Love the work you do, may I request Eula hcs with a shy/introverted S/O?
Eula with an introverted S/O
Character: Eula x gn!reader
Warnings: none
A/n: this took way too long for how short it is but I just got around to finishing it 😎
Tumblr media
• Eula never minded your introversion, rather she preferred it. Never forcing you to go out of your comfort zone. She knew you wished to blend in more, but your shy habits held you back.
• Although alone at most times, Eula would rather spend her time with a loved one. She wasn’t shy by any means, her isolation due to her reserved nature. She was raised by her family to be untrustworthy. In contrast, the Acting Grandmaster had taught her to cherish her comrades.
• Her hesitance and your introversion clashed at first. Both of you were not willing to make the first move. Yet you two mixed so very well once the wall fell between you.
As the Captain of the Reconnaissance Company, Eula was often invited to many formal events. Always given the opportunity of a plus one, she’d rather nobody accompany her other than you. Despite your initial apprehension, your need to please your girlfriend far overrode your shyness.
“Are you sure?” She asked you, your clammy hand gripping firmly onto hers. You two already dressed in matching formal attire, it would be a waste to turn back now. “You’re obviously uncomfortable with this,” she squeezed your hand back in an effort to calm you. Brushing her opposite hand across your cheek noticing your flush of embarrassment. Her worried eyes following her fingertip’s movements tracing the outline of your jawline.
“You must know you don’t have to do this,” her eyebrows knitted together. Her words were laced with understanding but she was looking at you with her doe eyes. You knew it was unintentional, yet it still felt like she was begging you. Your presence alone remains a source of comfort and power to her.
Standing outside the Knights of Favonius headquarters' large entrance, you took a couple of deep breaths before you decided to pull yourself together. “It’s alright…” you said, a thin sheet of sweat on your forehead. what’s the worst that can happen?
“But you’ve looked better,” she argued. “I’d rather stay back at home if-,”
“I’m doing this for you.” You interjected.
“For me?” Her look of pure innocence tethered your soul together firmly. She looked as if nobody had ever considered her feelings before. Just as badly as you wanted to go home, she wanted you to be by her side. Not once has she ever gotten her way in the Lawrence family. Always being the second choice.
“Yes.” You sandwiched her hand between both of yours to confirm your feelings. “For you I’ll go.” For Eula, you’d endure your quivering soul for a single night of memories amongst many others with her.
“Thank you, my love,” she smiled gently as her hand lingered on the door to allow you both in. The butterflies began gathering in her stomach once again. Your body rattled as you saw the large turnout the party had as crowds unveiled themselves to the creaky wooden door.
She looked back at you once more, her hand cupping your ear as she came close to whisper, “Don’t leave my side and I’ll protect you.” her opposite hand guided you and glued you by the hip.

“when we were kids, i used to have the biggest crush on you.”
Characters: Yae Miko, Ningguang, Mona x gn!reader
Warnings: none
A/n: I initially planned on having Nilou on this cause I’m in love, but I’m so unconfident in writing for Sumeru characters
Tumblr media
• Yae Miko had a crush on you before the war. Before things turned for the worst and she could focus on you. If she could turn back time before she had lost everything she would, but now she had bigger responsibilities and priorities. You were far from one of them.
• Your falling out started when Ei abandoned her nation during its all-time low. Miko’s hyper fixation on chasing Ei left her little choice but to forget you as Inazuma in its entirety lost hope for their Archon.
• Whenever you crossed paths with Miko it was like you never had a history together. When you two needed each other the most, when you two only had one another, you mutually refused acknowledgment. Your petty pride disguised itself as self-respect to avoid someone who wouldn’t choose you above her selfish leader.
Out of 500 years of no contact, on a random Tuesday night, you’re forced to break it outside the Narukami Shrine. You’re not fine, but you don’t mind. You want to run away, you can run away, it’s not like you’re confined- but you choose not to. You decide at this moment If it was her, she can break your heart over and over again, you don’t want to fear her any longer. “What did you say?” You asked with an annoyed tone to hide your desperation.
“When we were kids I used to have a crush on you.” She said with a straight face. You began regretting your efforts all these years to avoid the woman you loved. Maybe if you had just tried harder, “It’s nothing new really.”
You haven’t matured a bit, your knuckles turning white. Even biting your tongue at such an emotionally vulnerable moment for the both of you. Not willing to admit your own feelings for her just yet.
“I mean how dense can you be.” She rolled her eyes at your unresponsiveness, another habit that frustrated you about her. “It seemed like everyone knew except you. Even today- you don’t know. You will never know.”
“And how about now?” You asked, not wanting her to continue her demeaning tangent against you. Her eyebrows raised like she was asking you for clarification. “How do you feel about me now.”
“How unfair of you to ask me these questions, do I get nothing in return?” Her voice was laced with momentary amusement, a red devious glare in her eye. “Of course, I don’t feel the same.” Her smug smirk dropped at the same pace as your heart sinking to your stomach.
“But I won’t lie, I waited for you to reciprocate for a long time after situations tensed.” She seemed solemn, her ears flattened down low yet her demeanor at ease. Like a knot in her shoulders was finally coming undone. “That’s what I do, I wait for those who abandoned me. I waited for you. How pathetic of me wouldn’t you agree?”
“Then why didn’t you choose me.” You mumbled, your confidence lowering. You were here right now, standing beside her, while she was nowhere to be found. Even over the years when you didn’t talk, you still watched over her. She must’ve known… did she not?
You wanted to comfort her, but you felt like you couldn’t even lift a finger. A familiar wave of lethargy lingers over you. “You obviously don’t know the full story. I thought as much. Ei never trusted you enough and frankly, I don’t have the capacity to care” She teased a glowing purple chess piece in your face pulled from her pocket.
That was all you had to see as evidence that you were 500 years too late to reciprocate her feelings. Her confidence was just as wavering as yours as she didn’t even trust her own decisions, “all I have to do is focus for the one who entrusted me with Inazuma’s fate while she rests for eternity. That is my responsibility that I accepted willingly.”
Tumblr media
• Ningguang had a crush on you when she could afford silly things like childish crushes. Although she was poor, she was happy with you blissfully unaware of her feelings. However as life got more serious she had to mature, you were simply a distraction to the bigger plan at stake.
• Your falling out wasn’t the worst. You two just grew up and matured. Little did you know Ningguang intentionally avoided you, knowing contact with you would put a wrench in her bigger goals. But you just assumed it was one of those things that as people grow older they lose contact.
• Occasionally, you’d run into Ningguang. The Tianquan was surprisingly hard to avoid. Catching up like old friends, your bond never as strong as it was before. Frankly, you were happy it wasn’t, knowing how awkward it would be if your feelings lingered even if you were in denial.
Something felt awkward about that night. Something along the lines of the burning silence as you watched the multitude of stars occupy the night sky, Usually you two would be chatting up a storm, but the atmosphere called for silence. Ningguang leaned against one of the Jade Chamber's supports, her signature pipe in hand as she exhaled a smoke cloud.
You stared at her a bit too intently, almost creepily. Lost in thought as you always found smoking an ugly habit, but when it touched her lips you couldn't help but find yourself in a beautiful trance. "You know staring is rude," she broke the silence. The smell of clear air discomforting, amplifying your distance. "And yet I find you still staring at me."
She sighed deeply, you could tell something equally as heavy crowded her mind. "When we were kids..." a brief pause before she decided it was necessary, "I used to have the biggest crush on you." Your ears perked at her impulsive confession.
You stare blankly at her, words couldn’t describe how you felt at that moment. Happy she confirmed your delusions, or sad at her use of past tense. "I apologize for putting you in such an awkward position," She shook her head in frustration mixed with immediate regret. "I should've never admitted such a thing to you."
You stuttered over your voice, not saying anything specific. Just a sad desperate attempt to get your voice out so she wouldn't be so shameful. You wanted to scream that it was mutual, that it still is. Your pride holding you back- because archons forbid what if it wasn't how she felt today? "I care for you still and I think I will forever, that was my part of the contract… But how the future of Liyue is looking, my priorities are clear.”
Your face flushed red in embarrassment that you thought you even held a candle to her ambiance in this great nation’s future. Of course, she has responsibilities, something of bigger than you. “How unlike me huh? I mean acting without proper fruition. Why else would I confess other than setting my selfish mind at ease. ” Your worst fear reincarnated. “You don’t have to say a word. I’ll even answer for you, because realistically I never wanted you to reciprocate such feelings.”
Tumblr media
• When Mona had a crush on you she was still an apprentice under that old hag back in Fontaine. Her whole life was romanticized and she felt she ruled the world with you. However, when she found herself stuck in Mondstadt for an unknown time, she knew better than anyone that her feelings couldn’t carry over. She killed whatever she had felt for you.
• Your falling out was simple. You gave her one last tight hug before she left on her mission, expecting her to return within a month. But a month unknowingly turned to a year, a year without hearing anything from the astrologist.
• every night Mona would read your constellation in her scryglass. However two months after she settled down your fates quickly rerouted. For whatever reason you were no longer soulmates. She just as quickly betrayed you and found no reason to write to you as she prolonged her grudge against your dynamic fate without a proper reason.
You set out to meet Mona in Mondstadt from Fontaine, the locals worrying far too much for such a capable girl as herself. After you had your short reunion, you two stuck together like glue for the remainder of your stay. You seemed to mutually not address the animosity between you two despite it being the elephant in the room.
That was until your last day, however, your travel warrant expiring. “I’m gonna miss you when I leave Mona,” you said solemnly, going in for a tight but friendly hug as she walked you to the gate of Mondstadt. Mona being as affectionate as ever towards you and pressing her forehead against yours in return, her hand gripping the back of your head, intertwined between the locks of your hair.
“I’m not sure if I should admit this, but- when we were kids…” she seemed lost, biting her lip as her gaze trembled. “…I used to have the biggest crush on you.” Your head instinctually stumbled away from her hold in shock. Your hug still holding your bodies together like a vice.
