It looks like I have to explain how being in a musical works.

I can't guarantee that everyone will get a spot. Technically, I'm not running this production. I just got it here.

Everyone interested will be able to be involved. Not everyone is guaranteed a spot, but if we do the high school version, there will be an ensemble that does some backup dancing and singing.

SIX does not have a lead in the traditional sense. SIX is a concert. Everyone in the show is featured with equal prominence and importance to the plot. If you're in the cast of the show, unless whoever directs this decides to go with the high school version, you're playing the lead. There are six leads.

You don't just get to pick your role. You have to audition. In high schools, typically, everyone who auditions gets casted, but if you don't get casted as the lead (or a lead; leads usually refer to any role that has a name and is important to a significant amount of the plot), you're in the ensemble. In professional theater, not everyone who auditions even gets ensemble.

As I said before, I'm not directly involved with the production itself. I convinced the Council to let Foxfire get a theater department, but I don't live in the Lost Cities, nor do I have a way to get there. If I can't be involved with an aspect of the production via Tumblr, it's out of my hands.

There will be an informational meeting during study hall on Monday 9 June 2025 AD (feel free to convert that if the Lost Cities doesn't use the Gregorian calendar) assuming I can get Magnate Leto to approve the idea and excuse interested students from that last hour of the school day. If you attend the informational meeting, get your audition materials, show up for the audition, and sing for whoever's running it, you have a chance. Outside of that, I can't guarantee anything. If you don't get casted, Dex volunteered to help with lights. You can also help with orchestration (Maggie, Bessie, Joan, and Maria are the ladies in waiting. Maggie plays the guitar. Bessie plays the bass guitar. Joan plays the keyboard. Maria plays the drums.) or another aspect of the show. Hopefully, this helps. I don't know what else to tell you because as I've mentioned a few times on this blog, I don't actually work at the school.
