Prompt #19

As a kid, Soap would doodle. His parents noticed how good he was and he was enthusiastic when they got him lessons. Eventually something happened, and while he still draws in his journal he doesn’t do much else after joining the military.

Once he joins the 141, Soap needs more of an outlet so he starts painting. Someone ends up seeing a few of his pieces and gives him a connection to someone who owns an art gallery. They end up getting on like a house on fire, and they love Soap’s work and put it up in the gallery and they end up agreeing to send people to Soap, where Soap starts to get commissions and offers for his work, but stays anonymous by only going through the friend who owns the art gallery. He ends up becoming a semi famous anonymous artist on the side of his career in the military/141.

None of the others of the 141 know about Soap’s art. Not until Ghost is visiting Glasgow one day during his leave, and he ends up going to this random art gallery he comes across and sees piece that reminds him of a place they recently went to for a mission, and notices that it’s signed by Johnny Riley that he is sure is Soap’s handwriting.

Ghost buys one of the ones by Johnny Riley and puts it in his apartment he barely uses. Eventually one day Soap visits. Soap nearly chokes on his own spit when he sees it. And Ghost confronts him about it and they confess their feelings for each other or something.

One day, when Soap feels confident in it, he invites the 141 to visit the art gallery and he shows them his work. GhostSoap are already together by that point, and the 141 absolutely tease him about the pseudonym choice.

Prompt #18

Soap used to do card tricks or magic tricks as a kid. Once he joined the 141 he hadn’t done them in a while, but his favorites were card tricks, and he used to be really good. As he gets used to the 141 he starts to pick up cardistry again. He gets really good at it again, and practices any spare moment he has on base. He just carries a deck of cards with him everywhere. Ghost is absolutely hypnotised anytime he watches Soap manipulate the cards.

Soap absolutely realizes that Ghost stares while he does the tricks. Ghost accidentally blurts out his feelings watching Soap one day.

Prompt #17

Who in the 141 plays/played DnD?

Ghost played once as a kid and that was it even though he enjoyed it.

Soap has played a few times and had a blast, but never had a lot of people that wanted to.

Price has never played.

Gaz has wanted to since he was young but never had friends that wanted to play as well.

Roach played one time, but the people he played with sucked so he never did it again.

Farah and Konig have heard of it but don’t really know much about it.

Alex played it one or two times, but it was never really his thing.

At some point, Soap finds out about all of their experiences with DnD and decides that he needs to teach them properly, and ends up GM-ing for them and they all enjoy it.

At some point, someone else is GM-ing, or Soap is still GM-ing, but Ghost’s and Soap’s characters get together in game and these two idiot blush the entire time, and it’s before they get together.

GhostSoap Top Gun AU!!! Iceman!Ghost. Maverick!Soap.

Oooo switched! Maverick!Ghost, Goose!Roach, Iceman!Soap, Slider!Gaz.

There are so many options, and you still get military gays. It’s just American fighter pilot gays instead.

Prompt #15

Soap keeps catching Ghost staring at him, but never says anything to Ghost. It makes Soap happy, all warm and fuzzy and blushing, knowing that Ghost is watching him, and he doesn’t say anything because he doesn’t want to make Ghost uncomfortable and stop staring. Soap knows that Ghost will come to him in his own time.

It’s not until someone rudely points out to Ghost that he has a staring habit, and Soap is just out of sight when he overhears it, and notices that after that Ghost avoids looking at Soap more that is absolutely necessary. After this keeps happening, Soap confronts Ghost and confesses his feelings and that he likes that Ghost stares.

They get together, and Ghost stares at Soap again, and anytime anyone comments, Soap tells them some variation of “fuck off”.

Prompt #14

I am a sucker for fics that aren’t soulmate AUs, but the ship still seems fated. I mean like, it wasn’t a cod fic, but one character’s father was a musician, and the other character’s favorite song that they had a few lines of tattooed on their skin was written by the first character’s father. Or like the canon of the Now You See Me movies, that the magician that inspired Daniel Atlas to become a magician was Dylan Rhodes/Shrike’s father, Lionel Shrike.

Maybe for GhostSoap, this could be that one of Soap’s parents is a one time author, and the one book they wrote was Ghost’s favorite since he was a kid, and Soap eventually finds out.

Or, maybe Soap’s older sister is the one that did Ghost’s tattoos, and it isn’t until Soap sees Ghost’s tattoos properly that he realizes that it’s his sister’s art. Maybe Soap goes to his sister to work together on one for Soap that is representative of/dedicated to Ghost, after he finds out about Ghost’s tattoos and tells him about his sister.

There aren’t soulmates in this universe, but their lives are tied together in ways that they didn’t realize. They were meant to meet. They were meant to find each other.

Prompt #13

After the Alone Mission, and Soap’s struggle through Las Almas, he truly hates the rain and storms. He starts having nightmares about them, and being caught in the rain skyrockets his anxiety to the point of a panic attack, unless he is on a mission. If it’s on a mission he can usually compartmentalize it to panic later, unless he is injured. Soap’s shoulder flares up when it rains. It takes Ghost and Soap being together on base between missions when it starts to rain, and Soap having a panic attack, for Ghost to find out about the issues that Soap has been having with rain.

The worst part for Soap, is that he used to love rain and storms. They would always relax him, and it was the perfect sound that wasn’t an explosion or loud music that quieted his brain in the best way. He and his sisters used to go outside when it rained and run around the yard. Or just stand there and get soaked with the rain.

CoD x Hawaii Five-O crossover! While Steve was a SEAL, he crossed paths with the 141 on a mission and they saved his team.

