I had a science teacher in middle school who once said out loud in class that my mom had "played outside of the playground (Read: Had sex before marriage.) when she got pregnant of me after I answered what her age was and mine. Not only was that not true (mom had me after being married for more than 3 years), it also led to even more bullying from my classmates. (Everyone already bullied me in class by then.) Mom had to go to the school after I told her what happened to sort it all out and I felt awful about it for weeks.