“I’m sorry I waited so long to tell you,” she mumbled, the distance between you widening. You could tell from her tone of voice that she had already seen your constellations, and once she received an answer there was no changing her mind. “But you have to go back home. And it's my fate to stay here,” she sounded defeated.
She had so quickly forgotten that constellations read a forever-changing future, not emotions. Not once did you ever lose feelings for her. Yet her habit of jumping to conclusions had led to your doom. “I’ve had feelings for you for a long time too,” was all you could say in hopes you could change her mind. “I still do.”
While your pride crumbled, hers stood as stubborn as ever. You belong to Fontaine, while Mona was needed in Mondstadt for an unknown period of time. You both separated from your closely-knit hug. Your touch lingering on her loose hand. You couldn’t help but notice she never reaffirmed your feelings. The wound amplified as you knew it wasn’t reciprocated despite your courage.
“Right person wrong time as they say,” Mona said, her ears turning a bright red in embarrassment. She knew it was corny, but she needed something to break the silence.
Your gazes wouldn’t let each other go, but her words said otherwise. Yet you knew if she wanted you, she would’ve fought for your presence to remain. “Such silly expectations of mine huh? I’m sure in another life our constellations would’ve told a different story.”

Hey I'm so happy you're back for a while cuz your writings are amazing!! Are taking requests by any chance?
Yes my inbox is always open !
I might not get around to all of them but don’t be shy, I’m open to anything as long as it’s within my boundaries <3
I used to do each and every request when I first started writing, but I quickly found myself getting overwhelmed so I’ve limited myself to selective requests that got my brain juices going

Gardenia - the love of a friend who doesn’t want to just be friends
Characters: Raiden Shogun, Ayaka, Yoimiya x gn!reader
Warnings: none
Synopsis: Being in love with her but simultaneously wanting to protect the friendship you have with her
A/n: Ah I finally finished it ;-; prt 2 of 3 angsts !! Liyue girlies are next. I honestly wanted to make this sadder, but I still wanted to keep this short and sweet
As always- creds to @ghostly-march for her 600 Flowers for Hu Tao !!
Link to the event <3
Tumblr media
• The Raiden Shogun was just a puppet, not granting you any time of day under the rules of the creator. Ei, however, was overjoyed by your presence. Even though she would never show it, her plane of Euthymia would say otherwise.
• You realized you were in love when you began to actually look forward to meeting with an actual tyrant. Bringing her Dango milk just to see her smile, and howl with glee. Realizing she’s evolved and more complex than the puppet Inazuma was used to seeing.
• She remained blissfully unaware, and she would continue to stay that way. Her lack of understanding of human emotions and motivations helped deeply in masking your intentions. You’d be able to push through every day in a stagnant flow of being her eternal servant. You were content, as long as it was you who was by her side.
You lie your head in your Archon’s lap, staring up at her with loyal eyes as her cold hands rest on both of your cheeks. Although she was occupying nothing more than the body of a puppet, she could feel the life oozing from your skin. Immersed in curiosity as you clearly enjoyed her touch.
“Tell me- why is it that you are so obedient to me?” She asked you with a soft voice. “What drives your faith and devotion? And is this normal amongst humans of the modern-day? If so… why have I not crossed paths with anymore like you?” With a barrage of questions, you decided not to answer anyone specifically.
“My blood runs thicker than just allegiance to my Archon. My loyalty wouldn’t be given to just anyone with the gnosis. Only for you Raiden Ei.” You respond gently. As if your reply couldn’t be more straightforward, anyone in the right mind would know this was more than a platonic response. However, the Shogun didn’t understand your words.
“Then… what is it about me that is so mesmerizing to you?” She had an innocent yet puzzled expression. Her eyes gazed down at you with anticipation, your frustration blowing up as you looked up at what you dreamed of for so long.
You felt endlessly irritated at her distance from you. Constantly reimbursing her statements with friendly comments. Your gaze seemed to reach her, looking shy as she always saw herself as less than compared to her sister Makato. Even if you had never met her charming sister, she still felt as if she was nothing more than a weapon for Inazuma, unworthy of your admiration. “I am one who is stubborn and only knows how to wield a blade… so I cannot so easily tell what draws your loyalty,” she admitted guiltily.
“You are one who chases eternity, isn’t it only suiting to have a companion like me to accompany you for all of my eternity?” You countered her self loathing.
She bit her lip like your statement caught her tongue. Trying to find the right words before sighing and giving you the bread crumbs that kept you by her side. “Who am I to deny such a mortal honor- you are one who will stay by my side for all eternity as long as you wish.”
All you could do was remain quiet at her words and swallow your self-respect. Ignoring your feelings for your God as if it didn’t exist at all, pretending like everything was fine, it was your specialty after all. You would be constantly reminded of your place in her life, nothing more than a friend.
Tumblr media
• You, like many others, adored Ayaka. Her charming silence, so unobtainable, like a treasure hidden behind the walls of the Kamisato Estate. She was like a mystery to solve, her heart a prize.
• You never realized your love for your friend Ayaka. Ayato did though, pulling you aside one night before you got too close for his comfort. His beloved little sister would not be courted by your hands. In his eyes, you were unfit to be by her side.
• Ayato made for certain that you would not confess to Ayaka. Berating you, promising you that Ayaka would never reciprocate the feelings of a peasant like you. That snake of a man guilt-tripped you, after all, she was his only family left in the world. He felt a strong sense to protect her from brutes like you.
You stood in a crowd with your princess, you had promised to take her to a festival one day under the condition that she disguised herself from everyone. She wore a cheap ugly oni mask you had purchased a day before from a street vendor, her robes tattered and poor to hide her vast wealth. The event was to listen to your deity’s familiar give a speech before her subordinates to begin the festival, a sea of people pushing your bodies impossibly close. “I’m thrilled we escaped brother today, I wouldn’t have wanted to spend this year with him again,” Ayaka said with a hidden goofy smile. “He can be so uptight sometimes, you know what I’m talking about right?”
A random jolt of bodies clashing against Ayaka, the trauma causing the mask strings to become loose. The mask threatened to fall from her face if it weren’t for your reflexes pressing her mask to her face. You firmly palmed the mask against her face, “I’m sorry,” you whispered to her anxiously, holding her body close to yours to protect her.
She must’ve felt the awkward tension from your anxiety. “N-no need,” she stuttered. “I am the one who got myself in such a situation. Thank you for sparing my identity.” She still allowed your hand to stay on her face, the thin plastic mask the only thing separating you from feeling her soft cheek, her warm breath.
At the end of the day, no matter how ugly she looked in such attire, you looked at her as if she were the most beautiful girl in the world. Staring at her with such intensity, you would never see the deep blush spreading across her face. The crowd noises drowned out whenever you looked into her pale blue eyes from the holes of the mask.
Something must’ve corrupted your soul, thirsty for more than the relationship you had with her now. The unsatisfied feeling leaves you parched. That was until she stood on her tippy toes, pressing a “kiss” to your forehead with her mask still on. You couldn’t feel her soft lips press against your skin, but instead the hard cold shell of distance. “Thank you for protecting me my hero,” She whispered back to you. “I can only pray for someone as precious as you will never leave my side,” she rested against your chest, her hands curled into a ball, clenching the fabric of your shirt.
Your eyes lit up at her words, looking at the star-covered night sky. You knew if you dared to look down at her, you’d fall even deeper for her words of affirmation. “As long as I have you as a friend, I won’t need anyone else,” her words stung like needles.
You were drunk off the dopamine of being her one and only. But what stopped your princess from meeting someone one day who would replace your seniority? Your eyes glazed over at the thought, accepting your fate as it was instead of arguing. You would remain content as just a friend without any further complaints.
Tumblr media
• You didn’t know what specifically attracted you to Yoimiya, maybe it was her childlike innocence. Maybe it was how considerate she was to her father. Maybe it was her passion for fireworks. Maybe it was her affinity for fairytales and stories.
• You didn’t realize your feelings for your best friend until someone threatened your position. Speaking highly of Yoimiya and how brilliantly beautiful she was, it made you feel unjustly jealous. But jealous over what? You didn’t own her affections.
• Yoimiya was very socially literate. She was able to read moods quickly and efficiently, making any room she occupied a party. Yet she could never read you, maybe it was a good thing after all. Her not realizing your feelings made things easier for your pride.
Yoimiya held a sparkler in her hand, panting like a dog as she tried to catch her breath. “Look-,” she told you, still gasping for air. “I fought for this sparkler, I could only get one but we can enjoy it together.” A big smile on her face of accomplishment. You looked at the unlit sparkler in her hand, then briefly at her affectionately, then back at the sparkler. Fearing if you were too obvious with your feelings, she’d see right through you.
In the grand scheme of things, you felt so incredibly small in comparison to Yoimiya. Her radiant smile made all those wishing they were sharing a sparkler with a ray of sunshine like her. She took your hands, wrapping them around the sparkler as she used her vision like a flint and steel. Igniting the sparkles in the night sky, the light illuminating an isolating circle between you two. Her warmth as she placed her own hands around yours. “Neat isn’t it?” She asked you with a grin.
You slowly nodded, mesmerized by the sparks. “You know…” she said before pausing shortly. “You know there’s an old folktale. They say if you share a sparkler with someone then you’ll be together forever.” Her eyes fixated on the draining light, your gaze drifting to Yoimiya’s amber-colored eyes.
“Is that so?” You asked her. Just like many times before, you were confident this was some made-up story she had fabricated to fill awkward holes of silence between you two. Earning a light giggle from her, her face serious at what she was about to say.
“If what they say is true- I wouldn’t rather share this moment with anybody else.” She said gently. “Beyond our friendship, I feel there lies more. You’re like my soulmate you know?” She said with confidence.
