another jetko-dad-adjacent idea: remember that one baby that was born in the serpents pass episode and ends up in ba sing se at the same time as them? somehow jet ends up watching the baby while the moms in a store because he loves kids. zuko sees him with the baby, and helps his boyfriend watch the kid until the mom is done.

example of the interaction this could cause:

zuko: is it supposed to be that small, or is there something wrong with it?

jet: there's nothing wrong with her, and stop calling her an it.

jin, who just walked by: is that . . . is that a baby?

zuko: its not his, he's just borrowing it.

jet: babysitting. the word you're looking for is babysitting.

Baby Hope loves new people and so when her mom gives her to Jet for a bit, she's giggling and happy and babbling to Jet's immense delight.

Jet holding up baby Hope to reach Zuko who is has a lot trepidation with the baby because it's so small and tiny and breakable. Baby Hope manages to reach up touching Zuko's scar, he freezes wondering how the baby will react, then Hope giggle some more and he breathes a sigh of relief.

Jin drops by sees the baby and teases them about getting a baby. Zuko shouts about it and then looks back at the baby who just stares at him with those big vacant baby eyes. Jet lifts Hope up and blows a raspberry on her tummy and she's a bundle of joy again.

Suffice to say, Hope's parents now have a favorite babysitter.

Does anyone want to hear my rant about how Chat’s clinginess around Ladybug has absolutely nothing to do with his romantic feelings for her and everything to do with emotional abuse or are we all tired of that discourse

Thinking about the strict etiquette around hair in the fire nation, especially the fact that the only people allowed to touch your hair in public are close family.,, thinking about sokka who keeps ruffling zuko’s hair or giving him little braids just because. Zuko who keeps letting him do whatever he wants and wears the little blue beads for DAYS, never bothering to inform sokka about the rules bc it means that then he will stop. And for some reason he just can’t accept that. (Etiquette is dumb anyway.) Once sokka absentmindedly tucked a strand of hair behind Zuko’s ear in front of the whole council and a crusty old noble had a stroke (good.) Everyone thinks they must be courting. the rumors are insane. Meanwhile sokka & zuko are still stuck in the “oblivious idiot” stage of the 50000k slow burn romance, blissfully ignoring the fact that by fire nation standards they’re already boning in front of everyone’s salads.

I’m gonna cry. The last two fics I read were 100k+, one killed off the love interest and left the other alive and alone with no warning, the other left off on a cliff hanger for a nonexistent sequel. Why do the gods hate me like this.
