In the wake of an explosion at a gas station in Beach City's outskirts that he has no recollection of, Steven is sent to the Delmarva Institute of Mental Health and Recovery until the memories return and his trauma is fully healed. Although nervous about his admission to the Institute, he trusts that the people there want to help.

That is until his gem suddenly appears, and things quickly go off the rails.

As more of the layers of this facility get peeled back, his trust in it and in himself wanes, and the chance of ever getting to leave turns into a pipe dream.

He does! Not intentionally, it's more of a nervous tic that turns destructive. He pulls on his hair when he's upset or frustrated, and he starts to do it so often and so hard he pulls his hair out.

I haven't touched this AU in a long while, though I'd like to come back to it soon. Spoilers, but - I made some designs for Framed!Steven and Star after the AU's ending, and after talking with some friends about it, I think it'd be worth another shot. That being said, I'd like to rewrite some of the AU first, I'm not too proud of the writing.

I get like a dozen or so people that follow this blog every week and um... sorry to be the bearer of bad news but this blog is probably going to dead for the foreseeable future. Not doing any full blown projects in this fandom anymore, the damage to my mental health isn't worth it, and I can't say I've been a big fan of what the people in it have done to me. Maybe one day I'll finish this up but that day won't be any time soon.

You could probably get colored text if you use a style tag. Or even a div tag with a certain class for certain colors

Would star ever transform into someone else just to ease Steven's mind of missing people? Like Transform into Garnet or Connie?

If Steven asked him to, yeah, but he would never do that on his own accord. Star thinks he's Steven, so turning into something other than Steven would feel odd to him.
