🦇 Reminder that the way to support artists & content creators on this site is by using the reblog function; likes don’t do anything here. It doesn’t work like instagram. Think of likes as more of a “bookmarking” function.

⚠️ By the way; reblogging is not the same as reposting. reposting is saving an image and making a post from scratch and taking it away from its original source -the source being the gifmaker, artist, graphic designer, etc. which is basically stealing- while reblogging is sharing without taking anything from the original source.

❤ These amazingly talented people spend hours making content for all of us for free. The least we can do is hit a button to spread their creations across the website to show them appreciation for their work and what they love to do, and motivates them to create more.

#it's always so sad when I spend like 10 hours on a drawing only to have it dead in the water with 5 likes #like I have so many drawings I was so proud of that never got a single reblog and just got buried #it really makes artists not want to do anything when there is zero engagement #I love drawing my favorite stuff but it sucks being the only one to see it #like I'd like to make friends over stuff I post #I want mutals who r as cringey and obsessed with whatever subject I am at that time #it would be nice to actually get tumblr to use tumblr the way it's supposed to be used #reblog stuff #it's important #reblog rant
