What is SEO Siloing structure for the website?

What is Silo?

Virtual Silo: It's another significant way of siloing your site to increase your SEO efforts and is very much similar to directory silo. The only reason why these two siloing practice different from each other is that in directory silo you will be dealing with physical directories of your site and shifting one documents to another directory where it belongs. However, in virtual you link one page with another that lies in the same directory.
For example, you keep all the content related to Ethnic Wear and Western wear in a single directory and where there are subcategories and another sub- pages that have the information about both the directories. So what you do here is link all the content related to Ethnic wear to all other contents that have the information about Ethnic Wear and not link any page related to Western wear. In a similar way link all the pages of Western Wear to all other files that contain information about the same and not Ethnic. All the linking is done in a single directory. In this ways, the Ethnic wear content will be linked to the Ethnic landing page and vice versa.
Directory Siloing is best when you are launching a new site as this siloing will help you easily search any content as you know the name of the folder. However, if you already have a website which contains lots of files and contents that are not organised well than virtual siloing is the best option.

Norway : Turning discarding FM Network to Digital From 2017
The cease of the national FM network began on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017. It’s a drastic change in the radio technology as its a shift from normal to digital. It’s like shifting from analogue TV or cable network and digital TV or set-top boxes. The changeover started from Bodo, northern Norway and will be implemented from region to region.
Norway becomes the First country in the world to shut down its entire FM -Frequency Modulation with Digital Audio Broadcasting -DAB. It will work by coding sound into digital signals, then break them and decode and assemble then at the receiving end using DAB. So that, that will be the minimum loss of sound and audio quality in recreating in CD like quality. FM network was started in the year 1950.
Why are People Unhappy by the move of ceasing FM Network?
According to a recent opinion poll in the Dagbladet newspaper, 66% of the people in Norway are unhappy with this move. As they think that the government hastens the move and they may miss the emergency warning that had been broadcasted via the FM Network. Other major concern is that over 2 mn cars on Norway’s i.e. 80% of the car are not equipped with the DAB receiver and most adapters sell for NKr1,000-NKr2,000 ($115-$230). With the Installation of the DAB technology approximately 8o lakhs, radio set will become useless.
Why is the Norwegian government shifting to DAB?
According to Norway government, the main reason behind shifting from FM network to DAB is cost. By switch – off the FM network system, the authorities expects to save 200 mn Norwegian kroner per year. The changeover will only affect the national stations, the local ration will continue to broadcast on FM. However, It will provide the government with more spectrum space for national stations, which will go up from 40 from the 5 stations.
The government official added that DAB will provide better coverage, people will be able to catch up their missed programmes and even easily to get broadcast emergency messages at the critical time.
With DAB, the users not only able to hear the songs but also will get other digital information that will display on phone or car like the name of artist and album of the current song. Another advantage with the digital signal is that people don’t have to browse through the frequency range to find their favourite radio station. They only have to select the station or broadcast from the menu.
Conclusion
Many Countries are looking at Norway’s move in a positive way and are planning to shift from FM network soon. Switzerland is planning to shift to digital radio by 2020. Britain is also considering following the same once the number of people listening to digital radio reaches 50%.
