I think Ryan Coogler is a genius, man. I'm in awe over Sinners. Coogler managed to put all aspects together and build such a well-construct movie where everything is captivating.
Story telling and plot? Ten out of ten. I think this is the first time I've ever seen such a movie where the drama, the romance, the horror, and the angst being so intertwined and so well-executed.
Cinematography? Ten out of ten. I especially love that shot where Sammie was singing at the Juke Joint, and then it showed how his musicality could break the veil to the past and also to the future. And that one shot where the building was burning around them while the people were dancing is just 👌👌👌
The scoring? Do I even need to explain it? It's ten of out ten!
Casting and chemistry? Ten out of ten. Michael B. Jordan, Wunmi Mosaku, and Hailee Steinfeld are AMAZING. I have no complaints. And this is Miles Caton's movie debut? Holy hell. The kid is going places.
I think Sinners is the only vampire movie that I watched that have me being scared over the vampires 🙃 good job, Ryan Coogler. Looking forward to his future projects.

This movie is amazing. I had a lot of fun watching it. I didn't expect to en joy it that much, but I'm hella impressed.
I love many, many things about it.
David Corenswet is perfect as Clark Kent. He's the perfect amount of dorky, the perfect amount of boy scout, and it feels like he's really made for this role. As Clark Kent himself, he fits, and added the dynamic between him, Lois & Lex? It's just 👌👌👌
I also love Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane in this movie. Because she completes Clark. They are so equal in their relationship, and despite Lois' denial about her feelings to Clark, it's just so them. The way Clark says 'I love you' first to Lois, the way Clark opted to walk out after a soft and understanding 'okay' when they had an argument, the way Clark loves Lois despite Lois being insecure that they will work or not because she's difficult at relationship, the way Lois push Clark to the best version of himself, the give and take between them, everything's beautiful.
And then there's Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. I think he's the 'it' for me for this role. Lex Luthor is about being selfish, narcissistic, envious, and jealousy and Nicholas Hoult brings all of them to the table just right. How Lex is so obsessed with Superman, because Superman got everyone's attention without even trying, and Lex doesn't like that.
The side characters are also fun to watch!
Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner--omg--I love him. Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen--adorable. And then there's Krypto the dog! Clark is so annoyed at him it's funny.
The only two things I find unsettling about this Superman movie is: 1) how Clark's apartment seems fancier than Lois', somehow it doesn't sit right with me, and 2) how they portray Kara as party girl who likes to get wasted. But well, she's young.
Other than that, I love this movie. Bradley Cooper appearance as Jor-El, Frank Grillo as General Flag and Edi Gathegi as Mr. Terrific are also lovely.
I also love how they already mentioned cloning Superman in this movie, and this set a solid base on how Clark will treat Kon-El in the future if they want to go that route.
I say James Gunn nailed this one, and I'm looking forward to the next.

Now that I've watched Nosferatu, I understand why sukufushi shippers are all over this movie, because: yesssssssssss.
The combination between romance and horror are so *chef's kiss*. It's a tragedy. It'a a horror. It's captivating. This movie is just so beautiful to me.
Also, I watched Reinfeld a couple of months ago, and Nicholas Hoult really loves to have himself captured by a big bad vampire, huh? ;) While Reinfeld is kind of the horror-comedy-action take of Bram Stoker's Drakula, Nosferatu is the horror-romance-tragedy take of it. And I love both. But now that Hoult had played this kind of role twice, I demand him to play as Jonathan Harker as well. You know, to complete it.
Bill Skarsgard as Count Orlok also just as menacing as expected. He really fits with this kind of charaters. Willem Dafoe is also just as weird as ever, and I love him for it. Aaron-Taylor Johnson playing the distressed husband is also something I didn't know I needed. But I gotta say that I'm amazed by Lily-Rose Depp. I had never seen her acting before, and she is impressive in this movie.
Now, I kinda need sukufushi fics based on this, but with sukufushi endgame of course.