As the sparkler’s life faded, so did Yoimiya’s mood, the light in her words draining. Her words no longer minced with sweet affections, “Although it’s probably just my silly imagination, huh?” she let out a massive sigh. “If anything you’re more like my sibling, such a weird thought right? I’m sorry if I made you feel comfortable at all.”
Your grip along the metal stick tightened together, irritated by your own overwhelming lack of courage. She must’ve felt your frustration through your connected hands. If only you could burst out of your comfort zone and tell her she was wrong. To confess to her that sharing this sparkler with you wasn’t something meant to be platonic. Yet your mouth was glued shut. Your position as her friend wasn’t something you were allowed to question nor ready to gamble on just yet.

How are you enjoying Sumeru so far I won’t spoil anything
Ahh thank you for asking <3 I honestly love it so far, my favorite thing has to be the music. Every now and then during the archon quest the climax plays and I feel so euphoric
As for the story I’m super impressed. I love the new characters and the development. Sometimes it gets confusing and I kinda miss the adrenaline rush Inazuma gave me, but I like that they’re pacing the story this time instead of speeding through it despite how long the quest is.
The characters I’m in love with although i do wish they were darker in skin tone. I understand Hoyoverse is a Chinese company but I’ve seen many fan adaptations to show accurate representation and I can’t help but to feel like they blew it in some areas.

Clovenlip Toadflax - love unrequited
Characters: Rosaria, Eula, Jean x gn!reader
Warnings: none
Synopsis: the aftermath of your rejected confession
A/n: prt 1 of 3 of angst town >:) I was honestly surprised how fast I could write this and it felt like ol’times where I could write like 5 requests in a single day… ahhh the euphoria
Anywaysssss creds to @ghostly-march for her 600 flowers for Hu Tao event :)
Link to the event !!
Tumblr media
• Rosaria was like the thief in the night. She was the single shadow that protected Mondstadt in the night while the Knights of Favonius protected it under the safety of the sun. Her mysterious aura so entrancing, her sickly colored skin not appealing to most in Mondstadt, all but you who found her stunning.
• Your mind boggled as you tried everything in your power to court the woman. Struggling to find times that you both had available to even speak to her. Each time however was met with the coldness of her rejection. Your offer to buy her a free drink, take her out, inquires of a new scar appearing on her skin. You were given nothing but the cold shoulder.
• You wondered if she had anyone special in her life, any competition for her affection. But in reality, it had nothing to do with you, nothing to do with anyone else... just her. Romance just wasn’t something she was familiar with, nor would she allow herself to get familiarized with it.
The moon mocked your loneliness as you strolled through the streets of Mondstadt. It became a habit after seeking out Rosaria’s attention for the past month, the dimly light road leads to a tragic end to your unrequited feelings. As you passed the shining Angel’s Share, you heard the laughter of men and women as they drank their worries away. Tempted to enter and face Rosaria for another night.
You thought, maybe... just maybe if you were lucky she’d appear. She’d come for you, wanting your attention, your voice, your touch- wanting you. But you walked passed the closed door, staring at your feet as your eyes glazed over with tears that you wouldn’t dare let fall. Wandering into the dark alleyway between Angel’s Share and another home, falling as you clutched your knees between your chest in hopelessness. Cursing yourself for giving yourself false hope, the echoing laughter in the distance amplifying your small figure.
That was until you felt an icy cold hand grasp your shoulder, leaning its weight on you. Regardless of who it was, you cowered into your arms, embarrassed that anyone followed you into this corner just to see you look so pathetic. “This isn’t like you at all,” a dark feminine voice told you. Rosaria was all you thought.
Looking up at the woman without hesitation, it was the face you needed to see above anyone else. But the same face that would make you linger on these hopeless feelings. With a cigarette in her hand as she puffed a playful cloud of smoke in your face, a fuchsia-colored flush on her face, you knew she was drunk. “C’mon, it’s a total mood killer to see you so down in the dumps,” she scoffed.
You could tell she was just trying to cheer you up, but she knew exactly why you were feeling such a way. Beating around the bush so that she wouldn’t have to reject you a second time. She brought her cigar to your mouth, offering you a puff. The direct boldness and thoughts of an indirect kiss making you blush. It was obvious you still felt so much for her. “Don’t get your hopes up kid,” she told you straight. “You’re important to me… but not in any sort of way to celebrate.”
You knew if you inhaled from her fingers, it would be like signing a contract with the devil. Your little crush would turn into a bad habit. You turned away from her offering hands, “Very well,” she praised you in a sultry voice. “I was afraid if you accepted- I might have had to cut you off for good.”
Tumblr media
• Eula was the thorns of Mondstadt. Her rich aristocratic background makes her privileged in any way. Too bad it was the Lawrence clan… Many avoid her solely for her last name. You saw through her icy past, however.
• But you weren’t the only one to accept her for who she was. You weren’t the one who made her feel the warmest either. Cowering in the shadows of those who helped her advance socially, Amber who sat down with her every lunch. Jean who helped her rise in the ranks. What did you do besides follow her around?
• You saw how she protected Amber with her life, willing to take an avalanche for her. But for you she’d let you drown in the frozen snow, allow you to tumble down the mountainside. Your confession to her was nothing but a nuisance in her eyes.
“Pass me the salt,” you asked of Eula. Dining at Good Hunters like always whenever Amber was occupied. Of course, you were the second option, falling victim to your feelings once again. As she passed you the small shaker, her greedy touch lingered far too long.
Although it was touching your palm, your fingers wrapped around it, she ceased to let go. Looking at the clear glass shaker as if she were deep in thought. Her eyes hazed and lost, the guilt of leading you on like this consuming her even though she convinced herself this was a friendly get-together like always. “I apologize for making you meet me here like this,” she said with a quiet voice.
“What do you mean?” You asked innocently, knowing exactly what she meant. You just wanted to hear her give you a reason that you could justify in your head. A reason to not hang onto her like always, leaving your obligations with the drop of a hat when she calls your name. You two still held the shaker between your hands, like a metaphorical connection that you could never cross between your hands.
“You’re always so nice to me,” she said letting go of the salt shaker, finally allowing you to use it. “I would ask for your continued support, but I know I can’t. I can’t continue our friendship knowing you want more. At least not now…” she dropped a weight on your heart.
You were fine knowing you would at least be friends, how cruel to not even grant you that at least. But before you could speak up against her will, she spoke over you. “I know if you continue to be around me, the more I’ll be tempted to treat you like nothing happened,” she tried her best to look out for you. “Meet me in three months' due time, if I still mean the same to you then I’ll say my final goodbyes.”
She gripped her thighs, making it hurt her physically as well as mentally to let go of a friend as valuable as you, almost like she was punishing herself. “I can’t exact my revenge when I know I’m hurting someone else in the process, please allow me this at least.”
Tumblr media
• everyone loved Jean. Quite literally, everyone, not a single soul dared disagree that she was the most reliable, beautiful, and the indisputable role model of Mondstadt. You were just a pair of eyes staring at her, building an impossible wall of expectations to climb. High off the idea of being important to such an esteemed figure.
• Jean might’ve considered you romantically if you were just a little more observant and honest with yourself. Whenever you talked with her, looked at her, or touched her, she felt like she was invisible. Like you were only staring at the Dandelion Knight, rather than the very flawed Jean Gunnhildr. You idolized her far too much for her to feel like she would find an equal soulmate in you.
• You tried everything to convince her that your feelings were real, not just a fraud. But every time you’d run circles, invalidating her feelings, in denial that you were rejected for such a reason. It might’ve been a trauma response on Jean’s half, But no means no- it didn’t matter how stubborn you were to prove yourself to her.
Ever since you had spilled your heart out to Jean, she had been treating you differently. Avoiding your eyes in crowds when she used to so brightly flash a warm smile at you, walking right passed you in the halls of the Knight’s Headquarters. You felt invisible, growing fed up with such avoidant behavior.
As soon as she passed you with papers in hand, not even glancing at you, you fought with yourself to reach out. “Jean…” you called out to her spontaneously, your hand grasping her wrist. “Did I do something wrong?” You asked her desperately.
“No, absolutely nothing is wrong,” she said shortly. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to process some paperwork. I’m a busy person as you know.” She was ready to take off, and leave you with her cryptic response that you’d be tearing apart later that night while you were trying to sleep. But your grip was still on her, loose enough for her to break free if she so pleased, but her ties and friendship kept her stationary. Your hesitation to let her go brought her to the conclusion of how childish she was behaving.
“Honestly, I struggle to find the words to speak to you right now,” she told you warmer than before. “I care deeply for you as a friend, and I want to help you as much as possible. But I can’t help you when I’m the source of your behavior.”
She stayed in your hold, not trying to wiggle out of your grasp like you were the plague like before. Allowing you to touch her still brings a lump to your throat. You wanted to hug her like always, be close to her in any way possible. “Tell me this… if I stay as close to you, will you ever find peace? If I enable you further, will you move on from me?”
“Yes-,” You opened your mouth, confident to say yes for your own selfish needs.
“The correct answer is no.” She finished for you. “I can tell even now by just looking into your eyes what you want from me, and it’s something I can’t give you. The boundaries between us will never be what you want, please accept that, or I will continue to greet you with a cold shoulder until you begin to despise me.”

Hey, may I request Ganyu and Shenhe (seperate) reacting to reader Meeting Cloud retainer and her just starting to rmble about all kinds of stories?
I hope you are doing fine and have a good day/night!
Cloud Retainer Exposing Her Childhood Stories
Characters: Ganyu, Shenhe x gn!reader
Warnings: None
A/n: I’ve been waiting for a request like this 🥺 Making little headcanons of Cloud Retainer being like a mom to them is adorable
Tumblr media
• That senile bird always had mountains of stories about Ganyu’s childhood, it was the only way Cloud Retainer knew how to bond with you. Your conversations would consist of how the woman was doing and how she was faing outside of Mt. Aocang.
