my first ever dbd related commission!! surprisingly, this person found me not though my tumblr but on a game related discord server, which was super surprising.. had to fight through the doubts about it at first,, this is based on the Junji Ito skin for the Dredge but with the heads of their dnd oc, their persona and anya from mouthwashing! a very curious combination, but they were super happy with the final result! :DDD yyayyyy

sky logs || krills

i haven't been in wasteland in a while, so perhaps that's on me, but i noticed smth verry curious today.. (cue smth of a theory maybe)

the 3 big krills in the graveyard had "darkness" particles on them 👀

and the particles themselves aren't that rare, we see our skykids get them when our light is snuffed out or we get the curse.. crabs have them sometimes..

but for some reason when i look at the krills and the way they have the particles on them.. i imagine them more as......... pollen....

think about it, basically all (main) areas where krills fly (except for office maybe orr eden and some other more niche areas) have dark plants around.... now, i can't really imagine their big krill behinds landing on the tiny dark plants, buuuuuuuttttt.......

we know that krills are great swimmers, they might be born in water even, (we know that most sky creatures started off as marine life,plus the krill king, all that) and we actually see one emerge from it in one of the first wasteland areas itself. perhaps the pollen is smth that's in the water, that their body hairs and spikes pick up, which they then tranfer and spead by flying about...........

maybe the crabs use the plants as food.... and the krills are either genuises that lure in their prey (crabs) that way orrrr since we dont actually see them attacking each other... maybe they have a mutual relationship, a kind of symbiosis mayhaps.. crabs defend the area from the smaller, more annoying pests and light creatures, while the krill protects the overrall area, hunting bigger targets, spreading more food for them and their crabby friends. i dunno. am i supposed to be falling asleep at this point? yes. do i have a performance and more rehearsals tomorrrow? yess. am i in bed writing this cause i feel nervous to try and go to sleep? yeesss.

i dont know if any of this is too obvious to other people, im just tired and i dont think ive seen the pollen on the krills before. maybe its actually been too long and i forgot cause im silly. or i havent gotten close enough in a while or paid enough attention to notice it. point is, i wanted to make this post, and i usually enjoy reading things like this from other skykids on tumblr soooo yeah. maybe once im more awake i could make this into smth that makes more sense. even if it isnt accurate to the actual biology in sky itd be cool to make it make sense and connect it all together or smth.
