My goal is to make my HC of Jake being a fashion Icon a reality. Specifically the MCU version.
I think it would be a nice contrast. Steven dresses for comfort, Marc dresses for efficiency and simplicity.
Jake.... his leather jacket hemn and gloves are embedded with designs. Idk you can't tell me he doesn't have some spark for fashion sense.

I'm an advocate for not having Jake's only personality trait being a bloodthirsty killing machine.
But also....
YES!! BEAUTIFUL ARTIST DRAW HIM SCARY AND THREATENING, especially against Harrow. It's very fun.
I love the duality 😣

Steven Grant Hate Watches the SyFy Channel
Me and a friend came up with this silly idea.
Steven hate watches the syfy channel especially the shows that say aliens built the pyramids.
He gets heated and spends the entire time exposing plot holes and correcting misinformation.
It's a sport to him. He even made a bingo card outta it bc the shows are so predictable.
He's practically a walking CinemaSins for the Syfy Channel.
SyfySins?
Lmao he makes a yt Channel dedicated to debunking the outrageous theories on the Syfy channel.
Then it just branches off to him debunking common misconceptions and myths about ancient Egypt.

Not So Perfect Steven
This is like a scenario/small character analysis of Steven grant
Steven getting salty when he loses a trivia game against his partner that involves his special interest. And it was cause he got one question wrong.
It would be a tie and his partner gets the 1 bonus question correct or it's a question that's worth 2 points that ends up getting his partner the extra point they needed to win.
It would probably be a trick question that trips Steven up or he was just so overconfident he didn't pay too close attention to what the questions was really asking and he ended up getting it wrong.
His partner gets it right bc they didn't overthink it or remembered something they read in some article a while back. The partner wins by one point and Steven is appalled bc "how did he get that wrong?"
Cue to him looking it up in his millions of textbooks cause he swore that's the correct answer (it's not). Now he's a bit salty, bc of all the things to lose in, it had to be something he was passionate about.
He sulks for like an 30 minutes (or less) and after cooling down he realizes (or his partner tells him) that the fact his partner was able to get so many right is because they listened and retained all the facts he info dumps on his partner.
Plus that they might also read up more on his special on their own time so they can follow along when he begins his ramblings.
It makes his heart flutter, someone finally sees him and pays attention. They care enough to engage in the things he likes and it makes him feel good. It's a new feeling he's not used to and he's not 100% sure on how to fully process it.
But he takes his partner to their favorite spot to celebrate. Buys them some celebratory gift like a key chain or plush. And at the end, as they're walking home hands interlocked, he smugly says "Next time I won't show any mercy!"
⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆⋆⁺。
I like hc's/fics that show Steven as someone who can make mistakes. Like he isn't perfect and sometimes he can be a little mean/petty when he's frustrated or maybe come off a bit rude (unknowingly).
There's a way to show that side of him and still be faithful to his character.
He's a perfect angel, but also, he's not. He's human. A human who has his off days and sometimes doesn't have the energy for niceties.
Steven being a bit sulky cause he lost an ancient Egyptian trivia game feels right because it's not salty in a malicious sense but maybe in an envious way?
Or more like, you spend so long studying and learning about this topic for years and someone who may not have put as much time in it, was able to know more about it than you.
It's like a gatekeepy kinda thing but like on a subtle level. Steven gets over it after he processes how he feels and realizes that this doesn't make his knowledge on the subject any less significant or vast.
Just that some things you tend to miss or don't pick up on, bc you spend so long conditioned to look at something one way, that you end up overlooking new pieces of information. Confirmation bias maybe.
Despite being a little jealous he's happy his partner knows so much about his special interest that they were able to pull one over on him.
He has a not-so-great feeling but in Steven fashion internalizes it and tries to understand it and if he can't understand it, he voices his feelings outward for a second opinion.
In the end, he gets an answer and learns how to better navigate this feeling in the future. Bc it definitely won't be the last time he feels this way.
Scenarios like this are fun aspects of his character I like to explore.
Idk am im making sense I went on a tangent lolll?