• Occassionally during prolonged silence between you and the bird, she’d go on and on about Ganyu’s childhood. It was almost as if Cloud Retainer had no concept of embarrassment for others, or at the very least didn’t care for it. She would try her best to avoid stories of such after being told off once by Ganyu in the past.
• Your favorite story Cloud Retainer told was when Ganyu was so plump she simply rolled down the mountainside, unable to stop herself till she reached the bottom. Ganyu being ages older than you, Cloud Retainer’s stories were the only way for you to imagine what she was like in her youth.
It was rare when Cloud Retainer visited Liyue on her own, if she was there it was either to check up on Ganyu or for adeptal matters. This time was no different than the rest, all three of you having tea together. However, the moment Ganyu excused herself the bird’s head whipped to you, ready to embarrass her student. “One would expect you enjoy partaking in tales of Ganyu’s youth still?”
With sweat dripping down your forehead you nod anxiously, “Then one shall relay you her secrets,” You couldn’t help but notice the joyful gleam Cloud Retainer had whenever she reminisced about the past, almost like a proud mother. “Does Ganyu ever allow you to pet her horns?” she inquired.
You shook your head no, “Little Ganyu used to adore when one would caress her horns, shame she grew out of it. One would be pestered before bed to touch her horns, otherwise, she would reject sleep hehe,” The amusement on the bird was undoubtably entertaining, not being able to see her react such a way in any other sense.
That was until the beam from Cloud Retainer dropped, a stoic face as you wondered what could be the reason for her story ceasing. “Cloud Re-tai-ner!” Ganyu stood behind you like an overwhelming shadow, her fists balled up as she angrily overheard the story.
Just as ready as she was to stomp around in a fit, she just as quickly calmed herself. Irritated yet unbothered, her sigh of frustration very audible. “Forget about it,” she said shaking her head to shake off her anger. The tension makes the bird feel a pang of awkward guilt. “We’re going to take our leave now Cloud Retainer.”
Ganyu took you by the wrist, dragging you into some unknown location away from her old caretaker. A blush on Ganyu’s face as she looked downcast, “So- um...” you could only see her glance at you from behind, “What did she end up telling you?” She shyly asked.
Tumblr media
• Shenhe owed the Adepti a great ordeal after taking her in as a young girl, especially Cloud Retainer. Although they share nothing but a mentor-to-student relationship, the few interactions that you witnessed had shown you otherwise.
• The bird would frequently visit Liyue Harbor when Shenhe decided to reside there every so often. You’d sometimes see her shadow from a distance as you two mingled, checking up on her student like a worried mother when their child has been swept away from them.
• Although Shenhe swore that Cloud Retainer was nothing but her master, the bird had practically raised her once she was forsaken by her father. That meant Cloud Retainer had bountiful stories of Shenhe as a small girl.
As Shenhe left the scene to use the restroom you swear you saw a red glint in Cloud Retainer’s eyes. “One is eager to find out how Shenhe is conducting herself in Liyue Harbor,” the bird inquired. You assume Shenhe didn’t speak much to the bird about her stayings with humans.
“Shenhe had always been quite independent, even at a tender age she was able to fend for herself against curses and gods of calamity,” Cloud Retainer went on and on about Shenhe and her many concerns for the young maiden. Almost as if she was dreading the day she separated from the realm of the Adepti. “As Shenhe was homeless, one sought to adopt her. Ever since, one has raised her to be the woman she is today.”
“One fears that the power of her binding red ropes may cause her to struggle to fit in modern-day Liyue. Her homicidal tendencies often drive her when she loses control,” You sat in awe listening to Cloud Retainer talk about Shenhe. Homicidal tendencies? The stories of Shenhe’s childhood terrified you, there was no happiness and no time for rest. At times you often wondered how she managed to survive on pure survival instinct.
“Regardless, One is glad you accepted Shenhe with open arms. Before she comes back, one may be excused. Relay to Shenhe that One bids her a farewell.” As soon as the bird had arrived, the quicker she fled the scene. You felt Shenhe’s looming shadow behind you, looking back to see her standing directly behind you.
“I take it my master had relayed some of my childhood to you,” you stared at her blankly, wondering if she would’ve taken it harshly if you had told her yes. “No worries, I’m not one to get so upset by ‘embarrassing’ stories of my youth,” she took the seat beside you with her arms and legs crossed.
An elegant glow from Shenhe as she sat in silence. “I’m far too old to be crying over spilled milk. Whatever my Master had told you- pay no attention to. You make me feel at home just by being yourself.”

Hello! May i request snatching a lollipop (that they alr put in their mouth 😋🤨) from Ei, Amber, Hu Tao, and Ayaka and then putting it in ur mouth IT'S BEEN ROTTING MY BRAIN FOR MONTHS I'M SORRY IF IT'S DISGUSTING OR U'RE WEIRDED OUT YOU CAN SKIP THI 😭😭😭😭 Have a great day/night!
Stealing a Lollipop from Her Mouth
Characters: Raiden Shogun, Amber, Hu Tao, Ayaka x gn!reader
Warnings: none
A/n: No worries ! I was actually debating putting a scenerio similar to this in one of my other works but then I remembered I had this headcanon sitting in my inbox 😎
Tumblr media
• Ei probably got her lollipop from a street vendor selling candy, five mora for a single lollipop what a steal. Except that she was broke, not even a single mora in sight because her attendants just dealt with all her financials, she was the Raiden Shogun after all. The street vendor probably pitied her and gave her one out of the goodness of his heart.
• Ei was slightly possessive over her sweets, it would probably piss her off if you stole her lollipop no matter how embarrassing the situation is. Especially since the Plane of Euthymia lacked any opportunity for flavor. She might act like it didn’t bother her, but she very much minded.
Ei must’ve pranced around the marketplace with a lollipop in her mouth for a while, her new favorite pastime was harassing the street vendors for free handouts. Watching her with a stern look as she stared back as if she had no thoughts in her head. “Ei where did you get that?” you asked her. “You know it’s bad to steal.”
She huffed, “I am the Shogun am I not? Enjoying a small leisurely sweet from a generous vendor won’t put their business in jeopordy,” she tried to rationalize her actions, the white stick standing proudly in her mouth. That was until you crept up, snatching the stick from her mouth with little to no resistance, a string of saliva connecting from her lips.
Knowing she’d take it back in an instant you placed the ball on your tongue right in front of her. Sucking on the lollipop with a grip that would require her to rip your front teeth out in order to obtain. A disrespected look on her face, “that is quite dirty of you,” she commented with a scowl on her face. “Now I can’t finish it.”
Side-eyeing you, she had a light blush on her face from your courage. “You know I’m a generous person, if you wanted one I could’ve gotten an extra for you as well,” she justified your actions in any way possible. Trying to put the puzzle pieces together, maybe this was a romantic gesture in the modern era, or maybe you were just being cruel to her.
Her glare never left you with her lollipop. Even though it was painfully obvious she wanted it back, she’d never be able to admit it because it was shameful for her to throw a tantrum over a piece of candy. Although... if it was a romantic gesture, maybe she could pull a fast one on you sometime in the future.
Tumblr media
• Amber is super innocent, probably given a lollipop by a sweet granny who was handing out candy to children. You’d scold her that she shouldn’t accept gifts from strangers. She wouldn’t respond properly because she didn’t think anyone would want to poison her, especially old grannies.
• If you took Amber’s lollipop she’ll think it was a little weird, kind of like, “hey that was mine,” without a second thought of what you might do to it. She might reach out for it because of her competitive spirit, but she wouldn’t go to extensive lengths for a lollipop.
You had met with Amber mid-day just like always, this time she hopped around with a stick in her mouth. An inquisitive look on your face as she popped it from her mouth. The slimy ball was a bright pink color, “Bubble gum flavor!” she said in high spirits. Knowing her well enough she must’ve gotten it from a stranger.
“Where did you get it?” you asked her like a parent with a child carrying a knife. Amber returned with a pouting look knowing you’d scold her.
“Nobody,” she said with puckered lips like she was sucking on a lemon, trying to hide her lies. With raised eyebrows you took the lollipop from her proud hands, her reaching out lightly for her stolen item, her reaction time rather slow trying to figure out what you were doing.
“Don’t accept candy from strangers, it could be poisoned. Lollipops are especially easy to tamper with,” you told her. While maintaining eye contact with her, you plop the lollipop in your mouth. Amber’s mouth dropped as she watched you suck it up.
“Stop that,” she hissed, trying to grab it back forcibly. She was conflicted on whether she was feeling embarrassed because it seemed so easy to you, upset because you stole her lollipop, or flustered because of your casual boldness. “T-that’s dirty!” she tried to speak up, her stutters exposing her bashfulness.
“How so?” you asked. “Someone’s gotta check for poison, you could be dying as we speak.” You teased the young woman, her blush bright on her ears.
“hmph, so rude,” she sulked trying to be as serious as possible. Looking away from you with a heavy attitude she avoided your eye contact as much as possible, “T-that was an indirect kiss you dummy... and that doesn’t bother you one bit? You’re far too senseless for me to understand sometimes.”
Tumblr media
• Hu Tao probably got a lollipop from Zhongli, that dusty old man doesn’t relish in sweets. He probably had a drawer dedicated to sweets for children like Hu Tao to distract them from disturbing him while he completed his work. Hu Tao would accept his bribe with pride.
• Hu Tao wouldn’t care if you stole her lollipop, it’s just a lollipop. She might pretend she does to get a reaction out of you however, some sort of attention. She’ll joke around and might try and guilt trip you thinking it was all just a joke.
Hu Tao skipped into your room with a stick in her mouth, “Look look,” she exclaimed pointing your attention at the white stick in her mouth. “Zhongli gave it to me, he said in exchange for me to leave him alone for the afternoon he’d give me some candy,” she said proudly with her nose pointed to the sky. She was in such a nifty mood you thought it’d be a shame to ruin it.