Years later, in 1x09 of Hawaii Five-O, maybe Steve calls in Soap and Ghost or someone from the 141 when Five-O are betrayed by Nick.

Danny’s aneurysm face at meeting Ghost, because of the mask.

X+1 times that the Five-O team met members of the 141.

Prompt #10

Neither knows exactly when it started, but at some point Soap and Ghost started reaching out to feel/hear each other’s heartbeat. As a reminder that the other is there and alive and relatively safe and with them. Maybe it’s a 5+1. Maybe Soap or Ghost started having panic attacks during leave or breaks between missions when they haven’t seen each other in days or weeks.

I am a sucker for Skill Reveal fics! And stuff like this works for GhostSoap or any of the 141!

I have seen at least one fic where Ghost is a skilled mimic. And there are so many possibilities with that concept! Ghost mimicking Soap, or Gaz, or Price, or Roach, or Graves, or Sheppard.

Ghost or any of the 141 being multilingual. Yeah, at their skill level it would probably be more surprising that they aren’t, but like, I love the hilarity of any character just revealing language after language like a clown car in random situations.

I read a fic where Ghost was secretly an author, and I could see that for just about any of them.

I mean there are any of the obvious ones that are like hobbies, whether that is knitting or cooking or drawing.

Idk if it is totally a skill reveal, but imagine if Soap was secretly a semi famous artist. Like, he’s obviously no Van Gogh, but he sells pieces regularly enough and gets commissions through an agent of sorts on occasion, and he has had some of his works in various galleries of varying sizes. He stays anonymous typically, but maybe he reveals himself to save their cover for something.

Prompt #8

Not necessarily a fic idea, but it does have prose potential or something like that. In the CoDMF games (idk if they are reboots or what they are considered, but the later ones), Soap has brown hair and blue eyes, which is an uncommon genetic combination, and striking if I do say so myself. And in the games, Ghost has blond hair and brown eyes, which is another uncommon genetic combination. Idk what the fic would be about, but I could write an essay about how they are both special because of uncommon genetic combinations, and because of this same fact, they are technically opposites of each other. I don’t know what it is, but it feels like some destiny, soulmate type shit.

Crossover Potential of CoD and 9-1-1

These are only a few of the possibilities

The obvious idea of Navy SEAL!Buck, who ended up as part of the 141 before leaving for the 118!

There is the angsty option of secret reveal in the 2022 CoD, of Ghost showing up at the 118 to inform Buck about what happened to Soap.

There is the fun option of secret reveal of Soap or Gaz or Price being Buck’s emergency contact after one of his accidents (because obviously Ghost can’t be his emergency contact because Simon Riley is dead or whatever).

3/5/X +1 times that the 118 meet members of the 141. They are connected through Buck. Price meets Bobby, and they end up getting along well as the accidental pseudo parental figures of their teams. Gaz meets Hen, I don’t know what they bond over, but if it is because of Buck getting injured, then they are sort of the chill but concerned pseudo sibling to Buck. Chimney meets Soap or Roach, or both. Eddie meets Ghost or Soap, because it is fun to do parallels between GhostSoap and Buddie.

Imagine Ghost and Soap, and Buck first joins the team and they end up accidentally sort of adopting this kid that looks just a little to much like Ghost and is just a little too similar in personality to Soap. And it’s infinitely funnier if Ghost and Soap aren’t together yet.

I love Buck with ADHD (Soap absolutely also has ADHD). It has so many possibilities! Buck using slang and curses that Soap or Ghost use, because there is some hilarious Manchester slang for an American to use, and Scots Gaelic too. Because Buck would absolutely not register it as odd until one of the 118 pointing it out. That leads into the mimicking aspect of adhd and Buck absolutely does this when Ghost or Soap aren’t around! Soap is used to it because he has done it before himself and he is used to Buck doing it, and Ghost has actively developed the skill to mimic certain voices. So it isn’t weird to them that Buck tends to mimic one of them when they are around, but it is totally baffling to the 118. Tangentially, This is how Ghost learns how to do an American (midwestern/east coast) accent.

Welcome!

Hi! I’m Luci! This is not the first blog I have created for fanfic prompts for different fandoms. I got into CoD a little while ago and finally realized how many random fic ideas I had started to stockpile for GhostSoap and CoD in general, that I knew I had to put this together.

Here are a few things I wanted to touch on as an intro of sorts to this blog.

Most of these prompts are going to be about GhostSoap. There will be some general CoD/TF141 prompts as well. And there will be some that are crossovers with other fandoms.

If you have a prompts you would like me to post, feel free to submit them, or message me about them, and I will add them to the queue. This being said, any of the numbered prompts are ones that I have created myself, but there will be some reblogs and things thrown in.

If you find a prompt you like, you don’t need to ask me for permission to use it. All I ask is that you try to reference the prompt you used wherever you post it, and let me know what/where you post your fic and what prompt it’s based on. Prompt #5

Soap is an Addams.

1. No dying for him!

2. Soap having odd courting rituals! (Whether it’s giving Ghost pebbles like penguins, or giving Ghost his/a literal heart, it’s odd and maybe a little creepy, but Ghost finds it endearing.)

3. Soap already loves explosives! (I need him randomly mentioning childhood stories of him and his cousin Wednesday shooting off dynamite caps for fun!)

4. Imagine the 141 meeting any of the Addams’! (The 141 meeting grown up Wednesday and seeing how her and Soap interact. And the wack ass stories they tell about their childhood like they are normal)