I need the third movie! Now!
Oh my God, this franchise really got me hooked with their world building and my favorite thing about The Old Guard movies aside from the world building is the characters. You can't help but getting hooked on them.
I'm glad Andy and Quynh got to fight together in this second movie, but it's just towards the end! So I need third movie ASAP.
And Nick & Joe. Where can I start with them. I really like what they do about their relationship in this one and the previous one. They are not overly showing PDA, minimal kissing, no make outs, but their gaze, their gentle touch, the way the understand each other and behave around each other, the forehead touch? That's mooooore meaningful to me. Because too many kissing and make outs will make their relationship look cheap. But what they portray here? It's beautiful. It shows that they have been with each other for centuries. They have gone through many things together. They love each other so much. Love them for it.
And Booker. Oh, Booker :( I know he finally got what he wanted but that is not what I want at all :(
Also, the one who came up with the idea of Charlize Theron vs Uma Thurman definitely need a pay rise.
Anyway, here's my plea for 3rd movie. I will start bugging Netflix.

To be honest, this movie is very interesting to me because of the casting. The combination of Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali, Eid Skrein and a bunch of dinosaurs? I'm sold. The four need to be in an action movie more often. Maybe with a comedic touch as well because their dynamic would be hella interesting.
What I dislike from Jurassic World Rebirth is the fact that they killed off Ed Skrein's character early so that we can't really see the dynamic developed between the four. But other than that, I love this movie.
Jurassic World Rebirth is such a fun movie to watch. I especially love Jonathan Bailey's character, a scientist who can hold his ground in physical and survival activities, doesn't hold the team back, and for once, not the kind of scientist who fucked up. He's a very ethical one, but still nerdy. I love that about him.
And there's also Scarlett Johansson's character, a seasoned retrieval expert, who's just in it for the money. But in the end, she's like the eldest daughter who gets the job done and tries her best to make sure everyone is alive.
Mahershala Ali's character is a very strong presence in this movie as well. The relationship he had with ScarJo's character as best friend is very touching, and I love that both he and ScarJo have high morality eventhough they initially were in this retrieval project for the money.
To be honest, I think the motivation is a bit shallow for them to come to this dangerous expedition, but then again, money. Who doesn't want it these days?
And there's also the Delgado family who got into this dangerous situation by accident! Their presence helped show the true characters of each person, and it's nice to have them on screen.
Anyway, it's a nice movie for me. Love it. I need them all to be back for another movie.

I have no other words for this anime aside from; amazing.
It captured me from start to finish. At first, I initially watched this one because the main character from the trailer reminds me of Ash Lynx and Okumura Eiji, and the animation is cool, so I went to watch it and I'm hooked.
With this kind of bleak theme, I don't think there is something that beats Banana Fish for me, but this one is pretty good too. The characters are solid, the animation is wonderful to watch, and the storytelling is very captivating. With the way they ended this one, I think they are open for another season, but I personally pretty indifference about it. Unless the team got another tricky mistery to solve. I love to watch the dynamic between the team. Let's see!

I gotta admit that this is the first Bong Joon Ho movie that I've ever watched. I still haven't watched Parasite, and I'm not sure whether I wanna watch that or not, but for Mickey 17 itself, I absolutely love it.
It's full of social criticism and yet it's also fun and very enjoyable. Robert Pattinson as Mickey is an absolute dork and I adored him for it. Steve Yeun, Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collette are also so damn amazing. And then Naomi Ackie--she's just brilliant.
Great premise, great story telling, great acting, and also the Creepers! They are so off-putting yet cute I think I wanna have one.
I do think this movie is better left alone without sequal though.

I freaking love this movie.
It's beautiful and touching and the found family is so heartwarming and it teaches you about love and especially love that withstand farewell.
I heard this is Kit Connor's first voice acting? He did a great job.
The dynamic between Roz (Lupita Nyong'o), Fink (Pedro Pascal) and Brightbill (Kit Connor) is just so so beautiful and I love them as found family.
I cried, and laughed and smiled and ahh-ing and ooh-ing over this movie a lot.
Anyway, DreamWorks never failed me before, and this movie still managed to impressed me. Love it.