But alas she began bothering you in return, with nowhere to go and no work that needs tending to she just had to annoy you. Although the lollipop kept her busy, the slobbering and sucking noises she made were all too distracting. When she pulled the candy ball from her mouth to wipe her lips you caught her with her guard down.
Quickly you stole the ball straight from her hands while she was still holding it, yoinking it from her grip with your jaw. A layer of saliva from Hu Tao masking the taste of blueberry. A bright blush on the director’s face, “Aya!” she shouted at you. “T-that was very uncalled for,” she said with an audible hmph. Despite her outward annoyance, a smile rests on her face with a wink kept hidden from your sight.
You didn’t react much, your eyes still glued to your work as Hu Tao stood above you with her arms folded. Her hand extended to you, “Well?” she asked you. “Are you going to give it back?” Trying to get any reaction from you other than your stone wall.
“Wouldn’t it be better for me to keep onto it? It’s dirty to eat from what others’ mouths have touched already,” you told her simply.
“You’re one to talk,” she sat beside you with a fake pout. Now she was candy-less and bored. Her plan to tease you backfired as her mind traveled to dirtier places once she had thought deeper about your actions. “Enough is enough, I’m going to go bother Zhongli for another,” she stood up quickly, excusing herself from your room even faster.
Tumblr media
• Ayaka got a lollipop from Ayato, it was a strange flavor, almost like it was made to prank people. She accepted it out of the kindness of her heart. The flavor was strange even for her, but she wouldn’t mention anything, fearing it would be rude to insult a gift.
• If you took her lollipop she might be surprised at your boldness at first. It might upset her if it tasted good, but because it tasted like sea salt fish she wouldn’t complain. She might even feel worse for you, or try and stop you from taking it to spare you from the taste.
Ayaka continued her day with pursed lips and a stick hanging from her mouth. Her eyes squeezed at one point as she gripped her skirt with both fists to bare the horrid taste. The girl made you giggle as you placed a hand atop her soft hair, “You know you don’t have to finish it if you don’t like it?” you told her. Regardless of your words of comfort, she felt it was necessary.
Reaching out to grab the white stick as you yonked the slimy ball from her mouth. Her tongue out like a panting dog with a scowl on her face. “Yuck,” she said quietly to hide her true feelings. As disgusting as she found it, she had an equal amount of determination to finish it. “Give it back, please. It was a gift from my brother,” she insisted, her hand held out expecting it back. Looking at her disappointed, you thought to yourself that it couldn’t be that bad.
While maintaining eye contact with her, you put the lollipop in your mouth. Ayaka’s mouth dropped as she watched you suck it up like it was light work, this is all for love, you thought to bear Ayaka’s pain. She had stars in her eyes, glimmering and shining like you were her hero. Her front of honor dropped once it touched your tongue.
You had forgotten that she could be rather frivolous at times. Biting her lip as her eyebrows knitted together and a blush spread throughout her face, trying to formulate a combination of words to express her feelings. “T-thank you,” she said with her entire chest, equally as much she tried to regain her composure as the Shirasagi Himegimi even at a moment like this. “You didn’t need to do that however, I could’ve handled it perfectly fine.” She was still stubborn as ever.
Her eyes spinning realizing that you had so boldly taken a lollipop from her mouth, such an action could be interpretted as an indirect kiss, she remembers reading from a romance novel. “As embarrassing as that was, I couldn’t imagine sharing a moment like that with anyone else,” she said blowing the situation out of proportion, thinking you meant it solely as a romantic gesture. However, you thought nothing of the interaction, so neither should she.

Yae Miko Keeping The Reader From Getting Out Of Bed
Tumblr media
Character: Yae Miko x F!Reader.
Warnings: None! It’s 1k500 words of fluff <3
A/N: The request was, “Can I request (fem) reader and Miko waking up together and Miko is trying to keep the reader from getting outta bed?” Exploring Miko’s most intimate and needy personality was super fun. I hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You wake up to the sun already shining through the window, casting lazy shadows over the sheets above your body. You tilt your head and stare at your side, and you’re greeted with Yae Miko’s sleeping form. The sun rays drawing hazy shadows of light over her soft features, her light breathing and her expression completely relaxed. A sight to behold, really. You draw a gentle smile over your lips, and lean down to press a soft kiss to her pink hair. Miko doesn’t stirr, and you feel like trying your luck, so you lean in again and press your lips lightly against her cheek, then her nose.
Miko doesn’t seem to move an inch, but it’s already well in the morning, so you decide to head to the kitchen and have some breakfast ready for when she wakes up, and then head to work. You’re about to get up from your shared bed when you feel a tug on your shirt.
“And where do you think you’re going, little one?”
Looking down, you find Miko’s gaze. Her lilac eyes are sharp despite the drowsiness. You tilt your head and smile.

hi hi!! get ready for some tissues for ur issues. ooh okayok, 3am thoughts. so basically gn!reader is terminally ill but never tells the characters(Yae Miko, Keqing, Mona) then spends their last days with them doing all their favorite things, ignoring every concerned signs thrown at them until the very end they explain why they were companying them frequently at their fav places and then saying their final proper goodbyes. excited to see what my fav writer has up the sleeves now -😈
Keeping Your Terminal Illness from Her
Characters: Yae Miko, Keqing, Mona x gn!reader
Warnings: themes of death and sickness, mentions of blood
A/n: I just realized I forgot to add an authors note when I initially posted this ehe, so I’m editing it now :,)
I hope this is good though, I changed it so the reader didn’t necessarily straight up confess to dying cause I just felt edgy adding it in with my normal short headcanon
Tumblr media
• Your illness was fast and quick, it seemed like one day you contracted it and the next you find yourself coughing blood. In a similar manner, it felt like one day you had met your soulmate, Yae Miko, the next you were striped of a life with her.
• When the signs became more and more apparent and harder to hide you knew your time was coming. You wanted to hide yourself from her because you knew your life was too short to cry over spilled milk. Although you’d be a mere page in Miko’s 500+ year story, to you she was the entire book.
• You knew she was a busy woman, making a request that you wanted to have a little vacation time alone together doing her favorite things. It was rare to have even a day to yourselves, let alone multiple. You just wanted her to remember you fondly, and you wanted your last days to be full of her smiles and laughter.
Your eyes grew tired, feeling that you only had little more than a night left to live. Your sickness caught up to your optimism, it becoming too hard to mask as your skin turned pale and your eyes drooped low. The blood that you coughed up too frequently and staining your shirt. Miko would comment on it, “My dear, are you feeling okay? I’ve never seen you look so sickly.”
She was a smart fox, she knew you weren’t okay no matter what you said, and something was terribly wrong. “To be quite honest with you, these past couple of days I have been nothing but happy in your company. But you seem... You seemed like something was holding you back the entire time,” she tried to dig. The night stroll you two we’re taking had become spoiled. “The more you hide from me the harder it’ll be for me to continue to greet you with a smile.”
“Miko,” her sweet name was all you managed to say before you began to rethink your actions. A way to tell her without dropping a weight on her heart, you started to regret withholding such crucial information from her. “Will you accompany me to sleep tonight? I’ll be okay as long as I am by your side,” was all you managed to say. Although it could’ve been interpreted wrong, it was enough to get your point across.
Your words struck her, she felt uneasy from your sudden change of heart. “What are you implying right now?” she asked you, her ears drooping low to the ground. “You can sleep with me, you’ll wake up next to me like always. I’ll hold you all night like always if that’s what you wish. You will wake up and the first thing you’ll see is me, like always,” she tried to justify and make sense of what you were saying. If you denied her words right then and there, she would never recover. Trying to comfort her with unresponsive silence.
You knew her eternal loneliness ever since she was a small kitsune, being abandoned by Raiden Ei and Kitsune Saiguu alike. That night she helped you limp back home, she couldn’t sleep, staring at your body and ensuring your breath was constant. Sometime that night, she couldn’t recall, your body grew cold and she knew you had fled from the mortal plane.
Tumblr media
• Your illness was always a secret from Keqing, the moment you contracted it you decided all you wanted to do was to spend your remaining days with the Yuheng. You decided that even if your fever was over 100, and if your skin turned pale, you would fake a happy face to relieve her the stress of finding an impossible cure.
• You would carry your contract with yourself to the grave. Not saying a word until the last moments. Even though you admitted how annoying it was, you wanted to hear the young woman’s stern voice bossing you around. It would pain you to see her treat you nicely just because of your sickness. You wanted things to be stagnant in your memories.
• You didn’t particularly ask for a week off from Keqing, knowing her schedule would not allow it upon such short notice. But you knew how much she adored camping, begging her to let you join her on her next expedition. It was one thing to hide your sickness from her, but to succumb while she was absent from home would be too much pain for you to silently bare.
Your bones grew weaker and frail, it became visible that you were struggling to carry your weight. Keqing got upset with you at first, “You were the one who wanted to come on this trip, don’t tell me you’ve gotten weak on me,” she tried motivating you the only way she knew how to. That was until you dropped, your knees buckling from underneath you.
She waited for a moment or two for you to pick yourself up, realizing that wasn’t the case she rushed over. picking you up in her arms as she knelt, “Come on, there’s not much time left until the sun sets and we’re almost at the campsite.” that was until she realize the blood in your right palm, raising her own hand to your forehead to check your temperature. Now that she thought twice about it, your face was pale, and you were acting oddly strange.
“Are you sick? We’ll see Dr. Baizhu first thing in the morning,” She asked confused. “If you felt so bad we didn’t have to go sightseeing, we could’ve stayed near the tent, you need to communicate these things to me or I’ll never know,” her stern lectures comforted you regardless of your situation. You felt your eyes losing motivation to stay open, your life flashing before your eyes.
