Since I literally can't be doing everything I really wanna share my ideas for the Beasts in this mlp AU! Bc they've been in my head since this post!

The Beasts are pretty much all based on villains from mlp! I'll explain choices in more detail under the cut!

Mystic Flour = Changeling* (Chrysalis)

Burning Spice = Centaur (Tirek)

Shadow Milk = Draconequus (Discord)

Eternal Sugar = "Dark" Alicorn (Nightmare Moon/Daybreaker)

Silent Salt = "Dark" Unicorn (Sombra)

Mystic Flour as a Changeling Queen is admittedly my least confident choice here- but what do you think? Idea currently would be to have her be the Queen of a "different breed" of Changelings than those in Chrysalis' hive. First off, they could be more based on spiders, and they could appear more white than dark. And, as Changelings feed on love, perhaps Mystic Flour could feed on Volition or Apathy? Or even Resolution and it causes apathy? (precorrupt could be based on the alternate "good" design for changelings, i'm forgetting what they're called rn tho </3)

Burning Spice being a centaur like Tirek just, makes sense? Both can deal a looot of destruction & all. Alternatively he could be a dragon if you prefer, but there isn't really a villain dragon, & I like the idea of having them based on villains rather than just non-ponies or, beasts- so I'm sticking with centaur here.

Shadow Milk just makes sense as a draconequus. They're literally spirits of chaos that can shape the world around them and mess with ponies' heads. His animal-components are all based on ones seen in his domain, the one thing I'd now add might be white wings (the owl of lies or whatever it was) but he doesnt necessarily need them lol. As Discord turned the mane 6 into the opposite of their elements ("discorded mane 6") that's how Truthless Recluse happens here.

Eternal Sugar makes sense to me as a "Dark" Alicorn with her design and everything seen of her so far (Eternal Rest/Happiness yeah?) though her design would likely look less obviously "evil" than Nightmare Moon & Daybreaker.

Silent Salt is another that could easily change once we hear more about them, but the armor, darkness & war-vibe made me think of Sombra, esp. early in the show where he didn't have much speaking lines either, making for a more silent threat.

If ppl are interested in this AU I'll do a post for the Ancients as well, as I got thoughts for them too~ The Soul Jam are practically the Elements of Harmony :'D
