It's International Bat Appreciation Day today, so I figured I'd draw a particularly unappreciated bat (Rogelio) with the one person that appreciates him the most - his baby sister, Iridián :3
Just a bit of context - Rogelio was sixteen when his little sister was born, and as he's currently 22 in the comic, Iridián is six here. Before he found work in his 20s, he did the majority of the childcare while his parents were working, and he still makes time to take her to and from school and hangs out with her when he can. Also unrelated but the uniform and school bag are based on the ones I had when I was in primary school :3 (This won't doxx me because bottle green is an alarmingly common colour for school uniforms in the UK)

Amphibiuary Day 29: Leap
A day late because I was both stuck for ideas and unwell yesterday. This morning, my mum told me she dreamt that I had drawn a frog doing a high jump, so thanks to her dreamscape for this one! (it's a pumpkin toadlet because they have a habit of flipping over backwards when they jump because their tiny ear canals mess with their balance!)

Amphibiuary 2024 Day 27
Romeo the Sehuencas water frog, a frog so rare that he was believed to be the last of his kind until a handful were found in the wild in 2019 (there is now a Juliet). You may remember Romeo from a 2018 awareness campaign that included him being given a dating profile on match.com!

Amphibiuary Day 26: Pink
Oreophryne Ezra! A frog that is mostly entirely black as a juvenile but grows into this rather fetching peach colour as an adult 🍑
(I had to use my rubbish scanner for this because although my camera is clearer it kept making this image orange, hence the blindingly white background cjsdj the original image has a more visible gradient effect)

Art from the parallel universe in which I made my OCs more realistic instead of making it easier for me to draw them playing instruments (still with the hair of course)

They skated 'til they dropped.
Absolutely fought for my life to get this to photograph well and lost, it doesn't look this washed out in person!

One of my favourite frogs, the European common toad! While they are endangered in the UK, thankfully they are abundant over the rest of Europe.

Amphibiuary 2024 Day 19: Underrated
While frogs are certainly not underrated at all, there's definitely a wide gulf between popular species and the ones seen as either bland or 'common' (unfortunately very few frogs are 'common' anymore, even the ones with it in the name!!). The European Common Frog is seen as a bit of boring one, but whenever we get one in the garden it feels like a special gift just for me uwu

Amphibiuary Day 18: Blue
A bit overdone but there really isn't a frog bluer than this one and I've committed to these colour prompts all being frogs, so here is a blue poison dart/dyeing frog!

Amphibiuary 2024 Day 16: Swim
When I finished yesterday's drawing, I thought 'I should have done an aquatic frog, that would have made more sense' and I saw the prompt for today and realised it wasn't too late!! This is a Cape Platanna, or Cape clawed frog, which is an incredibly rare aquatic frog that you would NOT find in domestic aquariums!
