Okay so nobody was wondering, but in my head, Anita Merrick sounds like Shadowheart from Baldur's Gate 3. Like I don't know why but whenever I read her dialogue lines, I hear them in Shadowheart's voice in my head. Especially when Anita's sassing/teasing, like when Shart speaks with that small lilt

Aw I don't know. This isn't really a platform for long-form content. Besides, I'd kinda like to get a fresh start of sorts, you know. I'm glad you love my stories but I'm not particularly proud of them. Also, just bc I'm no longer active on nosleep doesn't mean my stories are inaccessible! You should still be able to find them there <3

Sorry it’s early but you really can’t use fanfiction terms in a non fanfiction context like if someone is trying to sell me a book to read and they tell me there’s an enemy to lovers I would be annoyed because why are you spoiling the story lol

im glad that made you happy! you seem pretty talented, and I can see myself in like almost every character (especially flo) which I've never seen before and makes me feel so seen. ill definitely be following along, I doubt that id grow to dislike it

I just read over some basics on the Irish elk, and was confused it was called a deer... But that makes sense now!! Haha thanks for educating me ;) I suppose I got to say "It's quite a deer" then!! My personal obsession with megafauna mostly revolves around Titanoboa, the short-faced bear and some deep sea giants, so my knowledge around most of the rest is admittedly limited.

Sorry, I digress. I like big creatures. (You might say, size matters... I'll see myself out.) I'm not an expert though, I probably know less about Titanoboa than you do about the giant not-deer-elk.

And no, nooo not distracting! I'm so happy to receive a message like this. Thank you for typing this out, I'm serious. It means a great deal to me that you can see yourself in these characters. A lot of their aspects are highly personal to me as well, so having them be received in such a positive way gives me the fuzzy feelings (TM).

holy shit I just discovered the if and I love it so much!!!! I'm autistic and the option to say that you stimmed a lot was so awesome. love flo, esp bc one of my special interests is the Irish elk, which is an extinct megafauna

idk if this sounds weird, but like this feels like a game where I am actually the target audience and it's so freeing

Hello!! I was wondering how the ROs would react if MC just picked them up randomly (or cause they were exited or smt. For example like,, bride style carrying them??)

The way Anita would melt at this!! She'd be over the moon, giggling like a schoolgirl. She also might just get comfortable in MC's arms. She's affection-starved, so... surprise! She lives there now.

Basil would think it's really fun. He'd probably share in the MC's excitement, whatever it was about. He's also used to getting picked up by his Dad (Mr Laurier Sr is huge and used to lift and toss his son around for fun all the time when he was little, and sometimes still does). So you're triggering happy, nostalgic memories for him! He'd probably feel super safe and loved.

Reem isn't used to getting picked up due to her height, so MC would quite literally be sweeping her off her feet! She'd laugh and then immediately try to make out with the MC, because frankly, I think getting carried bridal style would do things to her.

FLO WOULD SCREAM. I mean you're picking up a guy who's built like the fucking Undertaker, what the hell is going on how are you doing this???? How are you carrying him bridal style this is terrifying

Just a heads-up, Flo in particular is gonna be very quick to flip his shit on MC if MC talks badly about the children. He loses a lot of respect for them right away if you call any of them weird or annoying behind their backs.

Yes, that was me and I'm well, thank you <3 sweet of you to ask. See, I'm moving further and further away from Reddit and since I'm barely using the subreddit anymore, I don't want it to get swarmed by bots/shit posters/stuff like that in my absence. I just don't think I really like Reddit anymore, neither the crowd nor the site. Ofc I will always be grateful for the readers I accumulated there. But Reddit overall.... No. Just no.

Progress update: completely outlined chapter 4+5 so far (plot-wise). I've also begun writing chapter 4 and I'm almost 1/3 done, I would say. The game gets very branchy from here so it might take longer than the first three. I've decided that the next opportunity to confirm a crush will be in chapter 4, at the end of the day during its campfire sequence.

The third and possibly final opportunity will then be halfway through chapter 5. Hopefully, that'll be enough time for any MC to make up their minds about the ROs, because I really wanna lock in the romance route then. I'm aspiring for there to be 10-12 chapters in total.
