we are missing a lot of the feel good women’s music the late 90s/early 2000s had. I’m talking the folk-pop female artists like Sheryl Crow, Michelle Branch, Tracy Chapman, Tori Amos, Sinéad O’Connor, Indigo Girls. they were so soulful and not as rampantly sexualized. they were in a lot of cases FOR WOMEN and I miss that.
#true#The late 90s was the last era before female musicians had to sexualise themselves to make it big

"live every day like it's your last": scary. weirdly foreboding. not a good thought process if you get anxious easily. stressful. so much pressure that it loops back around to making you do nothing. "live every day like it's your FIRST": everything becomes fascinating. renews the excitement of discovering things for the first time again. makes you feel like exploring stuff. #mywisdom

My friend, you had horses, and deed of arms, and the free fields; but she, being born in the body of a maid, had a spirit and courage at least the match of yours.