This song but with Marc as Elsa and Steven as Anna, who is trying to calm Marc down after they both find out about Jake's existence and still being tied to Konshu.
All of this is taking place in the mind place which Marc has a little bit more control over than the other two alters. As the song goes on, Marc gets more overstimulated and stressed as Steven tries to console him on how they can fix this.
("Im such a fool I can't be free")
Marc realizing that they'll never be free is unconsciously shaping the mind palace to put up walls (both metaphorically and literally) to keep Steven away from him cause he can not deal with this right now. And the last thing he wants to hear is whatever Steven has to say.
Steven is trying to move through and climb over the walls and pillars Marc is subconsciously raising to get to him before he shuts down and becomes inconsolable.
By the end ("I can't"), the whole place is cracking due to Marc's blow-up, and a crack opens up and swallows Steven, and he falls to a different level of the Mind Palace. He's out cold.
The ending instrumentals show Marc curled up in a ball with his ears covered and basically surrounded by a fortress as a way to protect himself.
Jake wakes up in the body (in bed), and for once, it's quiet....

Exactly!!!!
Steven acknowledges it, but Marc ignores it, which has been the running dynamic during this part of the story. By Steven finding out the truth, by proxy, Marc has to acknowledge what happened and heal from it.
Marc continues to run away from the past and avoid facing what happened. Jake is just another part of Marc he subconsciously avoids. Marc doesn't even pause to see what Steven is pointing at.
It doesn't register that there's something there, or he just has that much tunnel vision, which causes him to avoid that "darker" part of himself.
Like how people lock away (forget) traumatic memories as a trauma response/coping mechanism.
And as OP said, their scales weren't balanced bc Marc didn't fully accept who he is (the good and the bad) despite him forgiving himself or rather Steven absolving him for what happened to his brother.
So the price to balance the scales and gain entrance to the field of reeds was heavier than it would have been if Jake had been there. I.e. Steven having to turn to stone.
I wonder if the scales would've been balanced in Moon Knight if they had included Jake in the judgement as well
The way there were three chairs in the hallway when Taweret came for them. They should've let our boy out of that sarcophagus 😭
Tumblr media
Also I'm obsessed with how Steven sort of points at the sarcophagus and looks at Marc like "so we're gonna ignore that or...?" and then they ignore it

This art is amazing! I'm so happy to see an artist draw the Moon Duo together. They could be called Moon Phase or something!!!
I think their encounter could go something like this:
Moon Knight was terrified when first meeting Moon Girl, thinking Konshu recruited a child to be his fist of Vengence, so he spends the first issue or two trying to stop her from doing Konshus dirty work by impeding her investigations and telling her to stay out of it.
Miscommunication trope to the max.
Moon Girl doesn't understand how the avatar thing works, so she assumes that maybe she is.
MK, of course, tries to get Konshu to explain himself, but he's an asshole so he doesn't answer or is busy doing whatever.
And we know how brutal it is to be moon knight and the things you have to do to "please" the god of the moon, so he wants to protect her from that reality of being a Fist of Vengence.
After (very) reluctantly letting her tag along, they learn she's a great asset because of her intelligence and quick thinking (which he respects and admires greatly). As well as her gadgets, but all that is still overshadowed by her being a child.
Moon Girl is of course offended by this bc she's one of the smartest kids in the world, and she faced off against the Beyonder and lived to tell about it and even made him an ally/frienemy.
The thought of having to be a mentor to her so she doesn't get hurt gives him a heart attack.
But after defeating the big bad, he learns she has nothing to do with Konshu and leaves her to keep doing her thing but still keeps an eye on her just in case Konshu gets any ideas.
Moon Girl is still pg (minus the near death experiences with someone like the beyonder) and the contrast between how the two experience their work as vigilantes would be cool to see.
For Moon Girl, it will like be coming from Precure to Madoka Magica or something like that.
If it got too bad, Moon Knight would definitely see to it that she doesn't witness any horrors, especially if it's a villain Moon Knight has faced off before.
Sorry if this was too long. I just have a lot of ideas when it comes to moon knight and crossovers

More MK doodles cause I’m mentally ill (also another one of him and Moongirl cause yall liked the first one. They would have NOTHING to relate to/talk about but they are silly. Marc needs his official unc status back in comics pls lmao)

