finally finished this piece :3 They're literally married and in love and its fine everything is fine

i just think that after breaking her curse and realizing that her mom wasn't crazy, alice would lean into her culture a bit more (since i'm still adamant that her arc was an allegory for the first gen kid experience TM) so i think Alice would wear a qipao, or at least something red on her wedding day. Jen on the other hand, I think, would want to wear something that breaks away from tradition, so not something fully white and not a dress, but something elegant and empowering all the same :3

It's likely that Agatha and Nicky, with the itinerant life they led, often went hungry—the start of the "use your purple" scene is clearly meant to express that. Agatha's "We have not eaten for days" to the elder witch of the coven she drains not long after Nicky is born may not even have been entirely untrue. It's sad, but would be a probable fact of a life lived heavily on the run.

What you should not imagine, then, if you do not wish to feel deep melancholy, is Death Herself, Rio, THE Green Witch, sneaking along to the places where her wife and son are sleeping in the woods at night and causing an abundance of edible plants to grow nearby for Agatha to find and collect in the morning. Do not imagine her herding the occasional animal toward some snare Agatha has set. Do not imagine her doing everything she can to take care of her family even when they cannot properly be together.
