Wait. I just realised omg- a literal GODDESS of LOVE literally told Dream, word for word, "You really don't like women".

In the comics, when Dream and Delirium are looking for Destruction in the Waking world, they end up at some point looking for "The dancing lady", who turns out to be a dancer named Ishtar who works at a strip club. She's a goddess of love and Destruction's ex-lover, and Dream never liked her, he would purposely ignore her when she was with Destruction. Anyway. Dream of the Endless doings, he's an asshole most of the time to a lot of people.

And okay, maybe Ishtar told him that in a "you're a misogynist prick" way, but. She's a goddess of love.

What if, just what if, there was more to it. As a goddess of love maybe she knew something about Dream that he didn't know about himself.

What's more to this story is that, this is right before he tells Del they should stop looking for their brother because it harms people. AND. He went on this quest in hopes of perhaps seeing the girl who just dumped his Endless ass.
