Wednesday’s tiny comments about Enid during the birthday chapter is so 💅🌈

1. I know people have already talked about Wednesday describing the way Enid’s skin “glows against a backdrop of hot pink” — but can we also talk about the offhand comment about Enid’s approval (that a detail that “trivial” would be important enough to mention at all) (plus the fact that: (a) Enid was unperturbed by Wednesday communing with the dead, and (b) despite the interruption moments prior, Wednesday didn’t snap at Enid at all) (there were other moments, some of them are smaller than others, but when you take everything together, you can actually see how both Enid and Wednesday are growing to accommodate/work around or through or with each others’ eccentricities)

2. Wednesday being protective over Enid

which isn’t something that comes out of the blue because (a) Wednesday is already naturally protective over people she cares about, and (b) because it’s also a development from a few chapters prior pre-Poe cup:

and then, after this, Wednesday immediately spends the entire night mcguyvering Enid’s canoe to ensure Bianca can’t win.

And, sure, Wednesday wasn’t doing it solely for Enid. Part of why she went above and beyond is very rooted in her strong sense of justice (i.e., Bianca’s a bully who needs to be humbled)—but the fact that this was also a moment for Wednesday to reflect (tho not totally delve) into her evolving feelings for Enid was the cherry on top.

people can believe what they want, but the fact that in the OFFICIAL wednesday season one novelisation, she kisses tyler to get closer to enid. wednesday thinks this is what enid wants her to do, after putting xavier away - she was perfectly happy to stay in the dorm with enid. she even thought when enid said “except someone to share it with” (in the flirty tone enid uses - wednesdays words, not mine), that enid was referring to herself. and not only was wednesday okay with it, she would’ve preferred it.

The Wenclair brain rot is crazy. All i think about is them and stuff like, what if Wednesday has the vision of Enid's death bc they were hugging again? Or how Enid is locked in on Wednesday's scent after wolfing out, that's how she was able to find Wednesday in Weems' office, that and being "practically inseparable"

In my head Wednesday does go visit Enid in San Francisco. Enid surprises Wednesday with a tour of Alcatraz and the entire tour Enid is hiding behind Wednesday like a scared puppy. With every creepy creek or unexpected sound Enid whimpers and moves closer to Wednesday until Enid is literally grabbing Wednesday's hand and cowering behind her. Wednesday's eyes widen to the sudden warmth interlocking her hand but doesnt pull away if anything she smirks ever so slightly. Does Enid regret setting the whole thing up? Yes. But ig at least Wednesday had fun. And they got to hold hands for a bit ;)
