Do you ever read a fic and you’re like…holy shit. There’s people who just. Exist out there? Who can write like this? Can tell a story better than a lot of published writers? And you just sit there in awe after reading one of the best pieces of fiction you’ve ever feasted your eyes upon. And you didn’t have to pay for it. It was fucking free. Just posted to the web on this silly little website, about characters you adore? And they got the characterization down perfectly and it’s paced so well and the yearning and slow burn is crafted deliciously and it’s just SO GOOD. God damn. I want to read it for the first time over and over and over again.

Well. I’m actually one of few girls in my family. I don’t have any 1st cousins who are girls, and of the girls in my family, I’m just really not close enough to them to throw my life away for theirs. I only see them maybe once a year, and we don’t usually talk. Maybe that sounds selfish, but it’s the truth.

As for my younger brother, if I could volunteer in his place, I would 100%. Regardless of the situation, I’d like to think I’d jump in to protect/save him. He’d actually have way better chances of surviving the games than I would. He’s a harder worker, stronger and more athletic, and probably has more survival skills (he did Boy Scouts) than I do (and he wrestles, so definitely more combat experience). I probably have more critical thinking skills, just because I’m older/more mature and have more experience than he does. But he’d definitely have better odds than I would. I’d still save him if I could.

Honestly my chances of winning the hunger games are probably slim. I don’t know how to use any weapons, I’m way out of shape compared to years ago (I cannot run for more than two minutes anymore) and I seriously don’t have it in me to hurt or kill people. Also I’m a total wuss. I cannot do bugs, or sweat, or hot weather. I melt in the sun. I’m pathetic. Also I have terrible allergies. And I also have syncope and I’m hypoglycemic. If I go more than 8 hours without food I will start shaking and I will pass out and you best believe I do not know how to catch wild animals for food. Honestly the only think going for me is I kind of know about herbs/plants, and I can be crafty/creative and have always been a good tree climber. Beyond that I’d be screwed. So I guess I would eat grass or clovers. And climb a tree to camp out. And either die from starvation (I hope not, that would take a while & would be horrible) or someone else killing me.

Hello! Not to put any pressure on you, but I have your fic ‘Swan Upon Leda’ in my bookmarks and I haven’t started it yet because i read you’re on hiatus. Will you ever finish writing it?

Yes! It was on hiatus because I didn’t have any time to work on it while I was finishing my first year teaching. But the school year is over now (yay!), and I plan to have the final chapter out either this month or the next. So keep your eyes peeled!

Also, I need the pressure. More people need to bother me about it because sometimes I forget it’s something I could be working on. 😅
