I kinda wish unalaq stayed good tbh cause in the first 2 EPS I liked him like he seemed pretty chill

And tbh the love triangle is more funny like I cannot take it seriously, korras too ridiculous

There's a little au that lives in my brain where Ursa took the kids after Azulon's death and fled to Ba Sing Se where Ozai couldn't reach her. She was surprised and terrified to find that Iroh was still there, blending into the crowd too. Except it turns out he didn't want to go back either.

So they all went and lived together in his tea shop and nothing overly dramatic happened -- until it did. :DD

In TLOK I kinda wish they made mako and Korra besties and emphasized the friendships in the krew more. Like maybe mako acted as korras bodyguard during those 3 years or post s2 not in a rangi way tho. In a bestie way. And then bolin and asami became better friends and idk. I just wish the krew got more bonding stuff. I also just wish the krew besides korra got more characterization

I really hate how ursa is done in the comics idk

Like I'm done with the arranged marriage and her and ikem but I hate the other stuff.

1. Her and azula

I kinda wish they made her and azulas relationship more complex and nuanced instead of it being that ursa loved her all along and never favored zuko

Because I just think that's a little lazy. I feel like if ursa had favored zuko it would've made sense like if we keep the ikem part of all of it then I think it would be interesting that ursa favored zuko because he reminded her of her past and ikem. Also that with zuko she could at least pretend he wasn't ozais.

But with azula she couldn't pretend at all. And then coupled that with the fact that azula had a spark in her eyes that zuko didn't and she saw how ozai reacted to that and how he treated zuko that she would feel like she would need to protect him even more. I think it would be an interesting thing if zuko reminded her of her old life while azula reminded her of her present life.

And that would cause a rift between them. And then we would have azula acting out for her mothers attention and acting more and more similar to ozai which would just further increase the rift. Because ursa would struggle to separate her daughter from her abuser like she can with zuko. Especially since azula would also spend most of her time learning from ozai and listening to him.

Im also not saying she would a horrible mother either. Because I think even with this scenario that she is still nuanced because she got forced into a situation she would have never chosen and is just trying to get through it day by day. I think it would be that like ursa, azula was just a casualty of azulon and especially of ozai. Because had ozai not been there I think she would have been a much better mother.

Like idk I just feel like with how the comics wrote ursa and ozais relationship this would make even more sense than her being just a slightly flawed mother but she was trying her best. Idk I'm not very articulate.

2. The forgetting thing

It sucks. I hate it so much actually. It's just so bad, like I feel like the writer couldn't think of anyway to make it make sense that ursa would never go back to her kids but tbh I can think of some ways.

Like ursa is definitely terrified of ozai and he knows where she went and she would still go back to her hometown.

So maybe ozai knows this and every now and then he sends soldiers around there to just do a bit of patrol maybe even have them raid her parents house as a way of telling ursa that if she does something her parents and ikem are gonna be the price. Which I think would work.

Also I think with azula and zuko that she just kept telling herself that zuko had Iroh and that azula was ozais favorite. She probably just repeated those constantly like how zuko does with azula always lies. And soon after like a year she believed it.

Also I think she wouldn't get any information on them because ozai would make it harder and like we see in canon not that many know of or recognize azula and zuko. Like in the beach episode kids who seem to have noble parents don't even know about them so I think it would make a lot of sense that the royal family is way way way more private esp during ozais reign. Because yk ozai killed his father,stole his brothers birthright, and In ozais opinion had a failure of a first born. And maybe ursa was also too terrified of what shed find out or just to leave hir'a/her hometown.

Also part of me thinks it was lazy writing so that they wouldn't have to have ursa have difficult conversations about why she never went looking for them or just a conversation with azula because we never actually get a real ursa and azula convo.

3. Kiyi

I hate her. Like she just feels like such a a replacement and lazy writing. Like they wanted zuko to have a healthy brother sister dynamic with someone and they didn't know how,didn't think of, or just didn't want to write that with pre established characters, they decided to make a character that was everything azula wasn't and was the perfect little sister and daughter.

