deeply traumatized by dredging up and re-doing the same grudge that was put to rest in the final season. I truly can’t wrap my head around what they were thinking here. Just one of the all time grossest most blatantly misogynist and racist examples of the disposable black girlfriend trope.

If you call yourself a Rick Grimes fan but you:
Try to erase Michonne, diminish her importance and/or generally imply that certain people should be prioritised over her.
Bully, insult and attack RJ and the actor who portrays him and/or Michonne and Danai.
Want Rick to come back but without his wife and children
Or, want Rick to leave his family behind and head off on his own to find Daryl and embark on some bromance road trip
You are not a Rick Grimes fan.
