hello!! i finally sat down and started electric rebels (i’ve been meaning to forever because i just knew i’d love it- and i totally do so far!). i’m only a few chapters in right now, but i think it’s so interesting the backstory and characterization you have for lamina. i love that, at least while they were growing up, she was more of the “tough” one out of her and treech (if that makes any sense lol). can i ask what inspired you to write her like that?

lamina's characterization in ER comes a lot from how johanna was viewed before and during her games and the parallels between johanna and lamina in the books. both of them basically cry nonstop before their games, then suddenly get to the games and they're tough, agile, capable fighters. i kind of imagined that lamina would have grown up showing that side of herself and likely was at least a bit admired by kids at school for her strength etc. so it comes as a shock to treech how vulnerable she is at the reaping and in the cattle car, because this is a girl who's very much a fighter, and i've wondered if johanna's neighbours/friends thought the same thing about her appearances before her games! but yeah the tl;dr is that lamina is a direct parallel and predecessor to johanna in my head so that's why i wrote her like that!

What headcanon do you always include in your stories?

I’m so glad you asked this so I can shamelessly self promote my musician!annie headcanon! I’ve written a lot about musician annie and basically she plays the piano as her victors talent and it becomes something she finds fulfillment in. I don’t know why but Annie has musician vibes to me and I include it in stories whenever I can.

hellooooo again!! always a pleasure to see you here 🤞🏽 we WILL be seeing our angel baby persephone, but as a supporting cast 🙏🏽 I think this is a good time to explain how I'm formatting the au, "employee of the month"!!

each chapter is a month dedicated to an employee, and at the end, they're awarded "employee of the month" by hy's mama <3 (but I might expand on it once I complete all the months 😍)

the mentors are customers with the most "screentime" with their respective tributes, so persephone would get the most spotlight in mizzen's chapter

I haven't had much laid out for her, but here's what I have so far!!!

health administration major :) she wants to run her own hospital

she and festus will get together by coral's chapter (aka chapter 1!!!) and will be an established couple throughout the series

hy's mama is so close 🤏🏽 to making a "customer of the month" wall and litter it with persephone b/c she tips well and tries to get to know everyone in the shop

I saw your hc of her nickname being "pippa" :((( I reall wanna use, that if you don't mind!! it's so adorable

a few treech headcanons <3

artist! treech lives in my head rent free. he loves going around Seven after his shifts at the lumber yard to find some new spots to sketch

adding on to this, he has a decent sense of orientation but still gets lost from time to time anyway (especially when it gets dark)

he's been saving up for colored pens for ages, but they're very expensive and hard to get your hands on

i hc him to be more on the introverted side tbh

but he loves his family!! i hc him with a couple of siblings, but his sisters are his (not-so-secret) favorites

he's also a mama's boy, but i think that's a pretty universal headcanon

he often does wood carvings with her and they're pretty good!! he prefers making the sketches for her though

he's good with kids! for some reason, they always fall asleep on him though

i feel like a lot of people had crushes on him growing up, but he either never noticed or he wasn't interested

his father taught him how to juggle. after the war, when they didn't have a lot of money, it's one of the ways he'd bring home some extra food or money

adding on to the above, he's definitely sneaky and has "accidentally" stolen a few things from Seven's richer ppl before

i think that if he liked someone, he'd def pick flowers from the side of the road for them (maybe his sisters even taught him how to make flower crowns)

his hat is technically his father's lucky hat, he often takes it without asking

his big sister made his neck scarf for him! he never leaves the house without it

he either sleeps in a starfish position or curled up like a kitten. no inbetween
