The Snowdrop Shepherd creeps along frosted ground in the early hours of the morning, cup of coffee in a steaming acorn mug. She holds her lantern close to the ground and… yes there’s the ladder into a snowdrop home, peeking out from frozen earth. Deep in the hole is a tight bundle, wrapped in moss and dead leaves, all tucked in against winter cold. The snowdrop shepherd rings her bell and calls out “Wake up! Wake up, snowdrop! Dare to dream of dappled rays and warmer days still to come!”