Now i have to draw Frank and Jake as the Barbie mug shot meme 😣
Hey guys I lied 11 has arrived and it has arrived now. Moon Knight & Punisher dynamic ideas under cut. You know how it goes. Disclaimer, it's all headcanons, not a statement, we have fun here. Warning it's looong.
I think... there will definitely be a learning curve. I think. Frank probably doesn't get it, he'd have to sit down and read up on DID first before he can understand and he's a tired busy man so he probably wouldn't have that much time to do that. But Frank's seen a lot of things in his line of work. Probably even other systems: people he saved, coworkers, etc, or maybe he'd heard of the term in passing.
I think, at the beginning at least, Frank would stick to one alter he finds familliar / works with the most often — probably Marc? And just run with that. But he'll get to know the others over time and I mean, I personally want to explore his interactions with the whole system rather than just one alter LMAO
——
Frank and Marc: fellow Marines! They have quite a timegap in their services, but I think Marc definitely would have heard about the Cerberus squad, their lethality, and everything they mostly had to do. Frank probably doesn't know of Marc's discharge (at least, y'know, until he looks too deeply into Moon Knight...) but I feel like he wouldn't really care primarily because the way Marc fights in the field is testament enough. Goddamn great fighter, ruthless and efficient. Frank likes that. He likes a guy who ensures the job gets done.
Marc is also like Frank in the way they're both self-sabotaging, quiet, and self-isolating, and ironically I think they'd find camaraderie in Not deepening their allyship. Keeping it arms length, professional, where nobody has a risk of getting hurt (Castle can take care of himself, anyway // Spector has that superhealing suit of his, he can't die.) Lessens the expectations and makes it so much more predictable (and pleasant) for both parties. They'd keep each other in check to make sure they don't fall off the deep end, and a reassurance that if they ever do, the other guy's there to bring them down.
(I have another headcanon about Marc's relationship with platonic attraction, or maybe lack thereof, but that's another thing...)
Oh also because Marc is such a careful guy he would Not Ask. He sees Frank dissociating? Pop in a "you good?" guy says fine, Marc doesn't ask, silently thinks "yeah me too buddy." Frank's whole tragedy at Central Park, Marc can definitely sympathize with losing family and how that would crush you, and he can only imagine what it'd be like to be a whole family. Survivor's guilt is huge with these two. Marc would try to help to the best of his ability? But most of the time they Do Not Talk About It, and they're both fine with knowing too much about the other party and not saying anything about that information unless relevant.
Frank and Steven: Ooooh boy. Okay so this is actually a very interesting possible dynamic I've thought about a lot purely because Steven is Just A Guy. He's not cut out for this cutthroat business. Frank would, at first, probably see Steven's involvement in the vigilante industry as slightly out of place, not cut out for the blood, but slowly I think he'd gain more respect for Steven when he understands Steven's role in the system but also to how MK works as a whole.
Steven's a researcher, he's compassionate, he's assertive, and he's a voice of reason. Calls out people's bullshit with his full chest. If any of them were self-sabotaging, he'd call it out. Steven's experience with Marc probably helps him in calling out Frank's bullshit too in that regard. He's probably great at calming people down and honestly I can easily see Steven being capable of doing a lot of research efficiently and giving reminders for the party to "take it down a notch." I think Frank understands what it'd be like to have someone like that, to ground him to his life beyond vigilantism (see also: Curtis, Karen, Micro.)
Unlike Marc, who's more strictly professional and acquaintances only, Steven would probably check up on Frank every once and a while, proactively. Ensure he's not self-isolating, ensure that he's still alive and all. Morality wise, Steven's not one for killing, obviously — but I think he can at least respect Frank for what he does, and they can have objective debates about it (not emotionally charged ones, courtesy of Red) and Steven doesn't get in Frank's way, which he likes. Alternatively, having Frank Castle around means more allies that would protect them (the system) and people Steven cares about, which is a great deal.
Frank and Jake: The fun guys. I can talk endlessly about how I think they'd play out purely because I have like three intrepretations of Jake in my head at a time. Anyway, amicable cab driver Jake that nightlights as Moon Knight would have a blast with Frank, and I think it goes both ways. Jake's good as an informant, good at fighting, almost as well trained as Marc, and actually respects what Frank's doing. Some people in this world can't be redeemed. Sometimes people just need to go. Jake respects Frank for doing that hard work, and even more so about how firm he is in that belief — even Marc can waver before taking a life, but Frank Castle Knows how to do it. He knows what he needs to do. Jake respects that a whole lot. I've talked about this... a lot LMAO
Anyway Jake is also proactive. That's a big part of it. The thing that maybe sets Jake apart from Marc and Steven is that a) he's proactive, b) has a sense or humor in his super serious line of work, c) works seriously and efficiently. Marc's great at fighting, but too careful / having little to no intention to pursue a deeper friendship with Frank purely because it's easier that way and Frank reciprocates the feeling. With Steven, he's great at being proactive, but not so much the fighting element. Jake's great with both.
(In the Punisher TV show, Micro was like this. David Lieberman wasn't scared of Frank (well, he is, a healthy amount.) and they both shared the same goals. David is also funny and sociable to contrast Frank's everything but that. Even if Frank was cautious about working with David, he warmed up and trusted him fast after David was so open about himself and his family. I think Jake would be the same, to a certain extent.)
I think they both would exchange the similar type of humor and they always find a way to benefit from each other's skills (free cab ride from Jake / additional firepower from Frank) so I just think they'd have a blast fighting side by side. Oh, and Jake's probably the guy who's also realistic and tethered enough to reality that he can "slip out" of Moon Knight's vigilantism and just go back to being Cab Driver Jake. (Which I think is something Frank needs, honestly. A guy to remind him that his life isn't an endless war.)
... That's not even considering Khonshu, heh. Which. Ha ha ha. I am laughing. That's a whole giant thing on its own and I stare longingly at my WIPs. Anyway, Khonshu loves what the Punisher does, would love it if he hung out more with MK. Hey maybe one day I'll make another post about th—[shot]
If you read this long, thanks for reading LMAO, feel free to add your thoughts / headcanons about them!

