not “oh my god it’s just a tv show” as in you are not allowed to find genuine joy and form a true connection to fiction, but “oh my god it’s just a tv show” as in, if it legitimately stresses you out and impacts your mood when things don’t happen exactly the way you want them to, and it causes you to lash out at other - real - people, maybe you need to take a massive step back.

It feels very disingenuous and patronising to accuse fandom of reading more into lore than the creators present, and that it’s their fault when they’re disappointed by abrupt changes in the narrative. A good storyteller should be able to lay out the rules of a universe in a concrete and understandable way; if your narrative is so sparse and underdeveloped that people have to fill in the gaps so much that literally any new lore introduced throws all of that into the realm of impossibility, you haven’t got a good grasp on worldbuilding and characterisation.

Subbing in a special education class where there are a bunch of paras and a bunch of kids out, so there's nearly a one-to-one para to student ratio. Also the school had me get here an hour and 15 minutes early. This might be my most nothing day in living memory.

Just remembered that not everyone interprets Lawrence Gordon the same way I do (deeply repressed gay man who says he doesn't believe in god as a Man Of Science but has never truly been able to shake the fear and guilt put in him from a young age). Day ruined.

The 'rude/demanding' tone would be stuff along the lines of "if you like but don't reblog I'll [threat]" which i see surprisingly often, both serious and more silly