Like I think she could be fun but I also think she was just so that zuko could have that dynamic without having to put in the work of writing azula a semi redemption arc or smth.

But also I think maybe they could've given zuko that brother sister dynamic with katara or toph. Like we see zuko jealous of sokka and katara and maybe we get stuff we're zuko and katara will act like sibling or like the relationship he always wanted with azula but then gets reminded that he can't have that.

Also It feels like a way to also give ursa the perfect daughter but I do think rewritten she could work. I think she's a fun concept.

Do you guys ever think about how azula spent 3 YEARS alone with ozai?

Like after zukos banishment Im pretty sure everyone left, tylee and Mai left, zuko and iroh left and her mom was gone. So she was basically alone and only surrounded by people who are loyal to her father.

Like idk I just always wonder what happend during that time. Was she trained day and night? And that's why she's so good? Did she spend all her time just training and learning from her father?

Like idk???? I just think it really interesting and it's not really talked about much in the show or comics. Cause she would be spending sooo much time with her only source of wisdom being her father.

Also I think it's an interesting contrast like zukos main source of wisdom during his 3 years was iroh while azulas was ozai.

I have a different perspective on azula in this scene

Like this is an Agni kai and honestly Agni kais seem to be at least somewhat common in the fire nation especially among higher ranking people.

So this is probably not azulas first time witnessing an Agni kai and she knows the rules of Agni kais. So tbh I just don't think this smile is as malicious or psychopathic cause I mean she's 11 and this is also her father doing it. She probably just sees this as zuko being taught a lesson. Like we know how horrible and abusive it is but she grew up around this

Idk tbh I just think it's a lot more nuanced then it's made out to be like she doesn't see abuse, she sees an Agni kai

I think a good premise for an azula redemption is that she's kinda at the place where zuko was when he lost his bending but in her own way. But like she lost her bending and she tries literally everything to get it back.

Like EVERYTHING and maybe even some type of angsty scene where she's so desperate she even puts her hands into fire,,, idk idk but nothing works

And yk maybe she even cuts off her hair because I think her bending is like the thing she takes the most pride in

but anyway then she has to go grovel to zuko to help her

And he takes her to the dragons and stuff.

Idk idk I'm just boredd

Non canon non canon shippers who always claim their ship would've been canon,should've been canon or was supposed to be canon and use stuff from the show that they are misinterpreting or just using scenes with other characters as proof are sooo annoying. Especially when it's a ship that would NEVER work

And like this doesn't go for like non canon ships that were canon or a min but like full on fanon ships.

I think if they make more azula comics, I think azula should run into a companion who can help her or smth like their very spiritual but I also want them to be soooo fucking annoying, like I think she should be stuck with someone who is just so irritating for her. But she needs them so she can't say anything. And idk I just think itd be funny for her new friend to be so annoying to her.

But they also help her cope with stuff and everything

A lot of zuko and azula ships are really only fun in theory or like randomly. But they would never work in canon.

Like zuko and azula got like one or 2 ships that work then one that's a maybe but all the others would not work at all.

And those ships are like maiko,jinko(ig?),tyzula and azula has like none that work.

Like zutara could not work in canon cause katara would never be firelady like she just wouldn't and zuko would never abandon his nation or his fire lord position.

And the rest of zukos ship are just kinda boring or uninspired besides maybe zukka

And I don't even need to explain why most azula ships don't work.

But I mean some are fun in theory like with the dynamics, aesthetics blah blah blah

I would like to have an iroh and azula story.

I feel like their story could have a lot to offer like I partially feel like their kind of similar in a way.

Like I feel like azulas would have become a general like iroh was and she took ba sing se like iroh would've, also she was her father's "favorite" like iroh was. Also I feel like iroh thought a little similar to how she thought like he used to be a let's burn the whole earth kingdom guy too. Like with ba sing se.

Plus I feel like it would be a nice story to see about iroh realizing that she needs help too.

Idk I just feel like a story about them together could have a lot to offer.