MoonKnight and Spawn Crossover
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Continued:
Spawn stops MK from fighting the thugs Moonknight is taken a back by thise guys dressed up in leather is trying to fight him.
The Konshu Manifestation is telling Marc to get rid of this guy,
Spawns says something cool that acknowledges Konshus presence
MK is shocked he can see him. Fat clown guy shows up and talks his shit. He rubs Konshu the wrong way now he's instigating times 10.
Chaos ensues they both are too stubborn to listen to reason so they fight. Spawn almost kills MK but not without MK getting in a few good hits. MK bleeding out uses smoke bombs to get away bc you can't really be a fist of Vengence if your dead.
MK passes out in an alley way. Spawn continues the search for him. MDupe is causing terror and ends up on the news. MK sees this and thinks this is why that guy in leather picked a fight with him. Konshu is obviously upset cause some poser is wearing his threads and is ruining the reputation they [Marc] has been building up for the past decade.
MK still a little beat up puts on the costume and goes out to track down the imposter.
Mk finds out where the imposter next target is since he hits places that would cause the most press to find him.
There's some auction going on, and MK stakes the place out, but so is SPAWN. They both run into each other on a roof nearby and fight again, but MK knows what to expect now. He's not caught off guard by the guns and chains and disappearing act. This is a bit above his pay grade, but he's fought worse.
Before they clash for the deciding winner, they both hear screams. The imposter showed up, and Spawn sees the imposter holding up the entire auction. He's confused, and they finally talk, and Spawn finds out that the guys he's been chasing is some shape-shifting poser with a possible grudge against MK.
They both decide to put aside their differences and save the people in there. They team up and beat the guy and his bag of tricks. Spawn either let's MK take care of the poser or MK let's Spawn take the guy back to his dimension for Spawn to deal with much to Konshus dismay.
Either way, Spawn uses the device the poser was using to travel dimensions to go home. But before he leaves, he gives MK a warning about Malbogia looking to add MK to his collection of spawns (he also explains what a spawn is), and he's willing to travel dimensions to get him once he kicks the bucket.
MK is like, " One narcissistic, over controlling deity is enough for me. I'll be dawned if I have to be in servitude in death as well. Tell malbogia if he wants me he'll have to come get me himself. Matter of fact, I might visit him myself when the day comes."
Spawn laughs and says, "I'll be waiting for that day. Who knows? I might be right beside you when the time comes, " and he leaves
The story ends with both of them reflecting on their encounters with each other.

I had a similar idea in my drafts a year ago but didn't post it because I was scared it would ruin the narrative. I'm happy my thought process is shared by others in the fandom😭.
Him being the second fist of konshu is still stupid. I like OPs idea a lot better, and it fits the story's established narrative way better.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't think we'll see Moon Knight ever again in the MCU, so there's nothing stopping me from doing this:
So first credit, I got this idea from this fanfic, I don't know if that's where that story was going, but that's where I'm going.
As you know, in the comics Randall did not die as a child and actually became a serial killer and one of Moon Knight's recurring enemies (possibly his arch enemy I don't know much about the comic); and I was wondering can we reconciliate these two takes? Yes we can, you see, an aspect of DID is selective memory, you can see it in Steven not knowing anything in the show; so wouldn't it be totally fucked up if Marc also has some significant memory gaps regarding his brother, namely that he did not die and in fact Randall grew up to adulthood and joined the military, became a mercenary, betrayed their group, tried to kill Marc (and the system) and became a serial killer; Marc remembers him dying in the cave because it's easier to deal with than accepting that his little brother became a monster due to combined trauma of his near death experience and the abuse from their mother
Also yes, Wendy's abuse is unrelated to Randall, and it actually started before the incident in the cave, but Marc only remembers starting afterwards because it's a way to punish himself for almost letting Randall die

