Metric - “Monster Hospital”

Today I find myself on a Metric kick. I haven’t listened to them in ages, but they are a Canadian indie rock and synth pop band that have been kicking around since 1998.

Granted, this song is an older one (from 2005) but it has always been a personal favourite. Here’s to more music and success, as well as to more listeners for a Canadian band with true longevity!

Lmao this American girl walked up to a Hungry Jacks (Burger King) register with her drink and really, really loudly (I was at the other side of the place) proclaimed: “I asked for Lemonade, you gave me Sprite” in a really bitchy, entitled voice.

The cashier (and everyone within earshot) just looked at her like “the fuck is wrong with you”

In Australia, Sprite IS lemonade as far as we’re concerned.

How did the Canadian media get so concentrated in only a handful of owners (similar to American media)? Was there any deregulation legislation?

I don’t have the answer to that. Maybe my followers do.

Canada has won its second Gold Medal of the Rio Olympics.

Canada’s Flagbearer, Rosie Maclennan has won a gold medal in Trampoline. She previously won the gold medal in this event in the London Olympics 4 years ago.

Canada now has 2 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 5 bronze medals. All have been won by women.
