Hi everyone, I am BROKE. and rent is due, and all my savings were ripped out of my account by Hurricane Ida (I live in New Orleans, my power was out for 9 days and I lost all the food in my fridge as well as having to spend hundreds of dollars in emergency supplies). I havent even been able to pay any rent for October yet and I’m nervous.

I have a serving job but due to the hurricane my hiring process was pushed back 2 weeks, so I just started and have not been paid yet. My cat food order was a week late so I had to spend 30$ on more cat food. I haven’t been this financially unstable in several years and it’s extremely triggering to me, i wake up at night thinking I’m back on the street or still with my abusive ex. shit’s rough out here.

Ok fuck um. I'm in some seriously dire straights rn. I only have enough ones to get me to and from work a few times, but I can't avoid riding at least one non transfer bus each time. I only get paid every two weeks, the contract is only a 4 week thing, and I've got less than 20$ in my bank account n less than 40$ credit on my card.
