As someone who wants to write a sonic fanfiction with a well developed and complex OC, I've gone to you guys to give me advice since you guys are pretty much experts in the Sonic bad OCs. (I mean, my God, Rainbow? Really?) So what should I avoid like the plague?

Well, the best thing to do is just think realistically. Is it really likely that your character is the best at (X)? Is it likely that they are part shark, part wolf, and part koala bear? Is it really likely that they are related to a canon Sonic character or even bffsies with them?Not really, but in regards to the first and last examples, it's not unlikely that it happens down the road if your story progresses! When you make a character, it's not going to have the best abilities and all of the canon friends all at once. If it's going to end up that way in the story, just let that stuff happen gradually.The best thing to do is think simple, but make sure there is a unique, personal touch. Don't be afraid to think creatively, but if it starts becoming a tad realistic, you may want to reconsider some things. C:I did the best I could to help LOL I am p tired tonight
