For the dragon rider AU - what does Robin think of Jason? Do they acknowledge the what-if that might have been? Or do they just not care overly much because Tim is their rider

Robin is horribly confused because on one hand, Tim is their rider. On the other hand, Robin recognizes Jason as important. Even unhatched, Robin and Jason shared a tentative bond.

And that tentative hatchling bond persists despite both of them having bonded with someone else 🐉

i actually feel so bad for tim after this last update to owl song 😔 i know it would be very far into the future but is there any hope of jason/dick reconciling with tim? (even tho i lowkey want to tim to escape to young justice and get himself out of this mess)

Ksks I love how many people are feeling for Tim, for me that means I managed to write good angst ✨

And, well, look at it this way:

Each Owl Song part is either from Dick or Jason‘s (or even Tim‘s) pov, which means the reader gets a first row seat into the inner workings of the character. Their fears, hopes, grievances… the whole nine yards!

But that way it’s also easy to forget that Jason… does not have that kind of insight.

WE know how much Bruce, Tim and Dick suffered in his absence. WE know what had to happen for Tim to even begin going out as Robin. WE know that Jason is haunting everyone‘s narrative like a ghost.

Jason, on the other hand, does not. His entire knowledge of what went down after his death is reliant on second hand information from shady people, and he‘s also heavily traumatized and running on all kinds of conflicting emotions and logic. None of it adds up if he cared to look deep enough, but, again—trauma and logic do not work well together at this stage.

As for Dick… I mean, he‘s been outsourcing his moral compass to Jason pretty much since they met. He was only just beginning to be his own person (to some degree) when Jason died. And now that he‘s got Jason back… offering to kill Tim is the least heinous thing he‘d be willing to do. :/

This is all ambiguous information I’ll admit, but the usual ideas of right/wrong/moral don’t really apply here. And I’d also like to put heavy emphasis on the fact that Jason immediately nulled the offer 👁️

Nope! Still alive and kicking!

But, fun story, I was on the highway a couple nights ago when it started raining like crazy and a guy thought “You know what I’m gonna do? Ghostbird’s driving too slow in this heavy downpour, so imma just pass them!”

Long story short, that guy ended up doing a couple pirouettes right in front of me thanks to hydroplaning, crashing into the guardrails and everything. Luckily, him and his daughter weren’t visibly injured, only in shock. But I did wait around for almost an hour until police and paramedics arrived and ended up in wet clothes.

So, nobody got injured, which is awesome. On the other hand, please don’t speed up to a 100 while it’s raining buckets. 😩

...Jason is gonna be part freaked out and horrified and part resentful once he finds out that one of the reasons Bruce had his funeral when Dickie couldn't attend (too busy inflicting Talon-style DEATH) was so Dickie couldn't sneak into the box to stay with his owlet...

(Resentful cuz then a Talon would have broken them out of there much, much faster.)

(Horrified because holy SHIT Dickie really didn't take losing him well, huh.)

Jason is definitely going to find out about the coffin-sneaking thing, though not necessarily from Dick. And his reaction is probably going to be… something. 👀

Words fail to express how desperately I hope that the Ao3 curse doesn't decide to fuck with your health again...mostly out of genuine concern for you as a person, cuz you just seem like a really cool person. But I will admit...a not so small part is motivated by how absolutely SHOWSTOPPING that latest Owl Song installment was...and if it winds up being another 5 to 6 month wait for a follow-up to THAT...even Morticia Addams would say that's just too excruciating to endure.

So, full disclosure, I’m not a native English speaker, and I rarely edit my fics. Soooometimes I go back to fix some plot structure issues or grammar mistakes that I notice.

That said, I don’t think I have the time and energy right now to do a deep dive into correcting spelling errors and having them pointed out would probably feel a little discouraging for me as I’m already struggling a little in using non repetitive vocabulary >.<