Debating whether you should tell her the truth you allowed Keqing to help you limp back to the site. Laying down by the firewood with a log supporting you, Keqing taking her place next to you as she cooked up some rice water. Glancing at you every now and then she took note of how sleepy you looked. “You need to stay awake and eat or you’ll never recover your strength. I’m no doctor, but I can make some remedies with herbs,” you grew saddened at how focused she was on your recovery. “What’re your symptoms?” She asked.
“...Keqing, I love you,” you said with no context, ignoring her question. It somewhat creeped her out, making her feel uneasy. She couldn’t tell whether her emotions were caused because of how unwarranted your affection was, or because she got a bad feeling about how deathly you looked. She had no choice but to believe you’d be okay till you got to Liyue Harbor.
“I love you too,” was all she could say, a pit in her stomach as she focused on cooking. You never got to eat her cooking before the life drained from your body, your soul moving somewhere where Keqing wasn’t allowed to venture. Maybe it was cruel and selfish to Keqing, but it was too late to turn back time.
Tumblr media
• You couldn’t hide anything from Mona, full well knowing that she analyzed your constellation too frequently to miss a terminal illness. She would see your future in cryptic letters from the scryglass, and see how your path of stars ended far too short to be considered normal.
• She must’ve been waiting for you to tell her about your illness yourself, but you never did. She acted normal, but you could tell something was on her mind as if she had something lingering on her tongue but chose to bite it instead. So selfishly you wanted to live the remainder of your life without mention of your fate.
• When your illness began to swallow you whole, you asked Mona to join you for the next couple of days stargazing. Traveling to different hills of Mondstadt to see the stars from a different angle. She didn’t hesitate to accept your proposal, not because she loved stargazing, but because she knew from your constellation that you didn’t have much time left.
You felt a shortness of breath, and no motivation to get back up and fight your disease. Still trying to stare at the stars above you in the night sky from your blanket on the grass. Mona must’ve caught on, secretly reading your fate on her scryglass every moment she spent separate from you. Your star alignment giving her anxiety beyond measures.
She side-eyed you to make sure you were still with her, squatted down she hugged her knees closer to her body for stability, knowing if the stars were right you’d be leaving her tonight. She prayed fate would change, but she knew better than anybody else that what was written in the stars was permanent. She listened to your breathing patterns become irregular, her face white at your sickly appearance.
“I-,” she wanted to say something to you, but she didn’t know what to say. What does she say to her soulmate who will leave her at any minute? She didn’t have any last words prepared for you. She never had thought she’d need to think of such trivial words at such a young age.
“Mona Megistus, you are the most beautiful woman I’ve ever laid my eyes on,” You interjected, reaching out to place a hand on her bare back. Your cold touch warming her heart. You knew without her telling you, you could never hide anything from the genius astrologer. The burden of telling her this was your last day lifted from your shoulders. “Please don’t ever forget that.”
A blush on Mona’s face, “This is not the time to be flirting with me,” she said underneath her breath. Your words saddened her even more that she would never hear them again, “Knowing you love me will be enough for the rest of my life,” she averted her gaze from you, not being able to make eye contact with you in denial that you were leaving. Hoping that you’d reject her words and comfort her anxiety... but you never did.
Her eyes glazing over with tears, barely noticable in the night sky. Thinking if she could’ve done anything different to reverse your illness. Maybe it wouldn’t be too late to take you to the old hag and consult with her, or maybe if she had went behind your back and told the Knights of Favonius, or maybe even the church nuns would have a cure.
All these thoughts poured into her head when she already knew there was no other way. “Please don’t leave me,” she whispered as she reached for your hand, watching you with fondness despite your delicate look. Wiping a small trail of tears away from her cheeks, she decided to lay beside your sleeping breath. Her head resting on your chest as she listened to your slow heartbeat. Staying up all night while she waited for death inevitably to claim you, she wondered if she’d ever see you again.

Enemies to Lovers Prt. 4
Characters: Ningguang, Mona, Beidou x gn!reader
Warning: none
A/n: Yes yes, Its been so long since I’ve been able to write for such a classic trope. I lowkey made a little note document on future tropes I want to write for like academic rivals or “I hate everyone but you”, only time will tell when I’ll release it 😅

Tumblr media
• Ningguang disliked you because of your neglect of the rules she had established in Liyue. As the Tianquan the pile of fines you had to pay was absolutely unacceptable, she debated if she should ban you from Liyue altogether.
• You knew Ningguang disliked you because every time you saw her she’d loudly exclaim to get you out of her sight. It was clearly no secret, you didn’t have the opportunity to repair your reputation in her eyes.
• Ningguang’s turning point was when she happened to see you from Yujing Terrace getting along with all the children of Liyue. Despite your juvenile ways, the children loved you, giggling so loud that she could even hear them as you played pirate with them. Seeing a softer side of you that she’s never seen before.
• Ningguang was often too busy with work to ever witness such a scene of you playing with the children she loved so dearly. She’d find herself visiting the children more often, bringing them gifts, playing with them. They’d think Auntie Ningguang was oddly generous recently, but it was just so she might run into you one day.
Ningguang sat with the children at a small public table in Chihu Rock, she had brought the children freshly cut fruit and some juice today. They all giggled and laughed with glee whenever she made a rare appearance. Teaching them about things that children didn’t need to think about such as critical thinking and analytical skills. “Auntie Ningguang, can we play pirate today?” Zhizhi asked her.
That was until one of the children surrounding her saw a figure emerging from the horizon, Little Long’s eyes lighting up. The children rarely had adults heed any attention to them, but seeing two of their favorite adults gather in one place to play games with them? It was like a dream come true. “Auntie Ningguang, look!” Little Long shouted, bringing attention to you.
Even after her awakening from your reputation, she still got quite irritated when she saw you, a smile on her face with a vein popping from her forehead. “You’ve been visiting the children frequently I heard,” you commented to start small talk with the pretty lady sitting at the table. You’ve never had a civil conversation with her, this was all for the sake of the children.
“Auntie Ningguang, forget pirates. I want to play house now!” Zhizhi proclaimed, “We can be the children and... you guys the parents,” Ningguang’s lips pursing in frustration. She just couldn’t say no, if she did it would raise suspicion and spoil the day.
You side-eyed Ningguang, a smug look on your face as you found this whole situation amusing. “Auntie Ningguang, huh?” you mocked her status among the children. You’d never think small children would speak so freely to the scary and oh-so-powerful Tianquan.
“Don’t you dare speak my name so casually,” She murmured to you with her teeth grinding and a fake smile on her face. You couldn’t help but notice her ears turning red in embarrassment, knowing her whole front was just a facade. She wanted to run away, reject the idea of interacting with you, but something about this whole situation made her heart flutter. You two as parents playing with ‘your’ children. She would never say, but a thought like that left a sweet taste on her tongue.
Tumblr media
• Mona disliked you because of your distrust in astrology. You had seen hard evidence of its legitimacy but you still had your doubts, refusing Mona’s hydromancy even if it was all just to help you.
• You knew Mona disliked you because she no longer reached out a helping hand whenever you were in a sticky situation. In the past, she’d at least try, but after all your rejections she had given up on you completely.
• Mona’s turning point was when she saw the divination of you in the constellations, curious she looked into what the stars had to say about your legacy. Realizing the reasons behind your mistrust and seeing deeper than your stone wall of a personality.
• Mona would randomly start making frequent appearances in your life again, she had a subconscious urge to change your view on astrology and hydromancy as a whole. She thought it was because it would be her biggest pride to change an opinion on her favorite subjects, but in reality, it was because she wanted to impress you in the only way she knew how to.
Mona snatched her coin purse full of 500 mora at max, it wasn’t her hydromancy, but something told her to go to Good Hunter immediately. Her peach fuzz tingled at the feeling, hoping she’d run into you on her way out. It was like instinct, seeing you scramble your pouch for spare mora as Sara patiently waited with a chicken-mushroom skewer in hand.
This was her time to shine, to pay for your meal. Without hesitation she placed the 450 mora on the wooden counter, her sudden appearance shocking you. “I’ll spot you just this once,” she said with her nose held high in superiority. Your eye twitched at her in a mixture of irritation and confusion. She returned your stare with equal disgust, “So are you going to thank me? I could tell you were broke from a mile away... quite literally too.”
Observing her cocky smile you rejected her advancements. “I don’t remember asking for your help,” you replied solely knowing it would piss her off. If it were anyone else you would’ve shown more mannerisms, but for Mona, you gave her special treatment. Her fist clenching at such a disrespectful response.
“Listen I could’ve left you scrounging for mora but instead out of the goodness of my heart I decided to pay for your meal,” she huffed and puffed. “The least you could do is thank me hmm?” she waited for some respect as you stood debating if you should play along with her little game.
“Thank you, Mona,” you said with little sincerity, yet the words alone must’ve struck something inside her. Leaning closer to you, lending her ear with a hand around the lobe to signal you to say it again. “Thank you, Mona,” you said again.
“Once more,” she requested  with pride.
“Thank you... Mona,” you said hesitantly, a light blush on your face.
“I want to hear you say my name more often from now on,” she said triumphantly. “it suits you well,” she poked your chest before walking away smoothly. Her hips swaying goodbye to you. Her face glowed a bright shade of pink from the embarrassment of her sudden boldness.
Tumblr media
 • Beidou disliked you because her crew did. Her life was the Crux, if you didn’t have her crew’s approval, you’d never have hers either. She’d hear all kinds of mysterious and nasty rumors of your actions from them, making you an enemy in her books.
• You knew Beidou disliked you because she was never friendly with you in the first place. Beidou gave everyone a chance, the fugitive from Inazuma, the cook from Wanmin, the rock and roll girl with funny pigtails. Even the secretary of the Liyue Qixing who despised her. Everyone but you.
• Beidou’s turning point was when she had actually tried to have a conversation with you, although it was forced due to close proximity. After she had listened to what you had to say she realized her crew’s prejudice and her unjust reliance on it. Realizing you weren’t too bad regardless of your poor reputation.