Just like the Garden of Light chapter in the manga, which tells about 7 years after Ash's death, it also took me 7 years to finally have the guts to finish watching this anime.
I started watching Banana Fish in 2018 like everyone else, but stopped at episode 9 after the event of Shorter's death. I heard from people that have read the manga that after that is only more and more pain, and since I handled Shorter's death badly, how could I handle everything else that came after? So I took the logical opt out of this anime, though I also read the spoilers from people's posts.
So, 7 years. I already knew the ending. And I thought, let's finish this -- prompted by Lazarus, this new anime by Mappa where the main character reminds me of Ash and Eiji from Banana Fish. What's the worst could happen?
And apparently, that's my famous last words.
Because despite knowing the ending, I still bawled my eyes out and to be honest I don't know how to move on from this grief. I don't think I ever grieved this much over the death of my previous favorite characters. Not over The Song of Achilles. Not over Jason Grace. Not over Bobby Nash. Not over Archer. Not over Ryomen Sukuna. I did bawl my eyes on the spot over Rengoku Kyoujurou, but I moved on pretty quickly.
But Ash Lynx??
Holy hell. This anime did leave a very huge impact.
I only read Angel Eyes & Garden of Light part of the manga, so I can't really say about the manga, but the anime is so, so, so beautiful. It's so beautifully written it hurts a lot in so many parts. The story, the characters, the dynamic between them, it's so well-thought and well-executed and I love everything about it even though it hurts me so bad.
The seiyuu also did amazing job. The animation itself isn't as impressive as Lazarus, but I love it either way because their focus is in the plot and not the fighting scenes.
I think Banana Fish is the best star-crossed lovers I've ever encountered so far. It's so tragic and beautiful.

Wow. I just—WOW.
It took me a week to watch the whole thing.
Can you believe that The Pitt is my first hospital procedural series?? I can't even believe I started watching hospital series with this one! And they definitely set the standard so, so damn high.
Okay to be honest, I don't get 90% of the medical terms they say in the whole series. The only 10% I only got because I watch 9-1-1 and I read so many insightful batfam fanfictions. But even to a hospital procedural noob like me? This series is very, very enjoyable. Though the feeling when I watch the very first episode and they started talking in medical terms reminds me of the feeling I had back then when I watched Diamond no Ace (my first baseball anime) with zero knowledge about baseball 😅
And yet very intense. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole 15 hours. And I thought 9-1-1 was intense before 😅
I really like this show because since I usually know what happened on site with the 9-1-1 series, now I gotta take a peak of what happened in the ER after the paramedics drop them off there.
But you know what I like the most about this show?
It's so tasteful. They know how to make it focused on the patients and the emergencies they face, but they also let the audience take a glimpse of each characters' personal drama. And they treated the audience like we are smart, you know? They didn't dumb it down for us, they let us to read between the lines instead of pointing out the obvious, despite the intensity of the super fast pace setting, they somehow managed to get us involved. It really feels like we are there, as a part of the ER team. We feel their emotion. We feel their frustration. We bond if the characters on screen.
I also love how they handle the mass shooting situation in there. Though the one who made me bawl my eyes the most is the 6yo drowning case 😭😭😭
Though, as a Leverage series enjoyer, with Noah Wyle there, I really can't help but think this is a part of a damn long con 😅 and Drew Powell is also there! His character in The Pitt is such an asshole though orz it would be fun if somehow Aldis Hodge, Beth Riesgraf, Christian Kane, Gina Bellman & Aleyse Shannon can make appearance in season 2! Then I would really believe it's a part of a long con! Noah Wyle is Exec Producer for The Pitt anyway, right? I bet he can pull some strings ☺️
And I expect there will be season 2 of The Pitt!

I gotta say that this anime is so relaxing to me. Watching it gives me a very strong nostalgia of Gintama and this one reminds me all the good things about the predecessor.
I know that I heard Sakamoto Days doesn't have good receptions in Japan, but I am personally fond of this one. The story is simple, the art and animation is simple, the characters are simple, and everything is familiar.
It's a great change of pace when I need something relaxing to watch but still entertaining.
Sugita Tomokazu did a good job with Sakamoto Taro character, and I think the found family in this is precious. Hope they make another season of it.

