Tony (at peppers request) modified the light in the arc reactor to reflect tony’s own heart rate. The typical pale blue is when it’s at a good healthy rate. It turns yellow when it’s too fast. and it turns red if it’s too slow.

That way, Pepper can visibly see if Tony is having a nightmare.

She hoped she would never see red. She didn’t get her wish.

i like to think that Tony just couldn't bring himself to leave that spot without Peters body... bot it was gone.

So he scooped up just a little dust. and carried it with him to the ship.

At least once a day I remember the look on Tony's face when he realised Peter was going to die.

Can CPR be performed on Tony? With his arc reactor...

Especially considering a lot of the members of the team have super strength, and the metal could break his sternum if theres too much force.

Who on the team would be desperate enough to just try CPR, knowing it could be really dangerous? If the AI isnt working and FRIDAY cant act as an AED, who would do it? It shouldn't be Steve, Peter, or Thor.

tony and peter share a habit of escaping their rooms and heading to the roof whenever they can’t sleep.

Peter sometimes ends up on the fire escape of his apartment, but when he’s in the Stark building, he finds the roof and lays flat, watching the stars.

and tony? ends up sometimes in his landing pad, but if he has the patience, his favorite of the roof. He likes to sit on the ledge and watch the city.

Sometimes, peter and tony end up on the roof on the same nights. they try not to acknowledge each other, as one sits on the ledge and the other lays flat on his back. But it’s nice for both of them when they’re there together. It’s helps, to know other people are there.

(And then, one day, Peter goes missing. Kidnapped, presumably. There was never a note left, but tony is sure he’s out there. He has a feeling. Tony loses sleep many nights, trying to find his boy. Trying to track him down.

The first night that Peoper insists Tony sleep, tony tries. he does. but he just can’t sleep. he can’t do it, not with his kid somewhere out there, probably in pain, probably scared. He can’t just lay here.

He makes it to the roof, as he always does. And there, he finds the very boy he was worried about. Sitting in Tony’s spot but facing into the roof, seemingly unharmed. Peter only has time to say “Mister Stark, I can explain-“ before Tony tackles him in a hug.

It took Peter 20 minutes to explain the whole story, but he had a good reason for disappearing. a very good reason. And now, Tony has a lot of work to do, while Peter goes back into hiding.)

do yall think tony keeps an enormus amount of snacks in his lab or do you think he forgets to eat for hours and hours and then only remembers once his function is impaired so he orders takeout

Tony doesn't take a lot of pictures of himself. He has never had cause to. There are plenty of pictures of him that come out any day he goes into public, better pictures than Tony could take himself, so Tony doesn't take many of himself.

The habit stuck.

Humans are not inherently evil. Humans are inherently desperate.

This is what Peter tells himself post-spell, as the public slowly turns against him. As people get mad at him for not helping enough. as ned unfollows the spider-man instagram.

As Peter starts stealing to stay alive. as he wonders if his past self would stop his current self.

as peter’s photography becomes more popular, he gets promoted to interviewing people. Spider-Man has gone viral many times, but the first time Peter Parker goes viral is when he catches a baseball heading straight for the person he’s interviewing, without a glove, like it’s nothing.

the scene cut after obediah says "the best thing about tony is also the worst thing: he never stops working" and it cuts to tony at a casino... its played for jokes and its very much meant to emphasize how little tony cares for "serious" awards/work, but the camera cuts to a wider shot and theres litterally like 100 people watching him play this game.

I wish we knew more about pre-cave Tony, because I wonder if that tony considered public apperances as a chore the same way later tony did, and if that tony would rather be in his workshop.

at the press conference after Tony came back from Afghanastan, the first reporter to speak to Tony was named Ben. We know this befact Tony greets him by name.

I wonder if Ben was special in any way, or if Tony (in secret) knows the names of a lot of the reporters who frequently show up to press conferences. We've seen him not recognize people, not know their significance. But that quiet, vulnerable "Hey, Ben." makes me wonder how much of it was actually an act.

tony saying that howard may have been “every inch the man we all remember from the news reels”.

that “we” gets me every time. The idea that Tony only got to know his father through his father’s reputation, only gets to remember him through the televised showings.

hey guys when Tony's "workshop" in the cave was invaded after they realized hes not building the missile, Tony only had the advantage of surprise because the invaders didn't realize that the hunk of metal standing there had a person in it.

and in Tony's workshop, for the rest of the movies, theres always a line of suits around the walls.

Thinking abt the parallel between Rhodey trying to hype Stark up before the weapons demonstration and Yinsen explaining the Stark Legacy to Tony after Tony agreed to build the missile.

Obediah Stane called Tony "my boy" in IM1. I wonder what other fatherly nicknames he used

I wonder if the reason Tony only calls Peter "kid" is because its one of the only nicknames that Obie didnt call Tony

what i wouldn’t give to know the complete list of who has complete access to tony’s lab…

canonically, we know Rhodey and Pepper do. but i want to know the completed list

at the start of IM1, JARVIS gives a daily report to Tony's room.

JARVIS spends a lot of the report discussing surf conditions and the high tide...

So, we need more surfer!Tony art.
