Would toad peach like skateboarding?

I FORGOT THIS ASK WAS SENT 😭 i was going onto my ipad’s safari and got jumpscared by a duckduckgo search i made for this and immediately made the edit before i could forget about it again

now that that’s out of the way: i don’t have a real reason why she wouldn’t like it!

while she doesn’t actively seek out new sports to try, if she hears about something new to her or is introduced to it by people close to her she will almost always give it a shot

there are games that peach has skateboarded in (ex. mario party mini games, mario & sonic at the olympic games tokyo) that aren’t necessarily canon to this au but i used it as a basis for my thinking overall

i specifically thought about her toad form here as well

so bc she has an odd relationship with balance and how she uses her tail i think she would have a tough time at first but it wouldn’t deter her from continuing to get better, especially if skateboarding was introduced to her by the bros :^)

she also tends to be a technical player in sports (in the olympic games her turns are tight) which i am choosing to believe is a result of the above and being quite decisive

marcella ‘mario’ and luigi marionetti were freshly unemployed plumbers who got isekai’d to the mushroom kingdom ruled by the fair half toad princess peach toadstool 🩵

also bc i’m so pumped about the mkw costumes send a character and i will draw one of their known costumes in it :^)

I honestly thought she would use the cherry because even though they are close peach wouldn't want to use her friends like that for relatively selfish purposes like having a day off.

TO BE HONEST. i forgot about the double cherry until you sent those asks 💀

but yeah! toadette, toadiko, and toadsworth are all professionals and can step in whenever peach needs a break but that usually happens when peach gets sick so she physically can’t protest

peach sees herself as making up for lost time as the kidnappings ramp up so that’s also why she prefers to be the one doing things, especially if best done by her

plus she knows that the job toadiko and toadette have is hard enough already (toadiko is also peach’s poison tester o7), but she eventually gets to a point where she can recognize that she needs to rest and does so (making her loved ones very happy)

if peach knew about the double cherry early on, i could see her trying to make it work. but it’s uncomfortable for her to use and she gets overwhelmed quickly when first introduced to it in my au, so that’s a one and done thing for her.

In the toad peach au. Has peach ever used a double cherry. So that she can spend one day with her true appearance outside of the castle while someone else is the princess?

double cherries aren’t native to the mushroom kingdom, so she personally had never used them until she visited the sprixie kingdom.

but she can do this without it if toadette or toadiko use the crown instead :^) due to their vow they look just like peach in human form, and to avoid suspicion it isn’t common for toadette and toadiko to both be at peach’s side in public. (avoids questions if one does need to step up plus it gives the opportunity for breaks) if for some reason there needs to be a human peach + toadiko, toadette, and toad peach somewhere at the same time, they would consider it but since the double cherry reflects the original it would probably be tricky in universe to pull off (but maybe not impossible thanks to magic 🔥)

peach just doesn’t spend much time outside the castle for a number of factors

1. toadsworth barred her from leaving castle grounds growing up for safety reasons

2. post debutante she was dealing with the escalating koopa kingdom situation that resulted in her first kidnapping

3. things keep happening all the time

4. she’s a bit of a workaholic 🩵

i tweaked things in the au a bit so now this is just a thing that toads know but are bound to keep secret so she feels safer out in toad company but otherwise is quite nervous whenever she’s outside in her true form

but post mario bros knowing she probably feels more comfortable to step outside the castle more (where your ask may come in)

mario’s a big fan of stealing her away when he can and she’s a big fan of seeing the kingdom up close whenever she’s can so she does her best to make it happen and cherishes each occasion 🩵
