Go Team Slugcats! Riv and I have uploaded our characters to the Rainworld artfight and here are the characters I have open to attack. I'll also probably post my artfight work here too - as well as finally picking up the story of GBN again after our sporadic posts lmao

How do ghosts and shrike remember each other or remind themselves of the other when they're apart?

Shrike: I only really spend more than a cycle away when I'm needed for a long time elsewhere, which isn't often. I suppose I don't often get the chance to miss him like he would me. I just make sure that wherever I am, I can see him, his output tells me how he's feeling. As for a reminder of him, the weapon I use when I hunt is a scythe he made for me from materials off of his own structure. I always have a piece of him with me, helping me ~

NOT CANNON TO GBN

So Riv and I (Blu) have been running a DND group for an AU of GBN where the rot is acting like a zombie apocalypse. One of the players managed to befriend Epithet and they had a conversation that reminded me of this audio. For context: Both of them are infected. Neurone colours show emotion, Epithet is currently feeling empathy (blue = sad, white = neutral) mixed with fear (purple)

the second acting senior meeting

EFUS: welcome, everyone, to the second acting senior meeting. I would hope everyone would following the guidelines set previously, however, Shrike, I have had notices of your travel outside of your group. You had better have a good reason for doing so

SHRIKE: Yes. I have. Because I have work to keep up with with Gil, a partner all the way across the continent, and an insatiable appetite that just bugs cannot satisfy. Wait are you tracking me?

EFUS: continue the work from Birds nest if you can. Communication lines exist.

AMF: Are there other sources of food in birds nest, or just bugs?

SHRIKE: Fish and a few lizards, but there's bigger stuff elsewhere, stuff that lasts longer. Anyway, no, the work must be in person, otherwise he might as well work with literally anyone else. And it's for the benefit of everyone so it's in your best interest I continue. You didn't answer my question though and I feel as though that is the raindeer in the room.

EFUS: we're rusty and the others are new. We just need to get everyone on the same page. This meeting is seniors only that means that we remove those who are not so we can discuss private matters safely.

AMF: ghosts was put on a blacklist after Land's End to prevent him from attacking other iterators and creating void fluid weapons without all of the seniors' agreement, passed via a vote. If he tries to he will have a headache and be incapable of significant progress towards his goal

SHRIKE: Oh would you look at that, the Archivist can recount a past event! So, what's in place to prevent further messes - Shadows this time.

EFUS: Shrike, if you do not get control over yourself then I will assign someone else as your senior. If you want to end up like Ghosts, please, continue as you are

SHRIKE: So you don't know. You're here preaching to know all there is to do with the council and you don't know this basic fact.

TFPC: Shrike, shut up from a minute. Shadows, yes, they're needed here, that's just what happens when you fall into seniority. But they're also needed elsewhere, and unfortunately Leviathans Ghosts has to take priority. Does that mean they can't do their senior duty? No. But it does mean you have to accept that that is how the council has run up here as long a they've been with him. Any issues with Ghosts go to Shrike, or myself.

EFUS: Ghosts hasn't done anything in cycles! It would be foolish of him to do something dangerous now!

TFPC: Mhm really. Because while you've been keeping Shrike away, his heat output has tripled. And stars knows what Seas was going to say. Speaking of…

Aqua moves over, picking Tempest up and inspecting them, she holds them in a gentle restraint, not trying to hurt, but not letting them go either

DA: oh my stars this is unprecedented! How on earth did you learn this? Is it a mark of some kind or has your species evolved? No wonder the other one was so hell bent on getting here!

Tempest squirms in her arms

T: hey-! Put me down, I am not some pet! I have an important job to do-!

DA: oh I am - I am sorry, I am not used to visitors and suddenly all this? I - I got ahead of myself. My name is Deep Aquarium, what is yours?

DA: I - I do not remember… my structure, my memories - Your friend must have left during a structure failure of mine. Come to think of it, one of my leviathans also went missing recently, somehow ended up in twisting weave, near the industrial zone … poor thing. Why are you looking for them?

I spent cycles on end putting up with you and your friends committing every karmic sin possible whilst you demanded a future where I found a solution to YOUR problem - a future that did not exist! You wanted the fame and the glory so badly that you tried to destroy all of my relationships with my fellow kind! Stars, you treated everyone around you horridly I am not surprised you got stuck in this situation! I am not surprised your ascension failed!