• Beidou lived by the saying, go big or go home, she’d invite you on her voyages whenever she was about to set sail from Liyue Harbor. If you rejected she’d come back with souvenirs and gifts alike to shower you with. Every departure she’d rinse and repeat.
You don’t know what possessed Beidou recently, hearing rumors that the Crux would be returning home soon. That was your signal to stay home and only go out when absolutely necessary like there was a fast-spreading plague. That was until you were caught red-handed by the captain herself shopping for your weekly groceries. “I didn’t think I’d find you here,” you heard the masculine voice. “Have you been really avoiding me?” she cut straight to the chase with no shame.
Looking up from analyzing the best vegetables on the stand you saw her signature brunette hair and her maroon-colored eye. You looked around at your surroundings as if she was talking to someone else, only to ignore her words and look back at the vegetables. “I know you heard me,” she said placing a firm hand on the wooden crate in front of you to get your attention.
You sighed hoping one day she’d get the hint. “Excuse me,” you tried to pardon yourself. Beidou was not willing to relent.
“Say, if you join me on my next expedition I’ll take you around the world. Don’t you wanna see Inazuma? How about the outskirts of Mondstadt, I’ll even take you to the Golden Archipelago for a little beach trip,” she tried to incentivize you. A concerned look on your face as you gave her only one second of your full attention.
“Beidou you know your crew doesn’t like me,” you told her simple and clean. That was the only reason you needed to give her to remind her of why your relationship couldn’t extend further than strangers. You were willing to give her that title at least, it was better than enemies.
Beidou gave a little pout as she remembered her public restraints, not wanting to cause you any more trouble than she already has in the past. “Fine, I got you some souvenirs at least. Let me give them to you, I’ll sneak into your house late at night and then we can talk freely then,” she tried to bargain.
You gave her a similar look like she was a puppy trying to convince you to give her a couple of more treats. You knew if she crossed a boundary it would be hard to ever return, she made it very hard on you to say no. Sighing once more, “Do whatever you want Beidou, I won’t try and stop you anymore.” Her face lighting up at your words in excitement.

• Jean is the overworked class president. You’d watch her from the back seat being trudged through the mud by your lazy excuse of a teacher.  “Jean, can you collect the homework?” “Jean dear, can you check up on your classmate?” “Jean, can you carry this to my office for me?” You made yourself a recurring figure in her life by helping her out every now and then.
• Your friends grew tired of watching you carry a burden without any merit. Sure you were a helping hand, but nothing more to Jean from their eyes. Every now and then you’d disappear before anyone else could to help the girl carry a huge pile of papers across the school.
• It was a struggle to get Jean to go to the party, she always had another excuse. Whether it was homework, afterschool circulars, or chores, it was a neverending pile of responsibilities for her. Your friends had to go so far as to make you yourself invite her while you were on one of your ‘missions’.
Jean arrived tired and worn from school and clubs, just wanting a couch to lie on or a chair to rest her eyes. The moment she walked through the door it was like you were waiting just for her, grabbing her arm with a big smile. “Jean!” You howled with a warm smile. A familiar face was just what she needed. “You kept your promise to me, I’m glad you could make it tonight.”
Your friends gave you specific directions, to grab Jean and meet them in the upstairs living room, where they had a surprise for you. So that was exactly what you did, so gullible. The moment you appeared they shoved you into a small closet barely big enough for a single person. Claiming they were going to play seven minutes in heaven, you two being the first test subjects as you seemed glued to the hip.
The room dimly lit as you rolled your eyes. Seriously locking the class president in the same room as you was the best idea they had? Jean looking mutually  awkward and nervous as she had never been in a situation as such. “Jean, will you forgive my friends for their rudeness,” you huff and puff. Your bodies connected from the front, her hands resting on your chest to create some space from your torsos.
As much as she hated the position you were forced into, Jean might’ve enjoyed it a little. The excitement of something that wasn’t getting a good grade or impressing her parents, the feeling of your bodies together, the rush of being a young girl for the first time. “No worries, I’m often told I need to calm down and take a break. Maybe these seven minutes will be beneficial to me after all.” She said calmly.
She had never noted before, so distracted by math problems and writing essays. But your lingering scent was nice, it was what she had smelled passing in the hallways before when you rushed to help her. It was grounding and comforting, almost as if it wasn’t there she’d feel anxious and regret even coming to this party. Maybe if you weren’t there for her she’d feel this constantly.
Her lips parted slightly and a blush on her face, her heart racing upon realization. She was a smart girl, knowing instantly this feeling wasn’t platonic, yet confessions certainly weren’t her thing. “I-,” she uttered. Before she regretted not taking a stab at you, she clenched her fists against your shirt, ready to speak up. “I don’t want to regret not saying this in the future and I may not be up to your standards, but- I may have taken a liking to you. Something more... more than just friendship.”
Tumblr media
• Yoimiya wasn’t particularly proactive in school circulars, but for a good reason. She was busy helping her father run the family business, helping light the night sky one firework at a time. Because of this, she had a keen eye for decoration, the student council would often go to her for her opinion on a school event decor. Her answer always leads to fireworks.
• Your friends grew tired of watching you butt into her affairs. Often at times fireworks grew costly and boring, she’d need a reliable person with more trust from the student council to advocate for her cause, you being her main victim. You’d beg the student council on her behalf, listing all the pros of the appearance of fireworks.
• It was fairly easy to get Yoimiya to the party. Partying, dancing, free food? It was all she needed to hear to get involved. She might even bring some cheap drug store fireworks and sparklers to liven up the night. You attending was just a perk for her because she’d know who to shadow around.
Yoimiya arrived with pure smiles on her face and sparklers in hand, the young woman popular among her classmates. As she made her way through the crowd she greeted many briefly, however she only had eyes for one target, you. Leaving a box of sparklers on the counter for others to grab like a party snack, carrying one so she could specially hand deliver it to you.
When she saw you from behind, her face lit up, smiling from ear to ear as she gave you a great big hug from behind. “I knew I could find you here,” she said loudly in your ear. Surprised you returned her affection with the same energy, a big fat smile on your face, your hands interlocking as you both stared at one another in content small talk.
That was until your friend snuck up behind you, asking you to join them for a little game. Yoimiya was invited too, following closely behind you as you were both dragged into a silent room yet dark room. It was like your life flashed before your eyes, being jammed into a cramped closet by a bunch of hands, Yoimiya joining closely behind you.
In a panic, you apologize deeply to her “I-I’m sorry,” you told her without knowing when you’d be able to be free from this cramped closet. Looking anywhere other than in her eyes, a bead of sweat dripping from your forehead, your hands by your side even if her body was pressed against yours. You felt like reaching out to hold her, to be closer to her, but your fear of rejection was too overwhelming.
Yoimiya’s social intelligence could see clearly through your awkward demeanor. Remembering in her pocket she had a sparkler just for you that she forgot to deliver. “Hey look,” she said softly, hoping it would distract you from this situation she lit it up, the small light gleaming in the dark and damp closet. Your eyes fixated on the burning stick in awe.
The lighting made the tensions high, instead of watching the sparks like normal, her eyes were focused on you only. Your cute eyes looking at the object in her hands, your lips slightly agape in surprise, your skin like glass. ‘What’s wrong with me,’ she thought to herself. She had a perfectly good distraction in her hand to avoid such awkward air, but.. she didn’t want to be distracted from you for some reason. For the first time, she wanted to focus on more than just the flames in the dark. “Has anyone told you how attractive you are?” she said so casually, unaware of her own words.
She normally just spoke from her mind without a second thought, but after saying such embarrassing words a bright red blush on her face was to be seen. “I-,” she was ready to apologize for mentioning such a brash topic, but on second thought she didn’t want to. Thinking this was a once in a lifetime opprotunity “I think you’re always the most attractive in the room, you know that right?” she said with confidence, hoping something more than friendship might ignite from her words.
Tumblr media
• Beidou is the classic bad girl stereotype. If she disappeared during lunch breaks she most likely went to go have a smoke in the bathroom that nobody went to. Sometimes you’d follow behind her, not to smoke, but to keep her company along with her gang of delinquents. She found it strange most times, you were like her little dog following her around.
• Your friends grew tired of watching you throw your reputation down the drain. The student council didn’t trust you anymore because the people you hung around associated with Beidou. They wouldn’t try and pry you two away, but maybe you could ‘change her’.
• It was easy to get Beidou to attend the party. It was a pain however, having to invite half of the school’s delinquents in order to convince her. They might as well have turned your friend’s house upside down, the smell of smoke and alcohol strong in the neighborhood streets.
Beidou arrived alone, half of her ‘crew’ already there in separate rooms doing whatever illegal activities. Her strong manly appearance scares most of the people away from the doorstep, all except you. The crowd cleared so you could make your way to greet her like a good puppy dog. “I see you’ve come just to greet me huh?” She asked, patting your head, a smoke already in her mouth seeing as she didn’t have to hide it in this environment.
It didn’t take long for her to put you in a headlock and drag you alongside her. If your friends didn’t know you liked her, they’d assume you’d be getting bullied. She glanced down at your stare fixated at her, the loud music pulsing through her mind causing a headache. “Hey, let’s get outta here? Take me to a room alone, this music is causing a migraine,” she let you wander free as she had you on a leash.
Asking your friend if there was a room vacant for your special friend, they led you to the closet, pushing both of you into the confined space. Not listening to a single word you said in objection. Your hands glued to your side in fear to touch her in a way that would get on her nerves, sweat dripping down your forehead. “I-I’m sorry Beidou, I know you don’t prefer to be this close to me,” you apologized anxiously
Despite the uncomfortable position, she couldn’t seem more okay with this, a sadistic look on her face. It almost seemed like she was the only one in this cramped space. “You seemed a little too troubled to be in this space with me? Do you hate me that much, sport?” She asked you with a toothy smile. Her hand wrapping around your head.