Marvel's What If Presents:
What If...Marc Spector became Ghost Rider instead of MoonKnight?
Authors Note: Tbh, I'm not sure if I want this to be connected to the MoonKnight Disney plus show and just say everything that happened is the same except he's ghost rider or make it its own thing.
2025 edit: Tbh I was scared to post this at first since I wrote this originally in 2024. I wanted clarification on if MoonKnight becoming Ghost Rider conflicted with his identity as a Jewish man. But he gave his allegiance to Konshus, so idk.
I emailed Marvel editorial about it to make sure I was handling his connection to his religion with care by going to the source, but i never got a reply back. So, if anyone who practices Judiasm sees this, let me know if anything needs to be corrected.
Just know that I have Oscar Issacs portrayal in mind when I'm writing this.
🌙🌙🌙🌙
Marc spector, a mercenary for hire, is stationed in Egypt along with Bushman and his team of mercenaries to complete a job.
Their mission: Locate the archeologist Doctor Peter Alraune Sr. and convince him to reveal the location of Pharoah Seti II and expedite whatever riches you may find.
(This all plays out like the usual).
They find Dr. Alraune, Bushamn threatens to kill the locals if he doesn't comply. He shows them, and they take the treasure, Bushman kills Dr. Alraune and plans to kill the locals regardless so as not to leave any witnesses to their crime.
Marc spector obviously has a problem with this and retaliates, Bushman shoots down Marc.
Now, the turning point that makes this different is that Spector dies before reaching Konshus tomb. Succumbed to his wounds, he wakes up surrounded by hellfire and is given the choice: make a deal with the "devil" to take revenge for Bushman's betrayal and save the locals or suffer enternal hellfire (a lie). Marc sees this as a chance at redemption for all the bad he's done.
Okay, now real talk as far as my research has taught me Heaven and Hell is mostly a Christian concept, and well Marc is Jewish so.... This ties into the comic aspects of Marc's journey with his religion and how, in Marc's own words:
Tumblr media
He takes the deal and dawns the title: The Spirit of Vengence. Of course, this is a 4liferz gig unbeknownst to Spector. He thought he'd take revenge, save the people, and get redeemed. It doesn't work like that, unfortunately.
Of course, his revenge doesn't come so easily. Despite him saving the locals from Bushmans tyranny, Bushman uses cheap tactics to get away, and Marc is forced to go on a journey to find Bushman's wearabouts while also fulfilling his duty as the new S.O.V.
This is where his story begins....
Extra Details:
Jake and Steven both exist, and they all play their part as the Spirit of Vengence.
Just like how Konshu tricked Marc and Steven with loopholes in their deal, the "devil" does the same, and Jake is the S.O.V once Marc and Steven find a way out.
Layla exists bc i love her, and she's amazing!
Her and Marc's relationship pretty much play out the same way, like in the show, They go on adventures, get married, he doesnt tell her about her father's death.
Marc hears rumors about Bushman resurfacing in London after years in hiding. He goes Ghost on Layla, and it isn't until the events with Steven unfold that they're reunited.
The Harrow incident is either solved by someone else wearing the MoonKnight mantle or just doesn't happen at all. [Leaning more towards the latter].
I'm thinking they go back to Cairo as Bushman is trying to find some ancient artifact to make him powerful enough to finally get rid of the Rider once and for all. Plus, it's like a mental advantage for Bushman, given this is where it all started for Marc .
Maybe instead of Harrow finding Ammits tomb, Bushman does and somehow harnesses Ammits' power to fight GhostRider!Marc.
Maybe Bushman takes Harrows place all together, but Bushman wouldn't survive the judgment of Ammit, so I doubt they could work. I think the only thing you could do is change the narrative that the tomb has great power one could wield rather than a statue that releases her.
This whole thing could literally happen anywhere else, but all this happening in Cairo/Egypt is sort of the foundation in how What Ifs works.
This is all I have so far. Feel free to ask questions in my ask box. I plan to draw this version of Ghost Rider sooner or later.
If you have any suggestions on how this could work out following a What If story let me know.
