This band here is called The Marias! A special band having both songs in English and Spanish. Only shy of just 4 years this band has operated without a music label entirely! Their music gives off a sort of dreamlike pop vibe along with rock thrown in there. Very catchy, very melodic. Maria Zardoya and Josh Conway (pictured middle) are the couple of the band and lead. The two met after a show and began writing, soon after they began dating. They recruited a few other band mates and were about to start writing music for television but instead opted out to record their own albums.

It’s a been a while but I’m back and here with more to share! This band right here is called Tennis Inc. Borrowing a description from their video: “They’ve got a funky sound, a bitchin’ look, a foxy singer and a guy that plays guitar. Ladies and gentlemen it’s Tennis!” First time I heard this band I couldn’t believe what I was hearing or seeing. Their look, their sound all so modern and not at the same time. A dreamy hypnotic pop vibe you can jam to. This Duo has been out since 2010 and going strong since!! I can’t wait to hear more from them.

Meet Maye! I recently discovered her music. While she only has released a couple of tracks, this is one artist you’ll want to keep watching. She’s a young Venezuelan artist who started writing at the age of 8, learning guitar during highschool and later releasing her first song “My love” Followed by “Tu” these two songs are beautifully written and sound absolutely lovely. It’s airy dreamy like vocals backed up by resonant bass will leave you in a daze. “Tu” is by far one of the most romantic Spanish songs I’ve heard in a long time. The kind you’ll hear when you meet the love of your life. I can’t wait to see what Maye comes out with next!!!

AWA. I was at work when randomly my YouTube started playing “All these F***king love songs” by AWA and I was mesmerized. Her music gives off a chill vibe but at the same time is fierce with its lyrics and tone. She is a swedish singer who is from London. She won a Swedish version of X factor in 2012 when she was 15, she later won a Nickelodeon kids choice award a year after. She released one single in 2015 called Obvious. She took a few years to perfect her craft and just now recently released new music under a label she was just signed to! 3 songs released with an upcoming 5 ep track album. She is an artist you’ll definitely want to keep an eye on.

The first time I heard Ariana Grande was... let’s be real. It was her singing next to Jade on a hit Nickelodeon show called Victorious. Once I heard her sing I was instantly enamoured. Since then Ariana has just grown into an all around very accomplished amazing artist. Working with many amazing artists such as big Sean, Nicki Minaj, Future, Childish Gambino, Including one of my all time male favorite artists, Mac Miller. (Rest in peace homie) She sure has come a long way since Cat Valentine.

Favorite songs right now by her are “Needy” and “Ghostin” off her latest album “Thank u next” 💕

Snoh Aalegra. The first song I heard from her was actually from an Apple commercial. I quickly scrambled to find the song which was “In your river” and was immediately hooked. Her soulful voice and lyrics just struck a cord in me. Her EP albums were amazing and her later works too. My two favorite albums by far though are her “Dont explain” and “Feels”. If you also haven’t already heard her song “Fool for you” well the song made it onto the COLORS YouTube channel and it was beautiful.

Wolftyla! The first song I heard by her was All Tinted and I instantly fell in love. Her voice, lyrics and beats all come together smoothly. This talented New Yorker R&B singer has worked with people such as Tory Lanez, Partynextdoor and Megan thee stallion. Her music is energetic, infectious, groovy and always gives a chill vibe feeling. Another song suggestion: Candy.

Oh Clairo ❤️ the first time I heard Clairo was from YouTube her song “Pretty girl”. I had no idea at the time just how popular she would become or just how much I would come to music. Her growth as an artist has been amazing. She’s a do it yourself artist who taught herself how to play guitar from Internet tutorials. Since then she’s released two albums. Ep diary 001 and Immunity.

Presenting NIKI. I first heard this lovely artist on Rich Brian’s album Amen. I bought her album Zephyr right after. The whole album from start to finish is beautifully crafted. A 90’s feel album with neo soul thrown in. Loved the album, love her

Billie Eilish, I hadn’t really heard of her until I stumbled onto COLORS a YouTube channel that features artists singing stripped down versions of their songs. Idon’twanttobeyouanymore was the first song I heard and I was amazed. Her growth in the music industry has been Phenomenal! Her personal growth as a person in her vanity fair interviews has also been great to see. Not one, not two but five Grammys! You go girl

Kali uchis...The first time I heard her was on the Tyler the creator’s song “fucking young/perfect” I had no idea how deeply I would fall for her. I immediately bought her albums “Por vida” and “Isolation” her sultry voice and wonderful lyrics know no bounds and she’s worked with artists like Cuco, Tyler the creator, Bootsy Collin and the gorillaz even! This Latina artist will always have a place this latino’s heart ♥️