A scared look on your face as you trembled in her grip, she seemed to soak up your expressions. “Say- you always seem to follow me around don’t you? Would you do anything for me?” The lack of personal space gave her a confidence boost. “Would you even bark for me hmm?”
“You don’t think I’m a big bully, don’t you? It’s all in good fun,” the adrenaline pumping from her contact, you couldn’t reply properly to her questions. “I would hate to admit I enjoy this game between us too, I might even reward you if you keep up the good work,” a red glimmer in her eye as she seized a golden opportunity.
Tumblr media
• Sara was the teacher’s pet with straight As. Reminding the teacher of the homework last night and snitching on every juvenile delinquent in here premise. Secretly she was a big nerd, she had posters, body pillows, stuffed animals, and action figures of her idol the Raiden Shogun, her favorite cartoon. You were the only one who knew her secret.
• Your friends got tired of her stealing you from them on lunch breaks or after school when they made plans. Since you were the only one who knew her secret you were the only one she could confide in, she was normally very shy making it hard for her to interact with others.
• Your friends thought getting her to the party would’ve been hard, but it was surprisingly easy. Since Sara didn’t have much going on at home, her parents always working and focusing on her other siblings she was frequently lonely. When they told her you’d be attending it lit her world up that she’d be able to spend time with you.
Sara arrived with a smug yet uncomfortable look on her face, her arms folded as she searched through the crowd of eyes for you. With a panicked mind, she looked back down at her phone, “I texted them four minutes ago I was here,” she mumbled to herself, the sound of loud music drowning her out. Impatiently she huffed thinking she should’ve never even come.
“Looking for me?” she heard, she turned her head with wide eyes to see you with a smile on your face. It was like a dog who hadn’t seen its owner in months as you two went in for a mutual hug. “Let’s go somewhere quiet,” you whispered in her ear. A similar smile on your faces as you read each other’s minds.
Looking around for a vacant room you funneled your way into one, a small yet comfortable and quiet living space. She revealed in a small bag she carried she had her comics, a hobby like this was something she could only share with you without worries of judgment. That was until you heard the door screech open, without hesitation you shoved her into the small closet nearest to you knowing it would be bad news if someone discovered your little hobby. “I’m sorry,” you whispered to her silent as ever.
Your bodies pressed together, holding her waist in a tight hug, her arms glued to her side in awkward habit. You heard your friend’s voices, searching for you two, waiting for the coast to be cleared. “It’s okay I guess,” she told you, looking down at her feet she stood as still as a statue.
With time she was worried about the small things that she’s never thought twice about before. In times like this, she should be panicking about her little secret becoming public, but she was scared whether her perfume would be to your liking. If she looked good in such dark and dim lighting. If you thought she was fat because your hands on your waist felt her stomach roll. When the door shut and it was clear no one else was in the room she became irrationally agitated. “Stop holding me weirdo,” she ordered you aggressively when she became a little too conscience.
A shy look on her face as her teeth ground together, her ears a bright red when she realized her crush on you. “Recently you’ve been so irritating, I just don’t understand,” She bit her lip to punish herself for spitting such cold words to you. Mustering up all the courage she had before quickly giving you a peck on your lips, short but sweet. “Idiot,” With no clear destination in mind, she wasted no time running out of the closet to hide from your sight.
Tumblr media
• Yae Miko was the popular pretty girl who sold snacks during lunch breaks that the cafeteria didn’t have. She always made sure her hair and outfit were perfect even if it broke the dress code. You had an exclusive deal with her that if you bought her your mom’s fried tofu every day she’d give you a free snack.
• Your friends got tired of you bickering with your mother every week to make a batch of fried tofu every week all for the sly girl. You’d do anything for the smallest interaction or glimmer of attention from her even if she gave everyone else the exact same treatment.
• Getting Miko to the party was easy, they just bribed her with a large sum of money. Having close friends present or being lonely wasn’t a worry for her, she just saw it as a business investment. She might even bring a secret stash to sell to her peers.
The moment Miko walked through the doors she had girls and boys alike greeting her like a human magnet. In the back pocket of her jeans, she carried a small snack-sized candy bar she bought from the corner store, your favorite, just for you. A smug look on her face she tried to make her way to you, every conversation she struck up she asked if they had seen you.
Eventually, she was led to you, your presence making this little high school party seem so much more appealing to her. Running up to you with her hands covering your eyes from behind, “Guess who?” she played with you with no concern about who you were initially talking to. She wanted to steal your attention away, your eyes would only meet hers tonight.
That was until you were dragged from the wrist behind, a friend guiding you to another room with a “game” in mind. Miko could only roll her eyes as she followed you with her arms crossed. In return, when your friend was distracted she yanked you from behind into a small dark closet in the hallway, trying to hide from your friend’s invitation.
A superior grin on her face as you trembled in the cramped dark space. Before you could question her actions she put her finger to your lips. “Shh- you wouldn’t want them to find us hmm?” she whispered to you. She planned to stay in that closet until they gave up looking for you.
“Look I even brought you a special gift, I didn’t do this for anybody else you know,” To make light of the situation she pulled the small candy bar from her pocket, wiggling it in front of your face like you were a fish staring at a worm on a lure. Miko had always been flirty you thought as she insisted on feeding you, unwrapping the candy bar for you, making an airplane motion. “Say ahh~,”
When you bit down your lips grazed her fingers, sparking an emotion in her of excitement. “You know you have such soft lips, what’s your secret?” Reaching for another touch, her finger traced your lower lip, her hand gripping your chin for stability. Her face approached closer and closer as you braced yourself for an impending kiss from her. After a few moments with no feeling, you opened your eyes to a grinning Miko.
“Did you honestly think I was going to kiss you?” she giggled. “I mean, do you want me to...? I will.”

Seeing Your Future
Character: Mona x gn!reader
Prompt: Mona looking into her Scryglass to give you a divination, and sees a romantic future of you and her together
Warnings: none
A/n: After playing the new event I’m more obsessed with Mona then I’ve ever been. Ask-me-for-Directions-Arnold is frfr my twin. I also really liked the second puzzle story from Mona, the story of the adventurer offering her fruits, so I based it off a similar story <3
I also hope no one has done thought of this yet :,) I was a little late to completeing this event
Tumblr media
• Whenever Mona performed divinations she was often the deliverer of bad news. She couldn’t lie about the truth of astrology, her trauma stemming from the approval of others from her arts. Enjoying looking at people’s stars aligning in peace and tranquility while watching others burn and go off track.
• When she moved to Mondstadt it was initally to retrieve a box from Alice for her old hag of a mentor. She initially didn’t plan on performing any divinations for anyone in Mondstadt, but whenever someone did something nice for her, she couldn’t help but expose her hobby to them.
The stars didn’t predict you to come into her life, it was like fate, a random windy hill on Mondstadt almost identical to the rest. Stopping for the night for a bite to eat, the smell of roasted fruits and fresh herbal tea attracting Mona to your tiny campsite. The small woman approaching you from the horizon, obviously worn down and malnourished.
She had prepared a speech for you and was careful not to swallow her pride, “I smelled the smoke from down the hill, seeing as you have no company tonight, will you welcome me to eat with you?” It didn’t take much generosity from you to feed a starving stranger.
A clean wooden bowl of fruits and a cup of tea, she ate in almost an instant. “Drink the tea slowly, it’ll burn your throat,” you warned, breaking her from her hunger trance. Wiping her mouth from the sticky residue she crossed her legs and regained her composure.
“Of course, I knew that. I’m a genius after all, I don’t need you telling me such.” Stubborn as she was, you found her pride cute.
The night was long, watching the stars appear one by one, she couldn’t help but fill the silence with stories of her experiences. Slowly opening up to you word by word. Although you were silent in response she enjoyed your presence, figuring you were more of an active listener than a talker.
“I used to perform divinations out of the kindness of my heart, but now I no longer agree to do them so lightly. She glanced at you, your interest piqued, eyes glimmering like the stars. “Oh, jeez- you’re so easy to read even without my scryglass. Seeing as you were kind enough to share your food I imagine I can do one just for you.”
You sat in front of her diligently as she took a deep breath, opening her scryglass with an omnipotent look on her face. “Is there anything, in particular, you have in question about your future?” You gave her a questioning look, which she returned with a roll of her eyes. “You know? Like your love life, career, or physical health? Anything coming to mind?”
You were never particularly lucky in your love life, of all the years in your life, it was always seemingly downhill or stagnant. “I guess... I would like to see my future romantically,” you replied anxiously.
“Hmph, typical,” she huffed, a bored expression on her face as if it was a chore. Reading the illegible symbols on the translucent wheel her face began contorting. Her eyebrows knitting together, her eye twitching, her mouth agape in a queasy smile. “Impossible,” she mumbled.
“What?” You inquired. “What do you see?”
“This is absolutely preposterous. insanity I’m seeing right now, there must be something wrong,” She was in disbelief quickly closing her scryglass. Knowing whatever she saw was no mistake, fate was set in stone, not something you could change once written in the stars.
She gritted her teeth and audibly sighed, “Whatever- it says you’ll settle down within the walls of Mondstadt with someone,” the bland and even vaguer response told you that she was lying and completely unwilling to tell you the truth. Not wanting to argue with the woman who knew your future you complied, but not without noticing her ears turn a bright red in embarrassment. Her head flipped in the opposite direction, she adopted a shyer demeanour around you.
She’d never tell you, but what she saw in her scryglass was the scene of you two blissfully in love. It was better kept a secret in her opinion, she herself was not entirely ready for a relationship, but what was fate was bound to be. Reading her own divination was strictly forbidden, and speeding up the process of falling for you was not something she intended to do. “What a headache you’ll turn out to be hmm,” you heard her mumble from her breath.