This anime is something, alright.
It's so absurd, and I can't even guess what's gonna happen next because of the sheer absurdity, and yet I watch it all.
At this point, the absurdity has created a pretty complicated love maze between each character, and I'm curious about how our main character, Mori Ranmaru, is going to get out of this complication that he created, consciously or unconsciously.
Anyway, I love the characters' design and despite the absurdity, I enjoyed watching the whole thing, so I'm looking forward for the next season! Especially when Konitan is also one of the seiyuus -- it's been a while since I have him in any animes that I watch!

I can only say 4 things that I like about this movie:
Aaron Taylor-Johnson prowling and pouncing on his enemies
The way Dimitri is Sergei's weakness and he absolutely will do anything to keep his little brother safe
That scene where Sergei pointed out that a man is cheating on his girl at the elevator
That scene where Sergei's eyes glow in the dark
Other than that, the whole movie feels like watching something made by a 11yo whose entire writing experience is from Wattpad.

Aw man. I know people say the second season is bad, but I personally prefer the last season to this one?
Last season has everything I crave for in a media; found family, wholesome friendship between Reacher & Neagley, the team work together to unfold a mystery, chaos & revenge, the whole shebang.
While this season? It started with a bang but it ended... okay.
But maybe this is just me being biased because these few things don't sit right with me in this season:
1. The lack of Neagley. Reacher needs his Neagley.
2. I don't think Reacher and Duffy should be involved like that
3. The lack of twist. Quinn should be plotting better and fake his amnesia to make things interesting.
But I also love how we know about Kohl in Reacher's past and why he and Neagley are like that, and Reacher's interaction with Richard is also wholesome. I really hope Richard cross path again with Reacher in the future now that they are both wanderer.
Despite all that, I'm still looking forward to season 4.

These two movies are such a gem! I can't believe they need 7 years to make a sequel for it while Fast and Furious franchise got another movie every 3 other years or so. We need more movies like Batman Ninja and Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League! It's so refrreshing to watch, dramatic and cringey but I LOVE IT.
It's too bad that I can't get my hands on the Japanese dub version because region lock sucks balls, but I'm pretty satisfied with what they did in English dub.
So, I actually just binge-ing the two movies in a day (lmao), and I couldn't stop ohh-ing and ahh-ing all the time. Especially the Yakuza League one!
My favorites are probably these moments:
Alfred's presentation with anime opening style
Diana singing enka
The whole Justice League with their butchered Japanese version of names
Harley dressed as yankee girl
DianaHarley moments!!
Jaytim's crumbs that make the whole cracker!
Yakuza!Clark ahsksjdlsjdlsks
THE WHOLE CAKE THAT IS SUPERBAT
Anyway, I need them to make more of these movies. Like, a lot more.

It's my fault for deliberately not looking for any spoilers deeper for this movie so I'm not prepared for the major character death.
The movie was fun and okay -- not the best, because Venom is not known for the quality but I love it anyway -- until the death do the part.
I'm so not ready.
I was so expecting more fun, silliness and shenanigans and this is what I got instead??
There should've been any other way to get rid of the enemies, right??
But anyway. The chemistry between Eddie and Venom is still uncanny and I refuse to accept this ending.
Venom and Eddie are forever.

I need more movies like this. All fun and play from the start to the end. It may only score 58% on Rotten Tomatoes, but for me, Renfield is around 70%.
Maybe this is just me talking because I'm tired of critically acclaimed movies (though I still love them) and also the fact that I have a toddler at home so my concentration is shot, but I think mothers like me need more movies like this.
An easy movie to digest and fun!
I do think that Nicholas Hoult could take on more serious movies, but I'm also happy if he wants to stay in this lane.
Renfield is not only fun to watch for me, but also gave me a lot of writing ideas, so kudos to this movie.
